She made me feel beautiful, empowered, and confident throughout the entire session. My husband and I were also so impressed with how comfortable she made us feel with posing--it never felt forced, and she guided us in a way that felt completely natural and genuine. Not only is she talented behind the camera, but she truly cares about capturing meaningful moments. We hadn't had a family photo taken in quite some time, so spur of the moment I tried to find a photographer for a Charleston photo shoot. The minute I saw Melissa's examples on her website, I knew she was the one I wanted to use. Due to my son's military schedule, we had to do some juggling to find a date and time that worked, but she was super accommodating. We wanted a "Charleston" backdrop, so we met at White Point gardens, took many photos there, as well as throughout downtown Charleston, and along the seawall at the battery. Melissa was great to work with, and made you feel immediately at ease. She had a lot of great suggestions, and really worked hard to get us a variety of photos so we'd have many to choose from. I also really liked that we would be given access to all the photos that she took, and weren't locked into a specific set amount. We are thrilled with the results, and would highly recommend her! You could say I found my wedding photographers before I found my husband. Over the years, I've worked with them numerous times over the years. Ben & Erin photographed my engagement session in Scottsdale, AZ. Then they photographed our wedding weekend in Lake Como, Italy. Every photo they took from our trip in Italy is my most prized possession! It was like having friends photograph the first most important day of my life. My pictures are emotional, sentimental, and vibrant. While I was living in the moment at my wedding, they were documenting moments I didn't even see happening. Today, I cherish the variety of pictures they captured of my Mom and me at my wedding, her happiest of times and now, all I have left to remember her. She loved Ben & Erin because they are not just friendly people, they are intelligent, fun to be around, adventurous and kind hearted people. Above all, they are the most communicative and creative photographers I have ever met. They always superpass my expectations. Next month, we will hire them to photograph our business headshots in Charleston, SC. I trust them to make me look good and capture my best looking self (maybe even better than myself). They know the right thing to do in every moment. I wouldn't just recommend them, I'd tell you to hire them before they book up.

I have also used Michel for corporate headshots, and he did a fantastic job with those as well. We used an outdoor location and Michel went to a lot of trouble to arrive at the shoot early and set everything up. If you need a photographer for any occasion, Michel is your guy! The pictures are amazing! Michel was friendly and worked very hard. It was extremely hot and he was running all over Sea Pines getting the pictures. My family, friends and I felt comfortable during the group photos. Michel provided a relaxed atmosphere that allowed us to take some really great pictures. If I had to do it again, there is one little thing I would change. Although I was aware of the time that Michel was leaving, I had no idea what time it was during the reception. So, when he told me it was time for him to go, I didn't have a chance to get a few more pictures in. I wish I had asked for a 20-30 minute warning so that I could make sure I had photos with specific people. However, the pictures that Michel did get were wonderful. A week before the wedding, Michel arranged a bridal shoot in Charleston. The weather was not cooperating with us, but Michel was determined to get it done. I was impressed with his diligence. In the end, after changing locations, but eventually ending at our original spot, we successfully completed the bridal shoot. We had a good time, and you cannot tell at all that the weather was dull and overcast. The pictures are beautiful! We are very happy with our experience with Michel, and we would not hesitate to use King Street Photos again in the future.

Her true colors came out when we requested to cancel the date we booked with her due to an emergency. Due to my health, we wouldn't be able to make our date and we informed leeann that we would have to cancel. She informed us that we wouldn't be getting our deposit back but she would be able to reschedule. Normally, I understand about rescheduling but we are in Chicago and the time frame for us to actually go to Charleston was uncertain. In her contract, she states that she will reschedule, "due to severe weather." Beyond this, her "contract" says there is no refund policy but leads to believe its only for weather. The contract is very vague and misleading. If you schedule with her, be sure to ask questions about what "no refunds" truly cover if other situations should occur.

He's the best photographer in Charleston and probably even the country... or world. I'm not even being sarcastic when I say that - he's THAT good! I loved every second of our time together - from the Facetime chats we would have before the wedding to arranging my beautiful wedding album. First of all, I'm sure you have seen how incredibly talented he is. His work is truly the best of the best and he will give the most gorgeous photos. My wedding photos are so beautiful that they've actually brought me to tears. I love and cherish them so much. Then there is Philip as a person. He's just so amazing in every way. He's fun, professional, hilarious, and extremely kind. Even though the wedding is over, I still love talking to Philip whenever I get the chance. How many people consider their wedding photographer a friend after the fact? It's pretty awesome! One story I'll never forget - On the actual wedding day, my hair and makeup took too long and I was over an hour late getting to my First Look. My anxiety level was at all time high. Then, my dad who was supposed to drive me to the location decided to "go for a drive" and was no where to be found (seriously Dad?!). I thought I was going to break down in tears, but Philip had my back! He cleared out his car and I jumped in and he drove me to the First Look. On the way there, he helped me see the humor in the situation and my anxiety melted away. I went from feeling completely crushed to laughing in just minutes. He just has that effect on people. And trust me - when it's your wedding day, those are the types of people that make all the difference. It's so true that your wedding photographer is the most important decision you will make about your wedding. Don't hesitate - book Philip now! I'm 100% positive that you will have zero (and I mean ZERO) regrets. I wish I could do it all over again.
