Great no-frills lunch spot for fresh tacos, burritos, tortas, and bowls. Vegetarian options too. Easy off the highway in Westbrook, close to the outlets. Felt sorry for everyone going into the Subway next door for lunch - their loss!

This place is amazing. Best authentic Mexican food on the shoreline. Enchiladas al pastor and the tres leches cake are my go to items.

Delicious Mexican food served with a smile. The staff is always so nice, and I haven't eaten anything there that I didn't absolutely love!

Awesome food truck feel, but with a reliable storefront! I ordered takeout about a dozen times, and the food is consistently delicious!

It's a small spot with a few seats so it's more of a grab a go or delivery option but I will absolutely be back.

We did have a special buffalo chicken taco, which was fabulous!! It was our first time at Sayulita since giving up alcohol, and I was definitely missing their margaritas. I had a grapefruit Mexican soda, but next time I'll ask if they can make me a yummy mocktail. The restaurant is about double the size of the Glastonbury location, so check it out if you want the best tacos without the long wait!!

We opted for an early dinner…read moreknowing how popular this place gets, especially with their no-reservations policy--which can mean a bit of a wait during peak hours. Fortunately, we were seated quickly. Service was excellent, and the vibrant, modern atmosphere felt trendy yet comfortable. Noise levels were pretty manageable, even as the dining room filled up. I had the buttermilk fried chicken taco, which had great texture and crunch--just a touch more seasoning would've really made it shine. The pork belly taco was melt-in-your-mouth tender with rich flavor, though the celery and apple slaw on top didn't quite hold up--it looked great but lacked the apple part and was dry. Next time, I think I'd try one of the other interesting tacos instead. For my main dish, I had the cilantro pesto chicken burrito with rice and beans--delicious, generously filled, and perfectly seasoned. My girlfriend had the mushroom enchiladas, which were hearty and earthy, though a bit more seasoning could have brought out the full potential of the dish, as it seemed like it was just unseasoned mushrooms in a tortilla. Overall, Sayulita remains a solid choice with consistently good food, friendly service, and a lively vibe. A reservation option would make it even better--but until then, arriving early is the way to go!

During our visit, the support staff stepped up effectively and even the bartender helped bring drinks to the tables. We will excuse this less than timely service as the one waitress did a great job and they will undoubtedly get more personnel after they are open longer. We did feel sorry for one couple we observed who had a very long wait, the reason for which was hard to discern. The food was delicious! We had three different enchiladas with rice and pinto beans; the beans were exceptionally tasty - definitely not just out of a can. We also tried the evening's excellent special - grilled steak, chicken, and shrimp with fresh asparagus and zucchini. Portions were generous. We will return in a few weeks by which time they should have ironed out their server needs.

Really no seasoning at all and burrito was basically fully of hard crunchy rice with no flavor. Too bad I wanted to like the place and the interior and service was good but for $20 burrito filled with almost nothing but old crunchy flavorless rice I can't reccomend. Wish the owners would read the reviews because there is potential here but not if the food is bland, overpriced and insulting teaspoon on guac and sour cream to go with my massive flour tortilla filled with nothing but rice. Shoreline could really use a decent Mexican place and the drink menu is good but this missed the mark big time. Wish I could rate 2.5 stars but due to nice bartender and clean inside and drink menu I decided to rate up to a 3. Edit to add: I posted this review as we were leaving- owner came out to confront me about it. The review above is unchanged from what I originally posted. Was very a la Amy's Baking Company. Take that for what it's worth- not all are interested in feedback.
