An update from my original review. The bolts on the oil pan I had these people put on were not…read moreproperly torque down. As a result, the gasket between the pan and engine did not properly seal leading to it leaking. The parts had no issues with them and the installation failed. A gasket failure could only be fixed by taking the pan back off and because I was not in the area I had to get it fixed elsewhere. After learning why it failed I made several attempts to contact McCrary's and let several voice mails explaining the situation but none of my calls have been answered nor have I been called back. I would not take my vehicle here even if it broke down in front of their shop as they cannot preform something as simple as torquing the bolts down properly to is sure the part stays in place. These people can't preform basic installation steps and will avoid you if you try to get your money back after they fail the job.

Unfortunately this place is not Christian in any ways. Took my car for an AC leak, they told me the…read moreleak was coming from the valves. Paid $700+ for it. But a month later AC is blowing hot again. Took it back, the valve is leaking again. They replaced it. Now it's the third time AC is blowing hot once again. This time it triggered me, because I can now confirm the valve was never the problem! Valves don't fail like that every other month. So I paid all that money for nothing. And the person there said that they replaced the Schrader valve out of courtesy. How can you call a 700 dollar job courtesy??? That's disrespectful. He also said they didn't have time to look up the real issue. I took my car there in January first time, and this is what he says.

I can say with complete confidence that you will be very happy if you give Alan's Car Care a try. Here's an example of the kind of integrity you'll find at Alan's...Brought in my Tacoma with a whine coming from the rear end. Alan took a couple of days to isolate the problem and gave me his recommendation. I agreed with the diagnosis and they completed the repairs. When I picked up truck, I was happy to hear that they would guarantee their work for 1 year. Drove that truck around for 10 months...no problems...no whine...drove it local and highway...everywhere. Then suddenly I started having problems with my breaks fading. Took it back to Alan's and waited. There was a brake problem alright, but it wasn't brake failure...a seal on my 10 month old rear end repair had failed leaking lubricant on my brakes. He could have told me anything...but he was honest. Not only did Alan repair the seal...he did an entire brake job on my truck...NO CHARGE!!! I felt he would repair the rear end under the 1 year warranty...but I was frankly shocked he did a complete brake job on my truck. I asked him why...all he said was..."It was our fault...we stand behind our work." No double talk...no trying to squirm out of it like a lot of other shops. That was two years ago...My rebuilt rear end and brake job are still going strong! That was my first experience with Alan and Alan's Car Care. He's has worked on our Expedition since then with excellent results. I'll never take my cars anywhere else.
