Staff was amazing, especially the manager on ambassador he's awesome. .....................

Buyer beware, 7/29/2026 I took my vehicle to Take 5 for nothing more than a routine oil change. Before the service, my vehicle had no warning lights and was driving perfectly. The moment I left the parking lot, my oil warning light came on. Seconds later, the EPC warning light came on, and my vehicle began hesitating and struggling to accelerate past approximately 35 mph. This created a serious safety concern. I immediately returned to the shop and explained what happened. The technician reset the warning lights and added more oil, but the problem was not fixed. As soon as I left again, both warning lights returned and my vehicle continued to hesitate while accelerating. A simple oil change should never result in warning lights and a vehicle that feels unsafe to drive. I am now faced with the inconvenience, stress, and potential expense of having my vehicle inspected after a service that should have been routine. I have reported this incident to Take 5 Corporate and expect a thorough investigation and resolution. I am sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision. I sincerely hope Take 5 takes responsibility if their service caused these issues read more

i would always get my oil change at this place, and the last time they did it not only they messed up the oil plug but the oil pan for putting too much pressure on the screw. i tried to talk to them about it to get it fix all they said was the general manager will call you. its been over a month and a half waiting and nothing. they break your car and dont take responsibility for it. worst costumer service and they have people who are learning do your oil change without supervision. Would not tell anyone i know to change the oil with take5. read more

Every time I see the ad that is 10 minutes I'll call y'all the biggest liars I've ever ever met in my life... OK I went there. They let a man cut in front of me and then come out and explain that it was a mistake and I was there like 30 minutes I was supposed to have a discount y'all didn't give me a discount these people were more interested in doing drugs, and they are doing their job, so I'll never return to y'all every time I see you commercial like these big fat liars !!! read more

I went to get my oil changed, they didn't install the filter properly, and the oil spilled. I went to complain and they said they would call me back. I've called since then and they don't answer anymore. Very bad service. read more

***Update district manager just called me hung up on me then called me back after realizing he messed up. Said my son is lying. I never experienced such a horrible excuse for a district manager before. Now wonder the service sucks look how unprofessional the district manager is. Told me after hanging up on me it's 3 against 1 so nothing you can do. He doesn't know me Take 5 Oil Change I will talk to the CEO. Please don't support a company like this. I am just in shock. I am currently waiting for the Regional to call me because everyone has a boss right! I sure hope that phone call was recorded. Then they said 3 against one when Zach said there was only 2 employees. I will request the video of the 3. I am warning everyone to not use Take 5 in Opelousas. My son brought his truck into Take 5 Oil Change for an oil change. They asked him if he wanted any extras. He said no just an oil change because that is what he was instructed to do. He was charged for gear fluid change in the amount of $99. I noticed because his bank account alerted me when his balance gets under $100. I just put in $300 for him to have gas, oil change and money to eat. They charged him $218 when it should have been under $100 like it always is. They don't give you anything to sign so he didn't know. His truck doesn't even have 60k miles and just had everything checked when I bought it so it was not needed either. I am not one to complain on social media but when you file a complaint over a week ago and can't get anyone to call you back I feel like I need to warn everyone in this city to not go there. They want to take money from my child and they will more than likely women and men as well. I can't get over someone not calling me back after over a week. If this is how you do business in a small town Take 5 Oil Change you won't be open for long. I am sure others have had bad experiences that they will share as well. Support local shops because I will never waste another dollar on a corporate company that can't call me back after 7 days. I am not important enough so they won't be important enough. Take 5 is owned by Driven Brands. read more

I usually do not write reviews on Oil changes but I have to give this place 5 stars. The service was awesome and the techs were so nice!!! They changed everything in front of me and showed we what they were replacing. Since this was an unexpected stop for an Oil change I wasn't expecting much, but this place was so great!!!! If in the area this is the place to go!! read more

Got my car serviced yesterday. Had to wait a little bit because they were very busy when I went but they were rocking all three bays. I am very pleased with the service received. Everyone was so helpful and courteous. I was helped by Devon. He was great! read more

The guys who work here are all so professional and nice. I love that I don't have to get out of my car and they fill up all of my necessary fluids and even sold and changed my wiper blades on my most recent visit. They also open early (7am) so I was able to go before work and get my oil change out of the way. Take 5 is the only place I'll go for an oil change. read more

They are very knowledgeable and kind. Devon checked all my fluids and tire pressure and he took such good care of me.

