The tamales are very flavorful I think they have chicken and then maybe a shredded beef. either way, both of them are really good they're cooked fully they are not dry and they're always hot. Such tasty lil street tacos and really good burritos. I prefer the asada tacos but their al pastor is very flavorful (albeit too dry for my taste but the pineapple is always nice.) Everything is made well and the salsas are tasty, too. Salsa verde is very mild and the salsa roja a bit on the smoky side. Side of radish, cucumber, and lime slices - love these little touches. I found out about this place by searching Yelp for late night Mexican options. They were closed at night, however, I went the next day. I saw there was a little wait on the truck which to me, was a good sign. The menu was pretty expansive, but I decided on getting the chorizo quesadilla, carne asada taco, chips and guacamole. This is a taco truck located in the parking lot of a Mexican market on 5th Ave. They have a nice sized menu, and the tacos are about $1.50 which is cheaper than the various taco trucks I've been to around the city. They take cash or credit card, though if you pay with your card you'll have to go inside the market to pay. Now onto the food...I got four street tacos with the usual cilantro and onion goodness :) my first impression was that the meat could've been a bit juicier. I normally don't need sauce because the freshly squeezed lime on top is juuust right, but these needed most of the salsa they gave me. Also, note that if you don't like spicy, the mild sauce does have a kick to it, I had to take sips of water after every bite. They also have more traditional offerings. It usually can be found outside of the Mexican Market on 5th Avenue. It doesn't sell drinks out of the truck so you have to get something from the store. This is also good to kill time while you wait. It's not as popular maybe because it looks kind of, you know, authentic. This may scare some people off. Please give it a chance. They have good food and prices. A taco is about $2 each. They're topped with some of the freshest cilantro you can get. Burritos are $6, and they're pretty big. The only thing is there's nowhere to sit. If you want good Mexican get something from Taquiera Los Primos. It has super authentic tasting food. They also take credit cards too. read more

Great Mexican food truck permanently located near Fifth and Neil in Victorian Village. They have a surprisingly extensive menu. Great tacos complete with the necessary (but too often not served) condiments (see picture) and nicely priced at $1.50. I had a green tamale which was good. Make sure to ask for the HOT sauce...but be careful when you pour it on. Remember to check out the adjacent Grocery store. Jimmy really appreciates a nice family business. The owners are lovely people who always ask about my daughter. All of the tacos are great but the al pastor are especially good. Get the red sauce for them (which is spicy). Get the verde for the chicken tacos. Jimmy likes eating a Chicken Richard. This is their chicken burrito with only beans, cheese, and rice. Jimmy named it after his friend Richard from LA who doesn't think lettuce, tomato, and sour cream is needed. He was right. Oh Richard. Get the red sauce. The chicken enchiladas are awesome as are the tamales. Pro-tip, the market next to the truck has great spices for cheap. You can get saffron for 1/4 of what you'll pay at the North Market. I was all set to hit up Junior's last night, which used to be one of my favorite trucks in the city. I've seen the quality decline in the year and a half I've lived here, so now I just get it when I'm in a taco pinch and can't get up to Taquequin. But something told me to go across the street to the other truck that doesn't seem to get much attention. Los Primos is a gem. We got steak tacos and an al pastor torta. Honestly, I think I've found yet another taco truck that I'd call the best in the city. The tacos were perfect. For $1.50 they were served on perfectly warmed double corn tortillas with the perfect amount of perfectly chopped cilantro and onion. Yes, that's a lot of perfect going on. The meat was hot, juicy and tender, even after I brought it home. Perfectly seasoned, it didn't really need anything else, but I decided to throw on a pinch of lime and try the sauces. The green sauce is great. It's not too tangy, too salty, or too watered down as they tend to be. The red sauce is spicy and medium-smoky. Probably a good amount of adobo based on the color and consistency. Any combination of green, red, lime, or no sauce at all was just right for these tacos. I couldn't find a losing combo! The torta was insanely good. The bread was chewy in the inside with the right amount of flaky/crunchiness on the outside. The al pastor was marinated in a rich and tangy sauce, cooked until tender. Probably not done on a spit, but it didn't matter: this was some of the best al pastor I've ever had. read more

The tacos alone make this place worth a drive. Its a restaurant on wheels but I don't think they drive it anywhere. Price is fair considering the authentic flavor. If you're searching for authentic Mexican cuisine in Columbus, as I have for the last 3 years, this is the place for you. The taco truck is cheap, filling, and wholesome. I've had the pork tacos on numerous occasions, the chorizo tacos, and the steak burrito. The pork tacos are not shredded meat so don't expect that! But they are perfectly seasoned. The chorizo tacos are the real winner honestly; they have a great flavor and spice. The tacos overall are small but cheap, so try a bunch of different kinds! The steak burrito is only 6.50$ and is very filling, however the last time I had it there wasn't as much steak as I expected (which would explain the lower price compared to steak burritos from other establishments). Another plus to this truck is that it's right next to a Mexican market! So go and get a Coke in a bottle and enjoy your meal. read more

I went and got enchiladas. It took a really long time to get the order, and the enchiladas were like grounded. It was weird. The beans are really runny and don't taste good.
