As a more minimalist bride, hair & makeup make me a bit nervous. My number one goal was to look like me, but enhanced. Tanya and her team were wonderful, and I can't recommend them enough. We had the pleasure of working with Ashley for makeup. She listened when I said I wanted a more "natural" look and went above and beyond to communicate to Tanya's team about my entire bridal vision (including hair). She ensured that I felt comfortable, beautiful, and most importantly, like myself. When I decided not to wear false lashes she fully supported my vision and still made me feel gorgeous for the big day. She also handled everyone in our bridal party (on time I might add!), and they were all stunning! Daniela did my bridal hair and completely helped to create what was in my mind even though I wasn't exactly sure how to explain it. I had a dainty headpiece I wanted to weave in (in addition to a shorter veil), and she created the most romantic soft waves and wove in the hair piece with a half up style that I loved. Can I give her 10 stars?!? Tanya is amazing! I found her based on reviews online and she was also recommended by an acquaintance who had used her in the past. Communication was great and easy from the beginning. She reached out via email and text with pricing options, etc and was quick to answer any questions or concerns I had. She also requested to access my social media pages such as Instagram and Pinterest so she could get some ideas of what I liked. I am from Texas and was traveling to Jackson so communication was very important! She also was very flexible when some issues came up with travel and weather. She was able to work with me to reschedule my trial run AND my hair and makeup for engagement photos which was SO incredibly helpful! I don't know what we would have done if she wasn't so accommodating! I could not have been more happy with my hair and makeup for both engagement photos and for my wedding, but especially for my wedding! Holy cow, y'all! It was just amazing! I was sent Tanya's way for my elopement hair and makeup by my photographer, Erin Wheat. Both Erin and my wedding planner, Ashley Watson ( Wild Rose JH) assured me I was in great hands with Tanya and they were absolutely right!!! Tanya reached out to me via email immediately and set up a profile for me on a website used to organize these types of things. I answered a few questions on her client questionnaire and uploaded a few images of hair inspiration that i find online. She stayed in touch up until my appointment and made sure as many of my questions were answered beforehand. On the day of the appointment I showed her pics of hairstyles I liked and, no problem!, she got down to business curling my hair and whipping it into braids in no time. When we got to the makeup portion, I was a little nervous. I don't usually wear makeup other than mascara and eyeliner...so I told her I just didn't want dark lipstick, but other than that I had no clue what to ask for. Again, no problem. Tanya picked colors that looked great on me. When she spun me around to look in the mirror I was shocked! She's amazingly talented and very very quick. To top it off she's super friendly and sweet. Tanya has done hair and makeup for us several times for different photoshoots and we couldn't be more pleased, which is why we have used her several times! One of my favorite shoots, was a wedding photo shoot we did (I was the model and got to wear my actually wedding dress) and I wish I had known Tanya when I got married, which was 3 years earlier, because I felt prettier the day of the photo shoot where she had done my hair and makeup than I did on my actually wedding day. We tell her what type of look we are going for and she uses her expertise and it always turns out better than what we were hoping for. She is so great and easy to work with. You would want her to be your friend. She is always early or on time when we use her for photoshoots. I think she does a fantastic job. She is very accommodating and her prices are great, especially for Jackson! I couldn't be happier with the services Tanya and her team provided my massive bridal party and me -- on top of being incredibly talented (seriously, the best in the game at both hair and makeup), she's extremely accommodating and pleasurable to work with. Highly recommend! Between family members, bridesmaids and me, there were 22 women who needed hair and makeup services done; with such a large party, we couldn't get ready in Tanya's salon, so she and her team of stylists readily came to us without hesitation. They came prepared and ready to take on a freakin' village of women, whose desired "looks" were all very different, and were efficient (we finished ahead of schedule!) and so good that legitimately all of the women were happy -- something that RARELY happens with a group of bridesmaids. They then accompanied us to our venue, which was 35 minutes outside of town, to provide post-ceremony touch-ups. 5 stars is child's play for this magician. Tanya is THE BOMB. She is friendly, charismatic, easy going and soooooo incredibly talented. I am from MD and we traveled to Jackson for our July 2018 wedding. Tanya and I spoke via web to coordinate working together. I was able to see her in the salon the day before our wedding for my trial. She was so easy to chat with, she has the most lovely space for any person wanting to feel pampered and she did wonderful work. Wedding day she came to our VRBO right on time and we briefly chatted about what changes to make from the trial look. She took my very brief comments and made me look and feel more beautiful than I have felt, maybe ever. There was no shortage of belly laughter, and she totally enhanced my joy by helping set the tone for the rest of what could have been a very stressful day. Really appreciated Tanya's team jumping in to do our wedding when my first stylist was unable to do it. I loved the stylist she sent to work on my hair - she was upbeat, easy to be with, and worked really quickly (at 6am!!) The only thing that I didn't love about this experience is that Tanya and her girls are BUSY and I wasn't sure until the day of our wedding who would be doing my hair. If you are a bride planning to go low-key and not have a giant group of girls, you may find yourself a little in the dark leading up to the event. Tanya was amazing from beginning to end. She was so helpful and willing to answer any and all of my questions. On the day of, the bridal suite was lovely and well stocked with brunch items. Her assistance and on site employee, Nikki, was professional, personable, and kept us all on track and happy.
