Wonderful family restaurant with friendly service. A casual spot where you can expand your culinary horizons and have a fun meal with friends. Recommend the empanadas, beef, and chicken dishes. Support your local non chain destinations.

Golden and crispy on the outside, soft, warm and delicious on the inside!! The best empanadas I have ever had! My favorite is the beef and raisin, honestly I could eat any one of their amazingly filled empanadas anytime! The spicy chicken, original beef, the creamy corn and more!!! My husband loves the ham, cheese and pineapple! The family love and kindness is so welcoming we feel like we're at home every time we come in! It's such a special place throughout!

I absolutely adore this restaurant! The food is so good and the drinks are amazing! Both my husband and I can eat whatever we want and we always get extra to take home! Not only are they amazing fresh but they are just as good cold the following day out of the fridge. The service makes it feel like a home, family restaurant, and the hospitality that they have invited you into their home. So many touches of Argentina from flags to local sports heroes to fun grocery items that are fun to try. I really enjoy this hidden gem.

The best best ever. Empanadas food dessert and coffee all perfect. Stella was amazing. Service spectacular and wonderful. Ambiance with music and photos from Argentina.

This place is absolutely amazing. Situated in a strip mall and from the outside it doesn't look like much. But on the inside they are serving up the stuff of your empanada dreams. Packed with flavor, fried to a crispy perfection. So good. Order at the counter and wait for your food to be cooked up fresh. A few tables inside for munching or take your food to go. Excellent variety of fried empanadas so there's something to suit anyone. Some desert items and a few other things like jars of chimichurri that you can pick up as well. These empanadas are so good that I'm getting emotional just typing this right now. When the lady at the counter handed me mine and I saw them, I reflexively reached across the counter and hugged her. I can't even explain myself. The world would be a better place if we could all just have empanadas like these whenever and wherever we want. Don't second guess it. Go here and see for yourself.

Never disappoints!!! Excellent authentic food and incredible service!!! A rare jewel in the city! Worth the 45 min drive from our side of town!!!!

6 different empanadas Saffron rice Red sangria Gardel cocktail

Stumbled on this little gem after a Costco run in St. Pete. My husband and I LOVE empanadas, and have yet to find a good Argentinian restaurant in the general STL region. We tried 6 different empanadas, 2 cocktails, and the saffron rice. The only one we weren't crazy about was the ham/cheese/pineapple combo, but probably because it was the most Americanized tasting one to us. We even ended up ordering a jar of their mild chimichurri to go because it was so delicious. The empanadas are also imprinted with which type of filling they have, making it super easy to split and share them. The cocktails were both light and refreshing, and made with their own dehydrated fruit. Service was quick, friendly, genuine and sincere. We will be back.

First time here! Always see Hector at Tower Grove Park fests! I love the variety in store, so many different empanadas to try! We were greeted right away with a friendly face. Excellent service and very clean place. The dessert menu is very neat as well. We will be back!

Had read about Tango and I like empanadas so I knew I'd have to make a trip over. I sat inside at the bar. I ordered a basket of 3 - creamy corn, spicy beef and spicy chicken. I really thought spicy beef would be my favorite but I didn't love the green olive in the mix... The spicy chicken however was AMAZING! The employee who helped me was very friendly and took the time to tell me a bit about the origin of the restuarant and how the empanadas are made and I enjoyed that. This is a family owned business and it was all family there helping. Stop in and get some empanadas here or take a dozen to go for your next potluck.

I got Tango via Uber Eats! Wow! I've never had empanadas with such a delicate and airy shell, but still crunchy. I love it! Empanadas I had previously at other places were thick and more shell than stuffing. However, Tango's Empanada's were fully packed inside, tender, and flavorful. I ordered the: Mild Chicken Mild Meat Spinach Ham and Pineapple Creamy Corn All were delicious in their own way, but my favorite was the chicken!

