Im never one to give bad reviews it sucks that i have to write this , but i Was looking forward to coming here , as I seen the good reviews. As soon as I walked in it felt like I wasn't welcomed or was a bother . Ambiance was fine. Food was fine. Taco de lengua was great but barbacoa and asada were really dry. . But man I'm not sure if I came at the wrong time or day because the man working the front and cooking did not even care that I was a buying customer. I honestly regretted even buying the food. I would say that the pricing is fair for the area and good to get a bite for lunch. The music in the place is rather louder although it might just be ambient that they are creating. There is more opportunity in the area to pay a little more and get better food. I wish it still had a little more of a 'kick' or style to their food. Way overdue, but I need to give my friends at Tapicozza their love. Pizza and tacos? Are you kidding? I was skeptical at first when moving into Villa Park 1.5 years ago, but decided to order pizza from them. Boy, was I glad I did. Walking in, you feel at home, and the staff is out of this world. Definition of hospitality. Their Mexican Pizza is something special for fans of bold flavors and spicy/savory amazement. And their cheese pizza? Would hold it's own in any pizza competition. Not greasy, great crust, ideal blend of sauce and cheese. Now their tacos. After having such a lovely time with their pizza, I knew what had to be done next. I've tried most of their tacos, and at 3.25 a pop, you get every penny out of it. The onion and cilantro reigns supreme to me over the lettuce and tomato, but both hold their own. I cannot give a great review on their dinner plates, as I have never tried one, but off of their pizza and tacos, I cannot imagine those would come close to disappointing. My bf has been raving about this place so I was delighted when he brought us Tapicozza for dinner. I live in the city and my bf was nearby this place for his work so surprised me with takeout. He came home with: Chips & salsa- salsa was homemade, so fresh and delicious! The chips were super greasy and I think twice fried bc of the dripping grease. Calzone: this was huge and did not look anything like the one on the menu. We got it with two toppings of pepperoni and onion. It wasn't bad but we will be sticking with tacos. 4 Tacos: steak, chicken, shrimp, and chorizo. We loved all of them. The sauces that come with it is delicious too!! Horchata: delicious!! Delicious Mexican food with wonderful service. They've got good deals daily, so check-out the sign on the window as you're walking in. I got three tacos, all with onions and cilantro. The steak was by far my favorite. Deliciously marinated in a double-wrapped corn tortilla. I liked the pastor one next with the hit of citrus, and the carnitas were still good, just my least favorite of the three. I sometimes work nearby, so this will definitely become one of my favorite places to duck into for a quick lunch! read more

Tapicozza has the incredible combination of tacos and pizza under one roof! Tucked away in an old strip with other Hispanic storefronts, it's easy to miss driving by. We tried a variety of steak, pastor and grilled shrimp tacos. They were all seasoned very well and super flavorful! It came with four different sauces, the regular red and green as well as an creamy orange and green (Chitpole and Cilantro?) sauces, and all of them were great! Of the three, the steak meat was slightly dry by itself, but not very noticeable with the sauces. Very solid and authentic. read more

I was disappointed. She said her chicken wasn't very good. Almost as if it was rib meat or some kind of alternate meat? No horchata, the machines were down; apparently, I don't know. The food is fresh made, the flavors are great, and the prices are reasonable. The horchata was well balanced and not too sweet and the portions of everything have been generous. I decided to get a steak burrito dinner, which was very fulfilling, the rice & beans was very complimentary to the burrito. The rice is apparently made fresh every day & you could tell by how it didn't looked or tasted any hard whatsoever. the beans are great too but I'm more of a rice eater. As for their pizza, you can apparently make the pizza with any meat/ even the ones they use for their tacos or simply a veggie one, according to the owner himself. I had to order a Hawaiian/Pepperoni pizza as I was craving one for some time now, it was excellent. Will come back for sure to try out their other ingredients! read more

I have tried many of the taco places in Lombard and this one is the best! All of the meats used in the tacos are flavorful and seasoned perfectly. The chips are awesome as well. The rice and beans were the best I have ever had and I usually don't get that thrilled on most places rice and beans. They have other offerings there that I will have to try next time. I am not sure about the pizza here but the Mexican food is awesome. Chips were fresh made. Very crispy and some of the best salsa I have had. Plus they have like five or six other salsas you can try with varying degrees of heat. Had the tostada with steak and the meat was flavorful and tender. My son had pork tacos and said they were delicious. Two were more than enough to fill him up. Tried this place for lunch today and it was great. My family had an order of steak and an order of chicken fajitas. There was a ton of food, lots of meat and lots of veggies and it was delicious! Small salsa bar with really good salsas and the chips are homemade. I highly recommend this place. The pizza is also good but they have been very aggressively raising the prices on almost everything which is making it not as worth it as it used to be.
