I would like to give negative stars if it was possible..... I don't normally rage on social media but if any of you know people that use wheelchair transport here on Oahu, I had the WORST experience with Tan's Transport. I was warned that this company was awful, and I absolutely AGREE!!! First I spent 40 minutes on the phone trying to tell the guy that he was at the wrong address. He was on the correct street, but on the wrong end of it. I told him over and over to put my address in his GPS. He kept going in circles to the SAME, incorrect address (I know because I heard all the directions on the GPS). I kept trying to tell him where to go, but he kept telling me he's supposed to go to the incorrect address. 40 minutes of this! It was like a bad Rap Replinger cheeseburger episode but not at all funny. He finally says he's at a store which is at the opposite end of my complex but I tell him to just stay there and I'll walk over to him because I can't handle any more stupidity. But there was a lot more. He had another wheelchair passenger in the van already. So he moved her to a seat, loaded my son on, locked him in, and folded up her wheelchair and put it behind him. Mind you this is a regular passenger van. I am not sure if they are authorized to transport multiple wheelchair passengers at the same time or what. At this point we are already going to be at least 15 minutes late for our appointment. We get on the freeway and he asks me if he can stop in Waipio first. (We are going from Kapolei to Kapiolani.) I said no, we are already running late, I took off from work to take him to this appointment, and we are not going to miss it. HE THEN COMPLETELY IGNORES ME AND GOES TO WAIPIO ANYWAY. I'm about to lose my #$(^%&&*. Dr.'s office calls and asks how far out we are, I explain that the wheelchair transport was very late and is now taking us somewhere else first, I estimate we will be about 30 minutes late. They said they will let the Dr. know and call back if we need to reschedule. We get dropped off, luckily they can take us, and I ask the guy if he can just wait because it will be fast and considering all the aggravation he put us through I didn't want to be waiting around after for a ride back home. He says sure. No surprise at all, he wasn't there when we came out. A different driver, same company was there, with two other people in the van. He loads up my son, I get in, we head west. Then we get taken through Ewa Beach. These drivers either don't really speak English or pretend they don't. Are we getting abducted at this point? I don't know. He drops these two perfectly healthy looking people off (family? friends?) at a random house and we finally head home. Oh but on the way home I realize HE IS WATCHING TV WHILE DRIVING US!!!! @#$(^$*&@$%@#()@$^*@$%*( Unbelievable. To think they are being paid all day every day to take medically fragile kids, seniors, dialysis patients, etc. to their medical appointments and this is how they operate! We are talking two different drivers. SUPER SHADY COMPANY!!! I can't believe they are in business. read more

Debbie K. My Brother receives rides from Tan's Transport. The Dispatcher is kind and have excellent customer service. He makes sure my Brother is picked up in a timely manner. The Drivers are friendly and kind. They patiently help their patients in whichever way they need help. My Brother likes having conversations with the Drivers. Whenever you or anyone you need rides call Tan's Transport I highly recommend for excellent customer service. read more

Just saw a Transport Van 'Tan's Transport Van drop off an elderly lady. He had to get the wheelchair from the back of van and patient got the van wobbling. I honestly thought she was going to fall. He was not paying attention, he was looking someplace else. OMG!! read more

I don't know much about the service but can you please hire drivers that know how to fricken drive. Not once but twice one of your drivers cut me off. First on the freeway taking the Ewa exit switched out of the turning lane then decided to get back in the lane crossing a solid white line no blinker right in front me causing me to press on my breaks a bit to avoid an accident then proceed to keep braking on the fricken turn bout so I switched lanes when I could but the same fricken driver decided to cut me off again at a damn red light with no blinker again. NO STARS AT ALL!!! Up until my sisters appointment, I have been calling all week to confirm pick up and they don't answer their phones. On the day of pick up, driver was 25 minutes late and never called to let me know he was going to be late. The van he came in sounded like it needed a new exhaust, the car also died while pulling out driveway. The driver did not know how to strap the gurney safely and was not friendly at all. Last night driving and saw a minivan behind me kinda tailgating. As I am driving behind a truck, the minivan driving behind me speeds up and tries to beat us to a light that was like 75ft ahead and was a red light, with no turn signals or anything just switch lanes like a maniac. As I pull up I noticed that this was transportation for the disabled. I hope that no one was getting transported in the van because whoever drives it think its like some race car. I would suggest that you evaluate your drivers or something because i dont wanna see no "transportation van" banzai-ing down the roads. Seeing how horrible the van driver was I had to make a yelp just to review on it, ridiculous that this van was a transportation. read more

The transportation services from this is subpar which directly impacts their services. My mother has used their round trip services 6 times within two weeks. In the brief time, The drivers fail to verify and communicate effectively with their clients and associated medical staff regarding pick up / drop off location and times. One driver was taking her leeward when her destination for her dialysis appointment was on the Windward side so she was late. Another driver picked her up late from her dialysis because he was not at the correct facility . Lastly, her usual driver picked her up 2 hours late after her dialysis without communicating to the dialysis staff about their late arrival time. The facility was starting to close and the staff made multiple attempts to reach out to rehab center (where my mom was residing at ) regarding contacting this transportation company. I myself drove down to the dialysis center. Luckily, one staff member decided to stay behind and wait. When the driver arrived, there was no apology. By then, the staff member provided me contacts of other transport agencies. She informed me that transport companies usually pick up their clients within an hour of actual pick up time and communicate with them about delays. Thus I will be contacting the case manager for a change . read more
