They will discount their discounts…read more I'm still not sure what the *real* prices are. When you have a Kohl's credit card, they send you discounts frequently. Add those to the discounts already in the store and you end up paying very little for most anything. Do I believe that things were quite that expensive to start? Not really. The manufacturer's suggested retail price is rarely what anyone would pay, but it's a starting point. It just seems odd to end up paying about 15 - 20 % of the original price. Their Kohl's brands seem quite good. I have a couple of jackets, dishes, and towels among other things. The Apt. 9 towels are amazing. We got a discount on those, too. If there was one complaint, it was from my mum. The plus sizes were the furthest away. She may have needed some exercise but at 70+ years old, maybe it wasn't the best plan to hide them. When we got there, she usually couldn't find what she wanted, but then, Kohl's is for the the young and thin, right? I'm always amused when the canned announcement calls for cashiers at the men's clothing registers since the store in Richmond is much smaller than most and they really only have one entrance, though it has two sets of doors. The entrance by the women's clothing is the same one that's by the men's clothing. It's good that they're in Richmond and care so much about doing business here. When they started in the Orlando area, they had an uphill battle with so many stores like Beall's (and SteinMart) already entrenched. I hope they continue to do well and keep their customers smiling. I have a complaint about returns. The other day, I bought a sweatshirt and some gloves, etc. that came to over $50 and I got $10 Kohl's cash. The sizes were larger than expected and I needed to return both pairs of gloves and the sweatshirt. One of the three replacement items I got had a higher price. Since the price did not match, I no longer qualified for the Kohl's cash, even though I spent more. Another customer and I were discussing this, and I said that the people in the stores have no control over the corporate policies--even though I wasn't happy about the situation, I understood. The service desk employee found another way to handle it by combining the two purchases, she validated a new $10 certificate. Problem solved.

While waiting in line, I was witness to an older lady being very agressive and hostile to another…read moreyounger, maybe new coworker about grabbing the wrong printer. The girl was obviously struggling and instead of teaching her the older lady raised her voice and told her she can't use that printer and that it was the wrong one, the girl calmly replied where she got it from and the older lady looked at her for a moment and continued to be agressive and rude stating she had to use her own printer (or something along those lines.) The line was busy enough that the other costumer getting checked out by the young girl told her she was doing a great job and some people should just be nicer to their coworkers and I totally agree. If this is what your employee treats others like in front of costumer I can't imagine what she does when no one's around. Coming from another retail associate I know what being looked down upon feels like just because older people think they have more authority than you and it's sad to see. Hopefully next time you can teach your employees to treat their coworkers with respect and uplift eachother instead of putting eachother down. I didn't see their name tags (the older lady's was flipped around) but I just want to give props to the young girl for handling the situation very maturely even though she looked flustered she did not give a reaction back and continuing to do her job.
