Really good tamales. Service was really quick and friendly. I plan on going back to try some of their other options.

This hole in the way (literally a stand on a sprig) spot was packed with locals & cars eating delicious homemade tamales. Walk up order your food and eat in your car. Inexpensive and delicious!

Hot Tamale Trail - Stop #3/12 Tamales - (5 star) Moist, spicy but not too hot. More meat to masa ratio. Wrapped in corn husk. Yes, I would keep getting these Tamales! Tamale Supreme - (5 star) I liked this even better than the tamales. More meat to masa ratio. Good onion and jalapeño, in the cheese sauce. When the tamales are sold out.... they CLOSE!

Absolutely trash.

This is by far the worst tamale that I have ever eaten. If the Mexicans ever find out that you are desiccating their food like this. They may burn this place to the ground. My recommendation is to fly to Oxnard Ca and find a very nice migrant worker with their trunk open and see what a real tamale taste, looks and smells like. Please god stop peddling ground beef in taco seasoning as tamales. PLEASE!!!!

Nasty ass tamales. $13 a dozen.

This was our first stop on our road trip to Savannah. We got a dozen tamales They were the absolute worst we have ever had. One bite by each of us and neither could even swallow it. We couldn't figure out where the funky taste was coming from, meat or masa. But that doesn't really matter. Bad is bad whatever the reason. A total waste of money. How this place has a 4.5 rating is beyond me. Definitely do not recommend.

Half dozen!

Always excellent tamales. Nothing can compare. We live in TX now but always get a few frozen dozens to bring back to Dallas.

Yup, great tamales. Not the biggest tamales, but what's missing in size is abundant in flavor.

Dangerous Foreign Object Found in Food - Major Safety Concern…read more The Incident: Visited on December 21, 2024. Received the wrong order initially, which should have been my first warning sign. I drove home, and the order was missing three tacos. The person at the front told me everything was in the bag. So, the manager was friendly enough to give me a complimentary tea, but when I got home, I might have needed a free tooth. When I got what was supposedly my correct order and started eating, I bit down on a hard foreign object in the food. What Happened: The object was dark, complex, and definitely did not belong in food I have clear photos and kept the object as evidence. Fortunately, I didn't bite down with full force, or I would likely have dental injuries. This could have been a choking hazard or caused broken teeth. The Bottom Line: This isn't just "bad customer service" - this is a potential health hazard. Foreign objects in food can cause broken teeth, cuts and lacerations, choking, and internal injuries. Quality control failures this serious are unacceptable. I'm sharing this review so others can make informed decisions about eating here.

I expected a sit-down restaurant but it's an order-at-the-counter and they call out your order when it's ready. Need a number system for calling out the order. It was not busy inside and the drive through maintained a fairly steady flow of customers. Decore is nicely done. I got the nachoes platter and didn't care for the liquid cheese or lack of meat-although it had lots of beans.

There are not a lot of Yelpers in Vicksburg but Rusty's had some great reviews so we decide to try it. Nice location near the river and plenty of street parking. We were seated quickly after our full party arrived. There is nothing fancy about this place but clean and simple. When you walk in you see the desserts in the cooler in the front and they all look delicious and homemade. We saw some dinner rolls being brought to the table but we were not offered any so we asked and they are free. So make sure to ask. They are yummy little yeast rolls with some sweet (maybe honey) butter. I tried a Bahama mama that was tasty and we liked the fried calamari (7/10). This place is a mostly seafood restaurant with a few good options if you don't or can't eat seafood. We had two in our party that does not eat seafood and they enjoyed the blacked chicken. The mozzarella sticks were also tasty. The start of the dinner was the Redfish with the craw fish cream sauce. DE-licious!! I enjoyed the seafood pasta. It's a lemon butter sauce not creamy but I liked it! It came with a side so I tried a cup of gumbo for $3 up-charge. It was worth it. Very good gumbo with sausage, shrimp, scallops, and an oyster! Looking forward to going back!

So we booked a spot at a local hotel and they recommended Rusty's because 'it's by the river.' Although it is near the river, you cannot SEE the river. So...whatever. They were super friendly, very welcoming. The place is, essentially, a pub or sportsbar feel. We were hungry, but not starving and wanted to order light, but were excited by the new (to us) items on the menu...we're from the Pacific Northwest so the type of seafood they have here at Rusty's is not the usual. We got the fried green tomato appetizer, then the wedge salad and shrimp and grits. So- one app, a salad and one entree. The portions were HUGE. Like, way too much for us. We loved the sweet tea. The green tomatoes were great. Lump crab and hollandaise...tasty, if maybe a little over-sauced. The wedge salad was drowning in dressing. It tasted great, but way too much. Shrimp and grits: delicious, but we ended up taking most of it to-go because we were so full from everything else. The shrimp and grits also came with onion rings- which went straight into the doggie bag. Just so much food. I appreciate that they're trying to make sure that we're well fed, I really do...but damn. I want to taste everything...please, smaller portions! Or maybe a tasting menu? We wanted dessert badly but had no room for it at all.
