I most recently visited Dr. Yoo late last year. I had a weird growth on the bottom of my lower lip that I was fervently hoping would go away on its own, but it never did. It looked a bit like a blackhead, but it was something else, because it was there for many months. Dr. Yoo told me the technical name for it when I saw her, but I don't remember what it is. It wasn't really changing in size or appearance, and unlike a few moles that Dr. Yoo has removed, I really wasn't concerned about it as a medical issue. Dr. Yoo let me know that because it was a cosmetic issue, I would need to pay the full fee for it. She estimated the fee, and it seemed reasonable, so I went ahead and got it removed. It took 2 separate appointments, and the final cost fell exactly within her estimate range, so I appreciated that. My growth was removed, and I needed to return for the second visit in order to get the stitch taken out. I was concerned by how my lip appeared when I returned, the area where the growth had been looked darker than I'd expected and a bit more red as well, but my concerns were addressed and allayed, and within another 1 - 2 weeks after the second appointment, my lip looks as though it never had a growth at all, which was the precise result I was most hoping for. Dr. Yoo's MA is very personable and professional, as are the excellent reception staff. The waiting room is pleasant, the checking in process is seamless, and I am always seen by the Doctor within a timely manner. I plan on continuing with Dr. Yoo as my Dermatologist for the foreseeable future. I highly recommend both Dr. Yoo and this Office. Seattle Skin and Laser is going by Frontier Dermatology now, so I may see if their new name is on Yelp, and, if so, I may repost this review there too. It is so nice to have a Dermatologist whom I can trust.

I had a biopsy and after finding out I have a large cancer on my lower back I cancelled the necessary surgery there to go to Virginia Mason on Monday, knowing time is important, still w no schedule and expecting a delay. That's how much I HATE THIS COMPANY. There's much I won't mention. Too much. If you have a real medical condition go to a REAL Doctor. This ain't the joint.

We had exhausted multiple options, including over-the-counter treatments and several visits to his pediatrician for professional wart treatments, but nothing seemed to work. After researching specialists online, I came across Dr. Greene's practice. From our very first visit, it was clear we were in excellent hands. Not only is Dr. Greene highly skilled, but he also has a remarkable ability to connect with children. He took the time to explain to my son exactly what a wart is, why it forms, and how he planned to treat it. My son had countless questions, and Dr. Greene answered every one with patience and kindness. The treatment was thorough, and we left with a clear at-home care plan. After a year-long battle, the wart was finally gone. The relief for my son was tremendous. He could walk comfortably again without his shoes rubbing against the wart. Dr. Greene's expertise, communication, and genuine care made all the difference. We are so thankful to him and his team for helping us solve a problem. I highly recommend Dr. Greene to anyone seeking treatment for stubborn warts or other dermatologic concerns.

Practices reach capacity. That's normal. Accepting patients, allowing them to wait for months, and only then discovering you lack the capacity to see them is not. It reflects a pretty fundamental failure of planning and practice management. Frankly, it made me question how confidently I could rely on this office to manage anything else. My conversation with the office manager, Wendy, was perhaps the most illuminating part. When I pointed out that the practice should have stopped accepting new patients before making appointments it couldn't honor, she was dismissive and essentially told me they could run their business however they wanted. Coming from the person responsible for managing the office, the irony was hard to miss. And she's right, they can. But patients can also choose where to put their time, trust, and money. I'd choose a practice that views its commitments to patients as actual commitments, rather than inconveniences that can be discarded when its own poor planning catches up with it.

Going in, I was concerned about getting a good cosmetic result. Making the appointment through Vagaro was easy, walked me through a thorough intake form, and allowed me to choose my esthetician. I went with Allegra who was a darling from the minute I stepped into Dermaspace. Any worries or fears quickly drifted off given the dim lighting, chill music and zen ambiance. Allegra had a sweet personality, explained the entire process from start to finish, was knowledgeable about anything related to skincare and health, and most importantly, gentle. The facial was around an hour and fifteen minutes, including a discussion of my skin concerns, allergies, goals, etc. It consisted of roughly four total steps: 1) Gentle facial cleansing and exfoliation 2) Moisturization and detoxification using yucca soaked cloth within a volcanic heated cone 3) Deep cleaning of my entire face, clearing out any and all clogged pores 4) Ionization facial wrap of nourishing cotton with a leather mask connected to low voltage electrical current in order to ionize the solution. Afterwards, my face felt completely refreshed and as if years were taken off. There is a reason it has won the best facial in Seattle/PNW for many years--the treatment is truly results driven and very effective. I plan to be back soon.

Dr Ramsey Markus was dismissive, brusque, condescending and rushed. I had provided a list of my concerns at the time I booked my appointment, and was prepared to ask all my skin questions and concerns during the visit. Dr Markus dismissed several things I asked him about during exam, including something another doc had told me about a dermatofibroma. His general tone was condescending as if I, without a MD after my name, wouldn't know anything about skin conditions. During my skin check, Dr Markus identified a potential skin cancer and reluctantly performed a biopsy at the time of my visit, per my request - stating his schedule was busy. I understood this, as I booked my appointment in January for first available at the end of April. "Pertinent negatives" section of my visit notes inaccurately stated I had no previous history of skin cancer. I had disclosed when booking my appointment that I had a history of squamous cell skin cancer in 2014. Dr Markus did not specifically offer treatment options for skin tags or milia, as stated in his visit notes. When I asked him about the milia around my eyes, he told me, "some people make milia." Across the board, the visit notes in my file did not reflect what he actually counseled me on, indicating he used canned notes but did not actually verbalize them to me. When I asked about options to treat readiness on the face, Dr Markus gave me a flyer with cosmetic laser treatment options, upon which he circled the options he recommended. He told me there was a shampoo I could use to treat Tinea at home, but didn't provide the name of the product - I had to ask the front desk to get it from the medical assistant as I was checking out. I picked up a brochure on Tinea and Mohs from the treatment room; Dr Markus did not offer them. Appears this dermatologist is quick to offer treatment options that bring in money (cosmetic), but not as quick to share home treatment options or minor procedures (skin tag removal, milia extraction). Biopsy results I viewed in the patient portal were dated 4/29 (4/24 visit). Dr called me on 5/5 (4 business days later) with a positive result of basal cell cancer. He referred me to a Mohs surgery center for treatment. Dr Markus coached me on screening calls when I picked up on his second call. I will not be returning for any elective cosmetic procedures or further skin checks.
