But we found it hard to get them - one day they had no chicken or pork, another day the wait for the tacos from ordering was said to be 30 minutes even though only one other person was there, and on a Friday we thought it was closed (because that it what Yelp says), and so we ate elsewhere only to drive by later and see that it was open. Also, the lady running the truck was a little irritable and short. But we did finally get tacos on Saturday and, as said, they were excellent and for us, personally, that was more important than the headache getting them and the attitude of the lady, and so we will definitely be back next time in Maui. read more

Besides the amazing food, the owner of this place is the nicest guy! When we first got there, we were told that fresh fish would be there in 15 minutes. So we decided to wait and I'm so glad we did. The fish was so tender is almost tasted like chicken. And that green sauce they use is really spicy but so good! We got fish tacos and I got a breakfast taco that was made up of eggs, cheese and potato. These are pretty big tacos so 2 was enough to fill me up! I'll definitely be back. Wife and I tried to avoid going to the same place twice for food while on vacation but we loved this place so much we came back 3 times. Got the three alarm tacos (mine without potatoes) and the spicy hot sauce, wasn't insanely hot for me but we love spicy food; every time we were there we had a nice conversation with the owners. Orders tend to stack up and when they run out of meats they are out but the wait was well worth it to us and the meats aren't super important (because the main tacos don't need them). After recently returning from Austin and experiencing the magic of a migas taco, we were excited to learn of this truck in Lahaina. The truck is cute, and the tacos are decent, but the complete lack of customer service and inability to multitask by the staff means I won't return (visited twice hoping the first rude experience was a one-off but was treated the same by a different staff member the second visit). The tacos are also extremely overpriced - sign says $6.75 each but when I paid I was told it was $14 for 2 tacos. I realize things are expensive these days but I just can't justify $7 for ONE TACO when the staff aren't even friendly plus a 15+ minute wait to boot. read more

People who complain they're aren't good tacos in Hawaii haven't been to TaquerEATa. Owner Gina is a one woman operation taking orders and cooking in a taco truck. Tacos are made one at a time so orders do take awhile and she can get backed up, but your patience will be rewarded with super fresh and tasty treats. Both the Migas and Three Alarm are like eating warm hugs. These super loaded, egg based tacos are the best breakfast. Found this food cart on yelp. It's so cute with the outside seating plus so many positive reviews that I had to try it. Tried the $5 daily Mahi taco special. It's one taco which I guess doesn't travel well. By the time I got back I couldn't hold it as a taco and had to eat it as a salad. It was tasty but definitely not a meal. Sauces on the tacos were DELICIOUS, a white cream one on the fish taco & a chipotle sauce on the shrimp taco. The corn tortillas were fresh, soft, and tasty. The service was also great!