Cute, cozy dine in cafe. So many empanadas to chose from, but every single one I tried was great! I tried the steak, tuna and chicken/ham/pineapple (my favorite). I also ordered the ginger punch?/tea?, very refreshing! The waitress was kind and explained how to tell the difference between empanadas (there's a chart and the empanadas are labeled). They brought us a quick cracker snack before our meal, and a few pieces of candy afterwards. Will definitely return!

If you have specific spices for teas like I do, check out the wall of bag spices AND the selection of plastic containers (in another aisle). I feel bad for writing this because such a large store and the amount of work the employees spend on keeping it organized was impressive. Asking them to reorganize maybe the most "gringo" thing I could do, but I had to ask a customer and her daughter? tried to find the specific spice...they had to ask a worker that took me to the plastic container aisle. BUT- the major thing is that El Morelia offered the spice. Plus others that I wanted try! My other mistake was not visiting during the week and eating at the in store restaurant. On Saturday my bill was almost restaurant prices from a few years ago. During the week prices are more reasonable. The toppings bar completely changes the taste combination and value. Definitely "as-good-as-it-gets"! The employees were restocking bread container with fresh loaves with a sign stating "3 loaves for $2"... I grabbed 3 and just ate one- phenomenal! Not sure if it is sourdough, but it is definitely fresh and delicious! Mexican sodas variety would make Sam's Club jealous. Far more grocery selection than I ever imagined. The store is an old warehouse, but it is clean and well-stocked.

Our table of eight had a variety of meals. Some started with the beef empanadas as their starter. We had the Chicha Morada - a traditional Peruvian beverage made from dried purple corn (maíz morado), pineapple, apples, cinnamon, and cloves, often sweetened with sugar and brightened with lime juice. This unique sweet, fruity, and spiced flavor, is a staple in Peru. I had the Arroz con Mariscos: Peruvian style rice paella; creamy yellow pepper sauce mixed with shrimp, calamari, scallops, mussels, red peppers and aromatic cilantro. A flavor party in your mouth! Plenty for two people or to share if you do family style. I also had a side of Yuca fries - definitely get the yuca fries! The arroz con mariscos is part of the Trio Marino: Sampler plate of Arroz con Mariscos Ceviche de Pescado and Chicharrón de Pescado. The Ceviche is mouth watering good. Our "no seafood" family member even likes it - that says a lot. We also had Arroz con Pollo: Tender chicken simmered with fragrant cilantro-infused rice, peas, carrots and spices. Served with salsa criollo. And a Ceviche Traditional: Mahi Mahi marinated in lime juice, spicy peppers and fresh cilantro, served w red onions/corn/sweet potato plate. Flavor is definitely infused throughout all the food. Other plates (not pictured) were Lomo Saltado, Arroz Chaufa, and Aji de Gallina. There were no complaints from anyone at the table. Though some did comment that though their food was good, they would probably order something different next time. It never hurts to explore a menu to the fullest! We had a large party, did make a reservation to be safe. There was plenty of seating, though it was a little crowded at lunch time - when we were there.

I know it's hard to compare restaurant food to home-cooked meals, and I wasn't expecting to be wowed. "Mid" would've been fine, but unfortunately, this fell below that for us. We ordered the menudo, chicken adobo, bangus, and lechon. Both the menudo and chicken adobo were noticeably sweet and not in a subtle way. The bangus only came as half with the combo (I'm not sure if that's standard), which was a bit disappointing since I'm used to getting a whole bangus. The lechon had a slightly off taste possibly from the oil used. I ended up cutting it up and putting it in the air fryer, which helped a bit, especially with Mang Tomas. My kids were excited for the ube bread, but there was barely any ube. Thankfully, I had ube jam at home to add more. That said, I'm still glad this restaurant is here representing the Filipino community. It's wonderful that they host gatherings and bring people together. I do think there's room for improvement, especially when it comes to showcasing Filipino food well for those who may be trying it for the first time.
