Reliant Construction: The Remodel Masters!…read more I can't recommend Reliant Construction highly enough! They've helped us transform our San Jose home with three major projects in the last 3 years. Right after we bought our house, Chris and his team revamped our entire electrical system (LED update), plumbing (update to copper pipes) and gave the house an entire fresh paint job. It's been over 4 years since then and everything still feels modern, efficient, and safe. Later on, we called Chris again when we wanted to upgrade our two bathrooms, it was a complex build, including structural updates as we discovered some of the floor joists were rotted. They handled it flawlessly and our second bathroom remodel was just as impressive. The quality of finishes are simply stunning, also heated floors :) Finally, Reliant also updated our backyard deck, which involved removing the really old wood flooring and updating it with composite decking boards and electrical. The team led by Chris, are true professionals. They're reliable, deliver the job on time and on budget and communicate clearly. Each worker is an expert on his field and their craftsmanship is exceptional, they take real pride in their work, and it shows. If you're planning a remodel in San Jose, look no further than Reliant Construction!

Unfortunately our first go at it did not end well the person we hired did not do a good job and our shower leaked and was unusable. Luckily we found Chris and his team who saved the day for us. During our consultation we explained to him what was going on and showed him the leak. He provided us with several options and in the end we decided to just overhaul the master bathroom again. Chris and team were able to help us replace the tile throughout, glass doors, get a custom vanity, new lighting, and of course our fancy new toilet. Luckily we also received help from his team in helping us with another issue we had from a previous renovation to our half bath as well. Reliant Construction was not only friendly and clean, but they provided excellent work. I definitely consider Reliant Construction a repeat offender as we are hoping to use them again to renovate another bathroom in our home. Thank you again Chris and team!

After we went through what I would like to do with our house and about he pricing (provided a quote 2 days later), which I found it's cheaper than most contractors (2 other companies) who quote it me. Everything he told me was upfront about he cost could incur more when the demolition is done. He was right! For our current home, this was a true top-to-bottom renovation--interior and exterior painting, new flooring, a full kitchen remodel, powder room, master bathroom, stairs, pantry, wine cellar, outdoor kitchen, and more. The transformation has been incredible. Aaron, the owner, is extremely thorough, responsive, and hands-on. He answers questions quickly and clearly, and regularly comes by to check on progress and make sure everything is done right. His attention to detail really shows in the final result. He also does a great job balancing quality and cost--bringing in strong subcontractors while being mindful of pricing. His team is friendly, hardworking, and dependable, and they genuinely care about the work they do. Even after completing these large projects, CDI Construction continues to help us with smaller home improvements, which says a lot about their commitment. He took care of the whole process with minimal management on our part. Needless to say, we did not go with him to do our remodel. He did apologize profusely and offered to pay for new plans drawn up. And we were leaning towards another contractor anyways since we thought he dissappeared on us so weren't going to hire him anyways. So no huge harm. But just wanted to share the small experience.

Everyone knows how much work it is to remodel a home. I know I dreaded the experience, especially…read moreafter hearing so many nightmare stories about projects gone wrong and conflicts with contractors. But remodeling, I have come to learn, is like marriage - it will take a lot of work, but who you work with will make all the difference. Working on our large remodeling project with Bridgford turned out to be one of the best decisions we have ever made. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect team even if I could have created them out of thin air. Every single person - Chris Bridgford, Alejandro, Stephanie Walker (hands down the best ever!!), Jr, and even the contractors Bridgford carefully vetted and worked with - was absolutely amazing. Their attentiveness, commitment to quality, and incredible patience made the entire process unbelievably smooth and easy to go through. Chris was a true perfectionist in the best way possible; he took pride in getting every detail - big or small - absolutely right and I couldn't have possibly asked for more. Stephanie was an angel sent from heaven - listening, guiding, and empathizing with me through ever step of the process and so warmly and gently walking me through a hundred thousand details. The way she thought through every small detail, it was as if she were imagining living in the home herself and helping me think about all the small but important things that I sure would have missed on my own. Every nook and crevice, from curvature of a door knob to lines and texture of the cabinet and everything in between, reminds me of just how much thought and care she put into this house and our home would not have been nowhere what it is without her help. Unlike some contractors who push their own ideas or leave you to figure things out, Bridgford genuinely listened. They welcomed all my thoughts and hopes without judgment and offered thoughtful guidance whenever I needed it. They were considerate about the costs, too, always finding ways to get what we wanted, but without ever compromising on quality. Our project took a little over two years, and not once did they fall short of my (very high) expectations or make me feel alone in the process. Even when the stress of remodeling got to me, the team's calmness was like an anchor. They never rushed, never got flustered, and somehow helped me become calm and feel under control again, too. I absolutely hate having anyone mess with my stuff, but with Bridgford, I always knew I could trust them - not just to do the job right, but to care about our home, truly and sincerely, as if it were their own. It's now been almost two and a half years since we moved back into our newly remodeled home and we still love it every single day. The craftsmanship, care, and beauty of the space are exactly what we dreamed of and I still marvel at all the work that went into making it what it is now. Remodeling is hard work, no denying it, but if I ever had to do it again, I wouldn't hesitate for even a second to work with Bridgford again. Words cannot express how much I appreciate them and the wonderful experience working with them. Thank you so much, Bridgford team!!

We didn't need such an extensive makeover so we were concerned that Chris wouldn't want to take our project. We thought our house was in pretty good shape overall, but as we started fixing things, we found some funk that had to corrected or updated to code. Chris and his team took it all in stride and didn't mind that we kept adding on things here and there. He would come on site regularly to make sure his team was delivering what he promised and doing quality work. He would also check on the subcontractors' work to make sure we were happy. The best thing about Chris is his vision and good taste. He recommended some things that we hadn't thought of (that either cost the same/not much more) that turned out really great and made a huge difference.
