I wait on hold…read moreforever and when I finally get an operator they say a nurse will call me back, but it doesn't happen. (Ive tried several times). The recording says you can avoid the hold time by sending a text. But that just gets lost in the ether. It also suggests going to the patient portal, but I had to talk to their IT specialist (in India!) just to get the account activated, and then when I did, the interface wouldn't allow me to send a message to the PCP no matter what I did. It kept forcing me to make an appointment, but when I did that, the appointment was never confirmed. They seem to want you to go to their urgent care clinic instead. This practice is badly managed and if you've got a serious problem you could end up in the hospital or worse before you get any help with it.

Not necessarily higher quality medical care than asking ChatGPT, mind you, but they do at least provide a living human body to Google medical information for you and give you whatever answers they feel like in the moment. Since I have a somewhat higher standard for medical care, if I got shot on the sidewalk outside of Cooley Dickinson, I have lost so much faith over my two visits there, I would tell the ambulance crew to take me to Springfield or Greenfield, because I would rather bleed out in the back of an ambulance and go to hell than be treated at Cooley Dickinson for a third time.

I'd…read morestruggled with my health since infancy, and never really understood my medical condition until I became a patient at NIM when I was in my 30s. I love NIM and don't know where I'd be without this clinic! It's one of the only allergy clinics in the country that does end-point-titration allergy-therapy, which makes such a big difference in successfully controlling my allergies. (I used to have to fly from Massachusetts to Dallas for end-point titration!) I've suffered in the past with terrible, debilitating autoimmune symptoms, which Dr Lynch--who actually cares, listens and works with me--helped me resolve with natural supplements, dietary adjustments, allergy shots, and minimal medications. The NIM staff is kind and efficient, and I believe it's no accident that there is low staff turnover. Some staff have been there for as long as I've been a patient. I very highly recommend NIM to anyone suffering from chronic health conditions.
