The place is very nicely decorated and has an upscale vibe. The young lady who waited on us was very nice and spoke pretty good English. She was very helpful and accommodating with our special requests as we had a couple. The food was delicious and so reasonably priced this place is a no brainer. We wish we lived in the area just so we could be regulars, the food was that good. I had a snack of mushrooms, bacon, and a sunny side up egg, with a side order of buttered bread and though it was a different dish, it's something I plan to make at home myself. Two in our party had the daily special of pork loin with salad, and rice, and our other friend had the spaghetti bolognese, all good. If you are in the area, give this place a try, you won't regret it.

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. The greeter stopped by our table, one more time to advise us that the restaurant would be closed tomorrow as a group of 40 Asians rented the place out "because we are so good." His total attitude turned us off. As we left, the restaurant was not even 1/2 full, so I'm not sure why he was put out that we had not made reservations. There are better places to eat in Óbidos.

Not a lot for the price, and the duck was rather drowned out by the sauces (great sauces though). Duck rice... was just ok. Wasn't a lot of duck in it - it was mostly just... rice? Very skippable. Beef cheek stew, omg. If this is still on the menu, don't skip it. A little price for the size, but unlike the other bowl, hearty, filling, and just wonderfully tasty. Also just love how much less of a markup there is Portugal on wine, where a glass of house rose of this quality for the equivalent of 4 euro would be near unheard-of.
