Before I get to the food, I've gotta say the service is always top notch. We're pretty picky with what we want and dont want on our orders and they always get it right. The asada fries are so good and the carne asada nachos are my favorite. Carne asada nachos is my usual. Almost forgot, the chips and salsa are also really good. The chips are always fresh and crispy. The salsa is mild and the perfect consistency, not too thick or thin. The restaurant is a little on the small side so if you're coming with a big group you may not all fit but we've always been lucky I guess. It's small but always clean and you can smell the food cooking in the kitchen. Yum. Waterford is lucky to have a place like this. The service when ordering the food was great, and day of pickup they loaded the back on my car with the food for me, fantastic service all around! I visited this restaurant in Waterford, CA a few years ago, so maybe things have changed since. I recall it being a very simple looking restaurant. The food was okay, nothing special that I can remember. I was there for a business meeting, therefore I remember the quiet atmosphere in which we were able to discuss our meeting topics without being drowned by the ambient noise you normally hear at a busy restaurant. I probably order twice here and feel that the food is made pretty sloppy & half ass and ingredients are not fresh , I've gotten nachos and they use the watery chicken so in about 5 minutes into your nachos all the chips will be soggy and wet and there will be juice from the chicken all over the container,then I got asada tacos took them 2 minutes to make the radish taste like 2 days old had like a poisoning taste to it,i instantly spit that out and my lemon was super old and soggy gross like if it was already used ,they use salsa for the chips for your tacos "not Mexican to me"and the asada had a lot of fat, bland taste to it, not really grilled more like boiled in a pan, you can probably get better tacos at the taco truck for sure Mexican food for white people tho that never had real Mexican food in their life out the town,, read more

Best Mexican food in the area. We just moved to Waterford and within the month of us living here a majority of it we have had a broken stove and fridge we we had ample opportunity to eat out. Love this place. The food is great and the service is amazing. They have the best shrimp burritos and their Camerones ala Diabla sauce is amazing!. I've had the breakfast burritos as well, both the linguiça and ham.. both very good and a good price. The wet burritos with green sauce are very good as well. The food would've been decent, if it had been warm. Main reason for the low review is the cleanliness of the restaurant. There were several tables dirty(so many i cleaned one myself to sit down) and only maybe 4 people eating in. There were flies all over, it was super stuffy and kinda smelled weird. They called our number to pick up our own food also...not a problem if you're busy, but with at least 5 employees in the back with no other customers waiting on food, tables needing to be cleared and a filthy restaurant it's a problem to me. Ordered the Carnitas Wet Burrito. Employees were friendly, and the amount of food they give you should be plenty for most people. Being from the east coast, I haven't been to many taquerias, however, from the 5-7 that I've been to, this one is by far the best! I live in San Jose, but every time I come to the central valley (about 2 times a month), I ALWAYS eat here. It's a small taqueria with not alot of parking, although from the times I've gone (over 40 times) it never gets really packed. There's a tv usually playing sports and seating isn't bad. The staff is extremely friendly. Takeout is usually really busy and you get free chips when dining in. On to the food. Good sized menu with good variety serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I usually order burritos, rice, beans, enchiladas, and quesadillas. My favorite is the beef super burrito with everything on it. The best burrito I've ever had. That simple. It's full of flavor, with the perfect portions of meat and everything else that makes this burrito. The burritos use to be huge! They downsized, but they still rival Chipotle's burritos. The chips are good with the variety of salsas available. The guacamole isn't anything special, but its not why I come here. Rice and beans are good too! Combination meals are good and well priced. Horchata and other Mexican drinks are available. The horchata is a winner! This place is so good I speed from the bay at times to get my burrito fix before closing time! On top of that, you can't beat the extremely low prices! Dining for 2, drinks and chips included usually comes out around $10. $10 for 2!
