Note: This review is on everything but food as we never ordered any food here. Strictly to hang out with a few drinks. Ambiance: Pretty cozy like environment. Not too loud not much going on. Then again, it was a late Sunday night. Service: Our waitress was amazing. Came to check on us a thousand times and making jokes. She gave us a pub mix to snack on with our drinks that were on the house. Which is cool. Drinks: Pretty costly but they put a descent amount of alcohol in it and for it being super convenient as it was literally on hotel grounds so no one has to worry about drinking and driving, i guess it makes up for it. Best part is, you can buy ur drink and bring it back to your hotel room which was a real plus. Downfall was our lemondrop drinks tasted more like margarita. The mai tai wasn't too bad though but could be better Will totally come back IF i ever stay at this hotel again which I'm not too sure about. And thats another review.

Zach was an excellent bartender and was willing to make anything we wanted. Made our visit very pleasurable. Rachael was a hoot, loved her energy, she was very entertaining. And David the manager made us feel welcomed and was very helpful in making reservations for us! We look forward to returning for our next getaway!

The drinks, service, and atmosphere at Tangier Bar was really nice. It was a relaxing and calm place (at least in the late afternoon). They also have live music some evenings and probably could get quite exciting.

We came in right after checking in late to the hotel. Though service was a bit slow (she was the only one serving 4 tables and it was the end of the night), the waitress was very nice. Food was not so fabulous. We ordered the Fish Tacos, Warm Crab & Artichoke Dip and BLT&T. The fish tacos were tasty though my friend thought the fish itself smelled funky and possibly spoiled. The warm crab & artichoke dip was hot but too cheesy for my taste. Not very much artichoke was apparent and they used artificial crab. Which isn't bad, just too much of the dip would make me sick. The BLT&T was not warm though it was clearly grilled with a panini press. The bacon inside the sandwich was extremely hard and dried out. I thought it was edible.

Great food, service, and beer. Came right before happy hour. The sever was very nice and he was a great multitasks.

Drink prices are not bad for a "resort hotel" - $8.75 for Ketel. The food is decent. The mini sliders are good. The fried basket is also good, but they give you some weird, cold marinara. What happened to the ketchup? The fish tacos were disappointing. They use napa cabbage which gets soggy and there was no hot sauce.

Steve has a 5 Star Cosmo! Nice afternoon! He is attentive and sweet! I love when your bartender makes you feel like a winner when you are a loner, not a loser!

PACIFIC SHORES @ OCEAN BEACH…read more Parking is available on the street, and it's free! We ended up coming to Pacific Shores because one of my best friend's mom was there with her girlfriends. When we arrived, there was no line at all. Security was really nice, and we got in easily. There weren't many people inside around 10 PM, and I definitely feel like this bar is more of a "grab a drink, sit with your friends, and chat" type of spot. It's not a club or a dancing bar. We ordered a round of shots and a mixed tequila drink. It wasn't strong at all, but it was really delicious, and I genuinely enjoyed it. The server was also super nice, especially since our friend's mom kept ordering drinks and shots. He brought everything out quickly and with great service. I really loved the architecture and ambiance. It had a darker, cozy vibe, very much a small, deep-bar aesthetic. They also had some really cool paintings, and if you were wearing white or yellow, your clothes would glow in the dark, which was a fun touch. It wasn't super busy, and I appreciated how easy it was to find seating and just relax. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest, but it was still manageable. Overall, I'd definitely check out this spot if you're walking around Ocean Beach and want a chill place to grab a drink and hang out with friends.

The bar was not really our vibe (it was very loud with minimal tiki theming and zero tiki music - the only thing that was truly tiki was the menu) but the staff and the large and interesting menu made up for it. We had a phenomenal time both nights talking drinks and ingredients with the bartenders and were so excited to come back. We came back yesterday when the bar opened at 5, hoping to have a quieter experience and the opportunity to talk with the bartenders again. Instead, the music was already blasting and they were in the middle of hosting a loud, drunk party. No worries, we were going to soldier through to have the Pandan Colada and explore the menu some more, until.... Horrors! We opened the menu. The drink list was now half the size. THERE IS NO MORE PANDAN COLADA. I saw some drinks that maybe might have been interesting, but it was not worth tolerating the late night drunken dance club vibes at 5pm to find out. There were no more banana drinks. It doesn't seem like any drinks now get lit on fire, which I admit is important to me. This place instantly went from one of our most important San Diego spots to visit to one not worth spending time in at all. We went next door to Captain's Quarters where we learned there's been a management change. So the Pandan Colada and multiple banana drinks on the menu are gone, as is our interest in ever returning. I wish all the best to the bartenders, who seemed to really care about what they were making, and I'd like to extend two middle fingers to the new management for breaking our Girl Drink Drunk hearts.

As the night drew on it got cooler inside but just be aware. The decor is adorable and the DJ was super fun. Our waitress said most of their serving dishes and glasses are antiques that the owner has collected. Love that. We ordered a glass of Gamay (because it was served cold) and beer to start. We ended up getting a bottle of the Lester Pinot Noir also because it was cold. They will let you taste any wines even before you order a full glass and that's super awesome. Note they only have beer and wine. The food was good and as everyone else has said, the portions are small. We started with the pastrami gougeres which was definitely my favorite thing that we ordered. Very, very good and not nearly as heavy as I thought they would be. I was afraid to order them because I didn't know if they'd be super filling (they are just the right amount). The summer tomato salad had an amazing ginger dressing and I thought was a pretty decent size for a small plate. The salad changes and uses seasonal ingredients. The peach was great with the tomatoes though I wish the peach had been a little more ripe. The bbq potatoes were great, my boyfriend liked those the most. And we ended with the scallops which were good but only two pieces. Definitely ask for a spoon if you get the scallops so you can make sure and get all the sauce. Overall, it's a very cute spot. Not sure if we'll go back only because it is pretty costly for the amount of food you get. But I do recommend it.

Instead of checking on my well-being or ensuring the aggressor had left the premises, security targeted and chased me as if I were the problem. It is incredibly disappointing and dangerous for a business's security team to lack the basic situational awareness and training required to identify the actual victim in a situation.
