I've taken all five of my children here for the last 25+ years, I have spent thousands and…read morethousands of dollars between dental care and braces for each child (even two sets, for two of my children) only to have their team give my youngest child fluoride against my will on my last visit. When I asked what it was what they gave to my child the hygienist acted like it wasn't a big deal, then the doctor treated me horribly, acting like I was some crazed lunatic for asking for my child not to receive it, instead of acknowledging what they had done. They did offer to not have to pay for the fluoride, as if that was the issue. I do not recommend and would NEVER go back due to the lack of accountability and terrible treatment by the doctor.

When I asked their answer was that it is just routine practice, and if I go against their routine practice( not let them do what they want) I should go some place else; however, this unnecessary radiation exposure to my children and Bluffdale Dental routine practice should had been explained to us before it was done to my children and not after the fact. I also asked how often children gets panoramic x-ray the doctor said about every 5 years ( assistant said every 3 to 5 years) then I asked if they had requested dental records to see last time it was done since my children are new to them( their first visit) they said NO! this is so unacceptable! what if the other dentist got this done recently; Bluffdale dental did not care enough to know this information to protect my children against unnecessary radiation exposure which can be harmful to their health. Not a sincere apology or any effort to understand the client's point of view. I am devastated. As far as the visit went my children were very impressed with how well the staff treated them.

When I showed up to my appointment I was met by Dr. Proctor who was apparently a few years out of dental school. I had to laugh and I explained to him I asked for the seasoned dentist upfront due to my fear of all things dentistry and wished us both luck. He was AWESOME! His personality is hilarious. He would joke when I needed a joke. Made me feel comfortable from minute one. We are many appointments, fillings and crowns in and he is still my all time favorite dentist and I've had many in my nearly sixty years. They did a great job of looking at his teeth and helping us to know the best way to brush his teeth. He left with a handful of prizes as well. All around, it was a very positive experience. Update: went in for our next appointment. It went well and my son got his fun little gadgets after. I was fully happy with everything that happened until about 20 minutes later when my son started vomiting. Turns out, young kids sometimes don't do very good with fluoride because it makes them nauseas, like they actually absorb it into their system. I wish I would have been warned! I would have just turned it down. It is now nearly 3 hours later and he's still vomiting about every 30 minutes.

Yesterday, I had a tooth pulled and an implant placed by Dr. Price. He has a wonderful bedside manner--friendly, relatable, and professional--which made the entire experience much less stressful. The medical assistants, Kally, Loredana, and Madison, were also amazing. They were all so sweet, personable, and reassuring throughout the procedure. Their kindness and positive attitudes really helped put me at ease during what could have been a stressful situation. I truly appreciate the care and compassion shown by everyone in the office. My 6 yr old had a mesiodens (extra tooth behind and between her permanent teeth) that her dentist…read morebeen monitoring for years. This year, dentist recommended that she see oral surgeon for evaluation & extraction of her extra tooth so that her permanent teeth can erupt. I don't know of anyone who had this type of tooth removed this young and so nervous about it. I looked around at a few oral surgeons, and emailed Dr. Price's practice inquiring whether they work on patients this young. They do, and they work in conjunction with pediatric anesthesiologists for young patients. At consult, Dr. Price made my child feel comfortable. It was cool to see the 3D images of my child's teeth with the ones growing in and also the extra tooth. My child's consult was at the end of January and her procedure was end of March (today) because that was the soonest the pediatric anesthesiologist would be available at Dr. Price's practice. The pediatric anesthesiologists work directly with several oral surgeons in the area to provide available days to schedule surgery. Cost: you gotta plan for it if you do not have adequate insurance. They quoted $1665 w/o insurance. With my primary dental and husband's secondary dental insurance it was $375 total. The surgery required removal of her other baby front tooth and she also had a wiggly bottom tooth ready to fall out. Writing on day of her procedure. My child recovered SO WELL by the end of the day, & excited to turn in three teeth to the Tooth Fairy. Thank you Dr. Price for your skill & care with my child for her procedure.
