We grabbed two seats at the bar and had two cocktails and two salads for lunch. Our drinks were a Pomegranate Mule ($13.00) with Pomegranate, ginger beer, vodka, and lime, and a regular Margarita. I had a Chicken Cobb Salad ($15.00) with chicken, romaine, deviled eggs, avocado, charred sweet corn, cherry tomato, radish, pickled onion, sunflower seeds, ranch, lemon drizzle. It was excellent, but the Deviled Eggs were missing and replaced by avocado slices. We arrived around 4:15, which was too early for the dinner menu. Free 3 hour valet parking is available from the hotel for any visitors dining at either of the hotel restaurants, and we took advantage. The Lobby Bar is just up the stairs from the main entrance. The dining area was closed and we didn't want to wait till 5 for it to open. A limited bar menu was available for folks eating at the bar. My wife and I found menu items that we wanted to try, so got someone's attention and were given a high-top bar table to the side...it ended up being a bit too small for the food we ordered, but the nice waiter and we made it work. We shared a local tap beer (West Sixth Sunshade Wheat $9 for a pint), which was good. The bourbon barrel fries ($11) were OK, the typical batter dipped fries served everywhere which in my mind tends to take away from the taste of the potato...it came with a weird tasting ketchup (thinking this is where the 'bourbon' in the name comes in). The Lobby Bar Wings ($15 for eight) were OK (simple deep fried chicken wings), and the choice of the Korean sauce was a mistake...should have just stuck with the other choice of classic Buffalo. The star was the Hot Brown ($34): Roasted Turkey Breast, Toast Points, Mornay Sauce, tomatoes, and Pecorino Romano Cheese...put together and baked golden brown and finished with bacon strips. The sauce looked like it should be very heavy, but it surprisingly was not, and the hand carved turkey breast was excellent. We finished this together and really enjoyed it. Since it had to be baked individually, it took the longest to come out. Service was decent throughout, and there was good free WiFi throughout the hotel, not requiring PII entry. There was a piano right next to us, and the pianist was good, though it was a bit loud at certain points. We paid our waiter after we finished, and went to a different valet to get our car. Since they knew were dining, it had been just parked in the few spots belonging to the hotel, and we were able to be on our way pretty quickly.
