I have been going to this taco truck for a few years and they have decent breakfast tacos. I always get the beef fajita taco with pico, avocado and cheese. The fajita is really good but my only complaint is the flour tortillas are the the freshest. The owner and his daughters have always super friendly and the service is on point. So if you are ever in the Manvel area check this place out. They also have an assortment of items on the menu and you can get breakfast all day.

Amazing food and good prices for what you get. Big menu so if you don't know where to start i recommend the hamburger and fries.

I've been wanting to try Red Oak Cafe for a while…read more I love their back story and Christian theme. My friend & fellow elite and I arrived on a Saturday around 11AM and didn't have to wait for a table. I had the Big Breakfast which includes 2 pancakes. They have so many different mix-ins for their pancakes, anyone's bound to find their perfect mix-in combo. I think I found mine with the banana pecan mix-ins and sides of strawberry butter. The pancakes are huge. I ended up taking one home. The bananas weren't too sweet and had the perfect amount of ripeness for the pancakes. I ended up getting 2 sides of strawberry butter but could've easily eaten like four of the small . The biscuit with the big breakfast was fluffy and delicious especially with the yummy strawberry butter. The eggs over medium were cooked perfectly. The cheddar jalapeno grits were a little bland but did the trick. I tried my pal's hash browns and they were perfectly seasoned and thoroughly cooked but not crispy. The hash browns are definitely the better option over the grits. The bacon was delicious and perfectly crispy. I asked the waiter for crispy but not burnt bacon and he got it just right. The restaurant was warm and inviting. The waiter was super personable and helpful. I felt like I was at breakfast Disneyland. I was able to get anything I wanted with no problem and with the kindest most helpful attitude from the waiter. I look forward to returning!

Just moved to Pearland and dropped off my Max at dental. Stopped by for a quick breakfast and stayed for over an hour. Didnt even realize that stayed this long. Ordered huevos rancheros with coffee. For those straight black coffee, this is perfect you. And the refried beans, eggs over medium and flour are good. Taking my flour tortilla home to warm up later. Staff are polite & check on you regularly. And even if I'm not a local resident they treated me just like them. Definitely will return. And if you want faster service, drop in at 7 am. This waitress was super nice and quickly took our drink order while we looked over the menu. They have Mexican and American breakfast staples on the menu to keep everyone happy. The prices are great and the food was at the table in record time. On to the food we go....... Huevos Celosos ... $5.99. 8/10 2 eggs, any style, covered with green and red sauce, served with beans, home fries, and tortillas This was a perfect breakfast choice, everything on the plate was excellent. Had my eggs over easy, the red sauce was slightly sweet and the green sauce was tangy as it should be . The potatoes were cooked perfectly and the refried beens were on point. The tortillas are not homemade but they served their purpose. They were actually better than some homemade tortillas. Chips and Salsa. $2.99. 6/10 Thy are available during breakfast for a few dollars extra. The salsa was tasty with just a bit of spice , the chips were thin and crispy. This is a simple Mexican diner serving up some great food at a great price. I will definitely be back to try out more of the menu. The customer service, food quality and location are all perfect. Stop in and give them a try.

We don't talk about Alvin, TX enough so let me shed some light on this great place. I've had…read moreGordon Street Tavern on my list for awhile for the simple fact that they sell scotch eggs. You just don't see that often and I wanted to try it. The stars aligned and my family and I met up here for a weeknight dinner. Alvin is the true definition of a small town. It is just south of Pearland and life moves a little slower out here. Atleast for time being as it is becoming more developed now. The building itself is old and full of character. Everyone seemed to know each other. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, but service was a tad bit slow at times. My family isn't a big drinking family so we stuck with water and sodas, but they have quite a nice bar program here. They have a really impressive beer selection, a long list of specialty cocktails and lots of wine to choose from. I'm definitely coming back to check that out without the fam. For appetizers, we got an order of the scotch eggs and the Bavarian pretzel sticks. This was my first introduction to scotch eggs and a wonderful one at that. You really can't go wrong with anything wrapped in sausage and deep friend. It was a nice treat and something I will not be sharing next time. The pretzels were also very good. Our waitress suggested some cheese sauce to accompany those. These sticks of goodness were excellent. For my entree, I was stuck on a few items as their menu is pretty extensive. Our waitress said my option for the Pork Milanesa was the way to go, so I did. I've had milanesa at Mexican restaurants, but never in a tavern nor prepared this way. This was hand battered in panko and then topped with a mushroom gravy. It comes with broccoli and mashed potatoes but I substituted the veggie for mac and cheese. This dish was very good and the portions were very generous. Enough for me to have a full second meal minus the sides. The pork was thinly pounded and kept it's crunch even doused in gravy. The gravy was rich and very delicious. My family got a mix of items like the philly cheese steak, flat iron steak salad, tavern salad, and chicken fried steak. For research purposes and for my loyal readers, I tried everything. There wasn't anything that was bad to me. We were full so desserts didn't happen on this trip. Overall, Gordon Street Tavern is a solid spot that I would happily return to if in the area.

The service was great and they are very attentive. Cornbread: They came out with regular rolls but the cornbread was my favorite. It wasnt very sweet. It was more like a savory and warm cornbread muffin. It was pretty good though. Chicken fried chicken: As you can see from my picture, it is massive. The chicken breading is great and it is nice and crispy. The chicken breast was juicy and came out nice and hot. They put the gravy on the side so its perfect to dip. Mashed potatoes: The mashed potatoes were great. They are smooth with no skin or chunks inside. The gravy came on top which added great flavor. Mac and Cheese: My mac and cheese came out a little cold but it was alright. It wasn't extremely cheesy either, it just tasted a little plain for my taste. I wish it was more cheesy and warmer. Buttered corn: Speaks for itself. It's corn kernels and butter. Cant mess that up. Overall, very good food and you can tell lots of butter was put into every dish. So just beware if you don't like overly salty food!!!