The team is always nice. They move fast and are super helpful. They even changed out my wipers for me as I couldn't figure out how to do it myself. No shame in asking for help! Great team and always dependable!! read more

ari is amazing such a girls girl. had my car in and out , she was kind reassuring and everyone was fast

took FOREVER. dude's just yapping about dumb stuff the entire time. would work a little, then walk away to yap with their buddies. I was legit here for over an hour on a basic oil change. Take 5? More like Take my life. God this experience sucked read more

While the workers were perfectly kind, the actual work and quality is non-exsistent. A few days before a long roadtrip, I got my oil changed here. The service was quick, they so-say "checked everything" and was good to go. Once I left for my trip after a couple of hours of driving there was an awful, scary metal sound coming from under my car. It was my skid plate. Let's just say it would have been better if they had for gotten it all together. It was missing bolts and the TWO that were there were not even the ones that go with my car. I was going almost 90 mph and am thankful that nothing horrible happened but was terrifying to say the least. I called and the person on the phone could care less what happened - essentially shrugged it off. This has happened to multiple people I know once I started asking around Luckily the manager at the Kaliste Saloom location was a wonderful help and showed care for what happened. He has since assisted in getting things repaired and took the feedback seriously - hope it improves others experience. read more

Take 5 Oil Change - Skid Plate - this was after I flattened it out some to remove it - Oil Change Stations Near Me - Lafayette, Louisiana

I tried to get an oil change TWICE yesterday. This place is WAY too unorganized as they keep moving cars from stall to other stalls. I left after the first attempt as I had things to do. My second attempt was way before the 7:00 pm closing. I was in the queue for 15 minutes. Finally was guided into the stall where I sat again waiting as two of the employees were too busy finding an iPhone charging cable for one of their phones. I gave up and told them I was driving out (to there millennial astonishment). The customer service was questionable. Years ago this was a great place for a quick oil change. Heed the reviews. Go somewhere else. read more

I had my oil changed by the manager of the Ambassador location on 4/19. He tried to upsell me several items. I told him no to a few of the items he was trying to sell me. He was very pushy and even leaned in my car window with his finger ready to touch my phone screen because I was looking for a discount since the charge was $250. He charged me for items I never authorized. When my card was charged the manager crumpled up my receipt and never gave me a printout. I called the customer service line 3-4 times and was finally able to get a copy of my receipt on 4/20 where I discovered all the fraudulent charges. This gentleman even had the nerve to make sure I left him 5 stars so he could get promoted when he knew he stole money from me. Imagine how many other customers he's done this to. I won't be back. I'm cancelling my debit card because who knows if he took pictures of it. read more

Heather Bouillon Foster WORST PLACE EVER!! I wanted to share my story to save another person from the distress I've been in for the last 24 hours. Yesterday I went to Take 5 on Ambassador Caffery to get an oil change. I was informed that they accidentally dumped out my transmission fluid and were calling a tow truck. 45 mins - 1 hour later the tow truck came and towed it to Hampton Toyota dealership. The car got there too late in the day and couldn't be worked on. I told Take 5 I wanted a transmission flush, which they said they would not do, they would only replace the fluid they dumped out. When we got home, my husband and I stayed trying to call someone in a higher position to assist us with the matter. No one answered the phone, no returned calls. I filled out a complaint online, no response. Fast forward to today. I go to the dealership to pick up my car (they told me it was ready) and they won't release it bc they need payment. Again, no one from Take 5 answers my call or the dealerships. Finally I am told that the Take 5 manager is at lunch for the hour and there is no one else I can talk to. WTF?? Many calls and lots of BS and time later, Take 5 manager doesn't know what is going on about making payment. Finally...a credit card number was given and it declined. Second time it went through. What a massive headache for an oil change! I was without a car for just about 24 hours. I guess I'm lucky that I didn't have work yesterday or today, or kids in need. Moral of the story is I am NEVER getting an oil change from any Take 5 again for the rest of my life, and I don't recommend you do either bc this could possibly happen to you! PS- Dealership told me this happens quite often and many times Take 5 never pays and they are tired of getting stuck. Feel free to share if your loved one gets their oil change there. #saveafriend read more

Don't go to this place they will screw you over and the manager's First language was not english so there is a communication issue. They changed $50 for a cabin filter when I had just changed it read more

Very friendly, took care of exactly what we needed. Made she we knew what they were doing at all times.

