BUYER BEWARE! Never go here (Mayfield/Lander location). I was given a specific price by one of the employees for my oil change and then was overcharged by an additional $20 (now $104) WITHOUT being told this and without my knowledge. THEN was lied to, one of the employees said that I was told about the higher price (he wasn't even the one I was communicating with about the price, he was doing the oil change). I would NEVER pay and have NEVER paid $104 for an oil change! They also charged me for an oil filter which they never told or asked me about, just added to my bill like the more expensive oil change. Very deceitful and dishonest business practices. Customer service/DM weren't any better. I will NEVER go back to any Take Five. Highly UN-recommend. read more

I took my car in for a simple oil change, and they put in the wrong type of oil, which caused permanent damage to my engine. To make matters worse, when I went back to complain, all the did was change the oil again and "could not" issue a refund. My car continued to have issues and every time I went back they just told me I have to run the new oil through and the problem would go away. That worked for some time, but months later, I am having issues related to the damage they caused. Now I'm stuck with a hefty repair bill thanks to their incompetence. Their customer service is non-existent, and they clearly don't care about the damage they cause to people's vehicles. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place. They're unprofessional, incompetent, and completely unwilling to make things right when they screw up. You're better off changing the oil yourself or going to a dealership rather than trusting these guys with your car. read more

Complete negligence at this location. The " mechanics " do not know what they are doing. They completely wasted my time when they could not actually change my oil as they " didnt know how." Absolutely horrible experience and I will never be back. The employees told me they were not able to access my oil to give me an oil change...so I left without one. When I got home my skid plate was dragging on the ground. I then took it to my mechanic who told me the people at take 5 cut your skid plate off attempting to get to your oil. I was never informed by this. When I called take 5 to confront them about the situation the gentleman on the phone told me to "just go buy a new skid plate." Their website says they open at 7AM. I went to both of the Mayfield locations and neither were open. I waited even until 7:25. I called in at 7:00 and the phone center said to wait until 7:15 as that's when the techs roll in. I did and no one showed. Super annoying and a waste of time as their website says they open at 7AM on Tuesdays. If they can't hold their hours and teams accountable to their hours how can we trust them to work on our vehicles? At minimum update your hours. I will not be using Take 5. read more

I'm a longtime customer, and have only been to this location a couple of times. Today, they have one person working, with three different lanes open. Everyone had to wait for a minimum of one hour before they could be seen. This is a horrible representation of their company and I probably will never come back to this place. I recently went to get a top off on my fluids the person working on my car didn't put my coolant completely on which caused my engine to overheat and blow while I was driving on the freeway. I don't have a car my engine is blew i was suspose to recieve a call from coporate regarding my engine September 1 , 2023 It is now september 6, 2023 very unprofessional and still have no contact with anybody at the moment read more

A few days ago, my dealership was closed for the day so I went to the Take 5 Mayfield Hts location and the young male technician who assisted me to my shock was quite inebriated, stumbling around and very unprofessional and inappropriate with me & he scared me. I will not return to this location again. No one at Take 5 wanted to give me a managers name to speak to make my complaint. Take 5? More like take 55. Thought it would be a quick and simple process but they are extremely, extremely slow. No sense of urgency and another car that came in after me was serviced first. The water they gave you while you waited was a nice touch. But not enough to recommend this place. Took my car to get a repeat oil change. Sat there for an hour and they told me my oil filter cap was stripped and they couldn't get it off. They were waiting for a tool from the local auto zone to remove it. When they got it, it wouldn't work . I'm thinking it was put on wrong from the last time I went there. They told me they would call when they get another tool in to remove it. They never called. Took it to the dealership and they took care of it. I'll never go to back to that place again read more

Stay away. Went to the location with my wifes car. They insisted it required synthetic oil. I looked at the owners manual and saw no mention of a requirement to use synthetic oil. Instead of the 29.95 oil change i spend around 60.00. Got home and called dealer and conventional oil was fine. Called the manager and told him i payed 2 times because i was misled by the shop. He said that he would get with the manager and see if they could comp us the next oil change. I called back and they would not. Contacted my credit card company and put in a dispute. I have vehicles which require special oil. I have no problem with that. As long as it is required. Be wary of what they tell you. read more
