I would give this service ZERO stars if I could. FRIGHTENING, UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR: I was yelled at, berated, and accused of having a bad personality apparently because the driver (Kalua) did not like a conversation he overheard (and was none of his business any way). He is a man strong enough to commit violence, and I was honestly afraid of how far his temper would take him. He did not back off until he overheard that my husband would arrive in three minutes. Details: Queen's hospital arranged this transport. We scrambled to make sure my mom would not have to ride alone in the van back home from her hospital visit. I was talking with my mom and took a phone call during the ride. Apparently, Kalua did not like how that conversation went. When we arrived at my mom's home, he had to come inside to take his wheelchair back with him. Once we were in my mom's home, Kalua yelled at me and told me I was a terrible person for talking that way on the phone. I explained that he had no right to listen in on my private conversation. He then replied it was too loud to ignore, and I explained that my phone is broken and I need to have it on speaker to hear. He then told me that I had a terrible personality and that I was an awful person for not helping my mom out more. He pointed at some bags and said I could lift those. (I have a herniated disc and suffer from sciatica, so I cannot lift things.) Kalua clearly made a lot of snap of judgments about me without knowing any backstory of the phone call, or anything about me, or anything about the enormous amount of energy and time I put into taking care of my mom. None of that is relevant anyway, because what he thinks of me should have absolutely no bearing on the service he provides. We will never, ever have anything to do with this transport business again, obviously. Kalua is unstable and is not in control of his temper: he was abusive, aggressive, unprofessional, and honestly if he had not heard that my husband was on his way, I do not know how I would have been able to get him out the house and would have had to call 911. By the way, Kalua told me three times I did not have to pay for this ride. He also told my husband that same thing very clearly when they saw each other as Kalua was leaving my mom's house. He said this in front of three other people in my mom's house, and one additional person later in the parking lot. Now we are receiving harassing phone calls from Lori that we should pay after all. We found ourselves in a very difficult spot when another shuttle service canceled our reservation 45 minutes before our scheduled pickup time. After calling 5 other shuttle services with no luck, I decided that, despite Yelp having Flash Shuttle Services listed as "closed", I would try calling anyway. Lori answered and was so cheerful and easy to work with. She jumped right on figuring out if they could make a last minute pickup happen for us. She called me back within two minutes and said they would be happy to pick us up. Flash Shuttle arrived very promptly and Kalua jumped right out to take care of our luggage. As Kalua was getting my friend and me to the airport, our husband's were taking back the rental car (being a convertible we couldn't fit our luggage and all four people in). After stopping to fill the tank before returning the car, and shutting off the "push button" start car, they jumped back in to find that the car wouldn't start. They soon discovered that the valet had not returned the electronic key to the car and they would not be able to go anywhere until the key was "reunited" with the car. Kalua from Flash immediately jumped to the rescue AGAIN and drove to the gas station, picked up our husbands and the extra luggage and raced us to the airport, as we were now running late. He then drove back to make sure that Alamo had gotten the keys that the hotel had delivered and the vehicle was being safely delivered to Alamo. Flash and Kalua did all of this without expectation or trying to take advantage of this difficult situation for their gain. What an impressive group of people Flash Shuttle is owned by!!! We had previously scheduled a shuttle with another local company only to find out that they very rudely cancelled on us at the last minute! We were getting a bit concerned with trying to get to the airport to catch our flight on time, however, then my best friend who was traveling with us, came across the listing for Flash Shuttle Services.