Absolutely terrible will never go again. 3+ people left at the same time I did bc it took so long. I went bc they never rescrewed my plastic cover over my oil pan so it was dragging the previous time! The dude made me wait in line until I got fed up and left. That's not good customer service especially whenever it is their mistake in the first place! read more

This take 5 was awesome. I've never been to one of these before. I was out running errands with my 7 month old and it caught my attention while in Lafayette so I decided to stop and give it a try. So glad I did the guys were very professional and fast. Three different guys came up to my vehicle asking if I'd like a bottle of water. read more

What a gem. Fast and thorough service without the pressure to buy more than I needed. Everyone was super friendly and made sure me and my car were taken care of. I will definitely be returning next oil change. read more

Driving up to this place, I knew that it would take no time at all to have my oil changed. I initially thought that's all they would do, but I was surprised! When I drove in, the guy who helped me drive in was extremely nice and courteous. He got my information, let me know exactly what they were going to do, and let a first-time customer know his car was going to be treated well. When they got started, they offered me a drink (Coke, Powerade, water, the usual). Excellent! I sat in my car the entire time while they changed my oil from under me. It took them longer than usual to change mine due to the nature of my car. They actually let me know of some damage the previous place that changed my oil caused, which I wasn't even aware of (oversized oil pan/filter). That more than makes up for the extra time I was sitting there waiting. For the price I paid ($29.99 promotion), everything was perfect and better than the regular $45 oil change I would get at another local place. Highly recommended! read more

Lazy. If you pull in behind someone BUT at the same time, and then you end up in the line that is ready first... they make you reverse and let the other people get in front of you. They close one hour early but don't post it anywhere for a hurricane that's hitting in TWO DAYS. What is one hour early doing for them on a Tuesday and blaming a hurricane that's hitting on a Thursday? They are LAZY AND STUPID. read more

I had my oil change yesterday at the Ambassador Caffery Blvd location and they were awesome! I was told I would get a survey in my email to give them a review but never received anything. So, I figured this would be the second best way to compliment Michael and Jermaine with only the highest of gratitude. I was visiting from out of town and needed to get a quick oil change before driving back to ATL. Michael and Jermaine, as well as everyone at the location was very kind, accommodating, and fast. I wish I didn't live so far or else I would come to this location for every oil change. Thank you guys for being so kind! read more

I've gone to this place three times and they always have thee best service. The guys that work here are fairly young, but they are very respectful and give exceptional customer service. I'd highly recommend this place for fast, friendly, and affordable oil change services. read more

I drove up to get an oil change and was directed to a stall.. Another car was in it. When he was done the car drove out. I was then told to move to a different stall. Two minutes later I was told to move back to the first stall. I had people running around like crazy then they said thanks and goodbye. I asked if they had changed the oil and they said they didn't have my filter.. I spent 15 minutes only to find out this place was run worse than the Walmart read more

These guys were so honest they told me to wait on my oil change that I could go another 1000 miles. Checked tire pressure and coolant levels. No charge. Coming back here from now on read more

I was visiting from New Orleans and decided to get my oil change (it had been a whole year!). Everything was done in 5 minutes. The guys working there were very nice, we talked a little, and laugh, too. They didn't try to impose an expensive oil. They asked if I wanted to change my air filter, and when I said "no", they didn't push it. Great place to go! read more

The guys at this location are super nice & efficient. They offered me some water & I shared my boudin & cracklins with them. :)

Wonderful, friendly, quick service! We stopped for a quick oil change during a cross country road trip. They even gave us cold water bottles while we waited the few minutes. GREAT PLACE! read more

These folks are very customer service oriented and very prompt and efficient. I am from out of state but these folks handled my vehicle with professionalism. They explained everything and were very detailed and no pressure for you to buy anything. If I am ever back in the Lafayette area I will stop by again. I travel many miles on the road and this type of business makes you feel at home. Kyle greeted me and explained the entire process and Willie the trainer filled me in on the company as I was a new customer to Take 5. If they setup Texas locations I would visit their locations. read more

There was a long line of cars today, and they were short staffed (not the workers faults!) and they still did a great job! They show that they care about their jobs and are willing to work hard even given the circumstances! Thanks for taking care of us today, Brennen! read more

My first time has made me a lifetime customer, atleast when I find myself nearby. While here I was here I was offered a bottle of water, they told me that I really didn't need an oil change because my oil was very clean and heard them tell a customer she was in too soon for an oil change, which she left without getting one. They were even the first ones that acknowledged Toyota's recommendation of 5,000 miles between changes rather than the standard 3,000. Very professional and honest! read more

Awesome quick service they even check and filled my tire pressures pleasure doing business!!!

Horrible customer service. Went there 2 days ago then realized that they put the wrong oil in my car and the wrong sticker. Anyhow they messed up said they'd fix it then after they expected me to pay for the oil change. So I tried to get hold of the customer service number or corporate number. I've called it at least 10 times and no one answered then they called the cops on me. Very rude and unprofessional. Y'all messed up. Plus the customer is always right. I've been coming here to get my oil changes for 5 years now I will never be going back and I would still love to get a hold of customer service..... read more

My daughter went here and they took advantage of a young, teenage girl who was excited to get her first oil change. They lied to her and told her she needed synthetic oil for a crappy Chevy car. I would really recommend this place to a friend. They were quick and courteous.
