My Food: Enchiladas, Beans and The Rice missed the mark completely. My Sons Food: Carnitas was tough and unflavorful. The beans were overly lard heavy and the rice was crunchy. Service: Satasfactory "C" Ambiance: Clean but nothing special. There were 4 servers just standing around a table chatting. I was greeted by a young man with a big smile, he was friendly despite being the only person there and he has a busted hand that was obviously bothering him. I read the sign and took a seat, it was going to take some time to get my Gyro and fries and that was fine. I know the kid was struggling as it was taking way longer than I remember. Another person showed up and she finished my order. My gyro was not what I had in the past. The meat was chopped up into tiny tiny pieces, not the large thin strips of tasty meat I expected and the grease was overpowering making it barely edible. The tomato and onions were fresh and the feta was good, but dang was I disappointed. The fries were delicious like they usually are. I guess being short handed hurt my experience ? I will try Nick's again.

One kid ordered salmon and liked it so much she ate half of my salmon portion. Overall portions are on the smaller side except for the fried rice that was a generous portion. Unfortunately we didn't really like the fried rice. It was more of a Chinese fried rice than Japanese fried rice. The veggies included were very flavorful and I ate my kids portion and my own. The hibachi dinners did not include soup or salad that is included in most hibachi dinners at other Japanese restaurants. The Golden Mango and Ocean roll sushi we ordered was good and I would order them again. Overall service was good. Ambiance was nice too.

La Casa is in the old part of town and the parking on the street was convienent. It was very clear that this was a family run place, there were a few kids running around. I asked the nice lady who sat me if Carnitas were an option. When she returned she said that Yes, I could order Carnitas. It did not take long at all for my food to arrive. The plate was HOT. The drink selection was slim and I asked for Ice tea. The tea was watered down and didn't taste good at all. The pork was ok, fatty and kind of dry and tough. The rice and beans were hot, but bland. The tortillas were absolutely delicious and the service was good. I really like to support small family run businesses and will continue to do so. I may just skip this one the next time I'm in town.
