Best Birria AND agua de Jamaica I've had in a WHILE. I got the Birria torta and my bf got menudo and both were delicious! The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and kind. Even the chips and salsa they bring out prior to ordering your food is fresh made and perfectly seasoned. When we came in it was a Sunday afternoon and the whole place was empty besides one other table. This place is worthy of your business and if you're even 30 mins away trust me it's worth the drive. I would like to see this place get the attention it deserves. Definitely will be coming back often! This former food trailer now has a storefront. Decided to stop by for lunch. Before I even get to the food, let's start with the ambiance. The restaurant is small - there are 6 booths and some bar style seating. No worries though as the sound system is equivalent to something you would find at a small outdoor concert - and it is loud. So, if you like music - you're in luck, but no conversations while you eat. The food - definitely worth stopping for. I have been here several times and have had the sopes, elote, and a torta. Surely needed drinks prior to ordering but not sure why they would wait 20 minutes to give you water. Ordered the rice, bean and guacamole combo and two quesadilla birrias. I went with my sister to try the tacos and they were great! The man working the counter was so polite and professional! They take credit and cash no problem with touch free pay if your card has it. Personally, their corn tortillas are better than the flour and I would order corn tortillas next time. I tried one beef fajita taco, one chicken taco, and a horchata. The tacos come hot and fresh with a good portion. Don't forget the sauce! The red sauce is so spicy, I love it! At $2 a taco I am quite happy with my order and will definitely go again for the tacos. The horchata was good, not amazing, but not bad either. I plan to try their lemonada next time. I did see Birria tacos, gorditas, and others great eats on the menu to try next time. Taqueria Dos Amigos is my favorite taco truck place in the area. Location: They actually moved from Kuykendahl and Spring Cypress to a small lot one block up from their previous location. They now have an enclosed overhead space which connects to the taco truck which makes eating and ordering a bit more cozy. Customer Service: Very nice lady who always greets with a warm smile I think there's also one other lady who does the cooking, kudos to her as well! Food: Try their Pastor Tacos on corn tortilla! I believe it's marinated pork in red sauce. It's flavorful and not spicy despite it's red hot color. If you get lucky, you can find bits of pineapple along with the meat. They usually throw on onions and cilantro which gives the taco a nice balance. They actually make their corn tortillas fresh! We normally get their corn tortillas, it's delicious If you look inside the window of the food truck, you will get a glimpse of their tortilla press. If you like spicy, try their spicy chili sauce. It is the best deep chili sauce I've had. They put great thought and care into their food and you can really tell.
