Linda absolutely made my wedding dress dreams come true!…read more I had a bit of a challenge when it came to buying a wedding dress. When I finally found "the one" it was at the absolute top of my budget and still needed number of alterations to make it my dream dress. Ling story short I was able to find the dress for much less than at the store but between the original size of the gown and losing more weight for the wedding than I originally planned, I ended up with a dress that was easily 4 sizes too big and still needed work to to change some of the dress to the ideal state. Linda made it all happen!!! From making it fit like a dream to lining it just the way I asked to bustling it and my veil to perfection, she did it ALL. My gown was PERFECT and I wouldn't have changed a single thing- all because Linda is a magician!!! She is also kind, thoughtful, flexible and detail oriented. I couldn't recommend Linda more for anyone looking for alterations. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART FOR MAKING MY DREAM DRESS A REALITY!!!!

Little did she know I am a wealthy individual which is why I wanted her to make me something custom. She's much too busy with family to be concerned with her business. If I want something made I'd have to wait years cause she's backed up and waiting for her husband to return. Is she running a business or a family nursery? Luckily for me I found a professional tailor who was more than willing and happy to sew my coat. She lost a potential customer not to mention that I have friends and word of mouth is so powerful. Unfortunately I don't recommend you wasting your time dealing with her. She wasted my time asking me to forward her photos of what I wanted done only to get rejected out the gate. It's a hard no from me folks!

It was both too much fabric, and weird pulling on the center seam. Came here to get a dress altered and overall the actual alteration work was done well. I needed the…read moredress taken in slightly around the bust and waist area and it cost me $90. The dress fit perfectly afterward and they completed it within a week, earlier than the pickup date I had asked for. The main issue for me was the organization during pickup. I received a text saying my dress was ready, but when I arrived they brought out a completely different piece of clothing even after I clearly described my dress. Turns out they had mixed up the name tags between my dress and someone else's. I ended up going to the back with them and immediately spotted my dress myself. I pointed it out and they asked if I was sure it was mine, which was a little strange. Then they asked me to try it on. At first I thought they just wanted to confirm the alterations looked right, but it turned out they wanted to see if it fit me to determine whether it was actually my dress. Thankfully it fit like a glove. Even after that, they still seemed unsure so I showed Yelp messages I had previously sent with photos of the dress, along with my receipt and even how much I paid. I usually throw receipts away, so thank goodness I still had it. After confirming in multiple different ways, they finally let me take my dress home. Another woman was also there picking up clothing after receiving a text notification and they were struggling to locate her item too, so it didn't seem like an isolated issue. Overall, I think the tailoring work itself is solid, but the shop felt pretty disorganized. The guy working there did apologize before I left, which I appreciated, but the whole process of having to repeatedly prove the dress was mine was definitely frustrating.

I usually go with the flow when alterations are not ready on the date promised and when pricing is on the high end. But it seems just wrong to take advantage of the very customers who patronize you when it's just as easy to do the work themselves. So, as for why I didn't just do it myself when I made others. I've been every deliberate about supporting small local businesses during the quarantine largely because I believe those interactions will help the businesses cover expenses and stay open. I bought fabric to make washable masks for female loved ones who are first responders (pharmacy, medical, supply chain, etc) thinking they'd appreciate a specialty facial covering to wear in their off days once some restrictions are limited --- knowing we'll be wearing these for a while. After learning Maria was open for business and making masks, I decided to give her the business instead. During my visit, she showed me several reversible washable styles she sells for $8. I bought two. After buying 2 @ $8, I mentally prepared to pay something close (or less) to that because she would supply fabric for the back and ear straps. The ones I bought from her for $8 and reversible. Timing was reasonable--- a week to make 16 adult masks and 2 kids. When I returned to pick them up, I was pleased with how they turned out but was shocked by the price! I was charged $10 per mask for a one sided mask. I pointed out the price was higher than what I was charged when she provided fabric. Despite feeling gouged, I paid it not because I wanted to believe she must have needed the $ enough to essentially overcharge a repeat consumer. While the one bad experience will not erase better experiences and quality, I have no plans to bring more work I can do myself or seek anything else without getting the price upfront.
