1 Star - Very Disappointing Experience…read more My wife had an 8:45 a.m. appointment specifically for a fasting blood draw. She took time off work and arrived fasting as instructed. Dr. Huang's assistant attempted to draw her blood four or five times but was unsuccessful, leaving multiple needle marks and bruising on both arms. My wife was actually very understanding and did not blame the assistant -- she understands that less experienced staff need opportunities to learn. She then asked if Dr. Huang could help with the blood draw. She waited until Dr. Huang finished with her patient, and at that point her next patient had not yet arrived. However, after hearing what had happened, Dr. Huang simply said she had other patients and did not have time, and told my wife to go to Quest instead. We found her response and attitude extremely dismissive and unprofessional. My wife had a scheduled appointment, had taken time off work, had been fasting, and had already gone through multiple unsuccessful needle sticks. She wasn't asking for special treatment -- she was simply asking the office to complete the service she had scheduled. She then drove to Quest, only to find that they were not accepting walk-ins and the wait would have been hours. In the end, she couldn't even complete her blood test that day. We understand that difficult blood draws happen. Our complaint is not about the unsuccessful blood draw -- it is about how Dr. Huang handled the situation afterward. We expected much more compassion, professionalism, and consideration from a physician. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we cannot recommend this office.

Dear [Clinic Manager/Dr. Zhen],…read more I am writing to formally express my concern regarding the repeated issues my brother has experienced at your office. I had hoped not to raise past problems, but the most recent situation requires attention. About a month ago, my brother saw Dr. Zhen for post-stroke treatment. She ordered blood work, prescribed medication, and scheduled a follow-up for September 18. The medication was not sent to the pharmacy until two weeks later after some calls. On September 18, when my brother arrived for the scheduled appointment, he was told no appointment existed. I then called and spoke with Crystal, who initially said no appointment was available for two weeks. After further discussion, she offered an appointment for September 19 at 4:45 p.m. I thanked her for her assistance. On September 19, at 4:00 p.m., we received a call stating we had "missed" a 3:45 p.m. appointment. This directly contradicts what Crystal told me the day before. If this was entered incorrectly by mistake, it shows serious carelessness; if it was done deliberately, it is extremely concerning and unprofessional. These repeated errors cause unnecessary stress and delay my brother's needed care. I respectfully request: A prompt rescheduling of his appointment with Dr. Zhen. Clarification of how this miscommunication happened. Assurance that steps will be taken so such scheduling errors do not happen again. My brother is recovering from a stroke, and his treatment requires reliability and accuracy. I trust you will treat this matter with urgency.

In any case, I've always been able to get a fairly soon appointment whenever I needed, and prescriptions for my meds. Dr. Hui Zheng has always been helpful with my questions about my personal health and maladies from asthma to hay fever, from high cholesterol to enlarged prostate. Whenever I don't have Kaiser HMO and have to choose a PPO (based on employer options), I have chosen Dr. "Kasey" Zheng--she's terrific!

While getting the initial diagnosis and support from Dr. Dressler was difficult, she has now become a partner and ally in my medical care. She did not have much guidance for me at first, but as I became proactive in my health care she has done everything she can to answer questions and provide for my medical needs. She is prompt in putting in prescriptions and referrals, as well as returning correspondence through Sutter Health's My Health Online. This makes my life so much easier to not have to waste time bouncing between doctors, pharmacies, and my insurance just to accomplish something simple for my medical well-being. Recently, she even did research and referenced medical journals for recommendations about my health. She kept tabs on me during a recent hospitalization. She even looked into additional programs offered through PAMF to see if I was a candidate who may benefit from such programs. Dr. Dressler ensures that the lines of communication remain open between her and her patients. Overall, Dr. Dressler is prompt and courteous. She listens and addresses your concerns as best as she can. She values your time without rushing you out to get to another patient. She does her best to provide helpful information, prescriptions, and referrals.
