There's a saying that I tell people who are trying to save money on necessary repairs. "Buy cheap now, you'll pay more later." A car is an investment, and it should be part of your yearly budget to set money aside for repairs. In New Orleans and Louisiana as a whole, we know the streets and highways are bad, so save your money for brakes and struts and tires! With this being said, Bring your car to en establishment who specializes with these services where you get warranties and you can familiarize yourself with the staff. Get the Firestone credit card because it will benefit you in the long run. Ladies, don't prioritize beauty products and material things like clothes, shoes and trips, prioritize a good mechanic, reliable service. This way, whatever James tells you your car needs, you'll have the money.

It was 100 degrees and 5pm traffic. We thought we were screwed but pulled into Firestone to see if they could help. They had a full house but the team there (led by Wagner) checked our pressure, found the leak, and had us replaced and back on the road within 45 minutes. I was shocked at how incredible the experience was. They saved the day. My wife and dog didn't even have to leave the car. They also gave me a solid price on the tire! If I go at 8 AM I'm often asked if I can leave my vehicle. No I cannot because who will come get me??? I am often told "we only have 1 technician" ', or "we're pretty full", or "We are short on staff". Sometimes I am not able to just jump up, and I'm not able to schedule appointments because I work. I will NEVER GO BACK TO THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!!!! To my friend who referred me, I tried, but I just CANNOT!!!!!

I brought my car in for oil chg and tire rotation 3 days ago. I asked them to check my…read moretransmission as it was acting funny. Dont think they checked it. When we left we got about a mile down the street and the car died, would not start. Goodrich sent a mechanic who jumped me a couple times to drive a little further but never got more than half a mile. He said the was going to the shop to get a batteray and replace the old one as that could be the problem. Needless to say it started up and we finished driving back to the shop. They charged me $274.00 for the new battery. 2 days later I brought it in to my dealer asking them to check my transmission as the car was still acting strange. They called me today to tell me the transmission was fine and a new alternator is what I needed. The one in the car was about dead, the new battery was keeping it alive. He said that was why it was acting funny because the dying alternator did not have enough power to run the care correctly. So my trip for an oil chg etc cost me $92.00, and the battery $274.00 at Goodyear. Had they checked the battery and alternator like say they do they would have found the problem. They always say the check everything...they said they reset the mileage for oil change on dash after I asked and they did not. How can I believe they do everything I brought the car in for? The cost an the dealer is anothe $327.00 for alternator & labor plus $247.00 for diagnostic fee. Looks like I am out $875.00. Maybe I did not need a new battery, it was their word.... I had stopped going to Goodyear in Kenner on 32nd St for a while and decided to go back a few months ago....but after this episode I WILL NEVER GO BACK! I will go to Firestone, they are closer to my house. So please people, make sure the diagnosis is correct on your vehicle from Goodyear if you go there for serivce...and ask all the questions you want to . The Mgr Ron has always worked with me the past years but now I am not sure it was not a ploy.

But there are only two kinds experiences that stick out as unforgettable. When everything is great and goes right and when when everything goes bad and is abysmal. Well Cottoman certainly isn't great and they're expensive to boot. So if you want to drive a car out of a garage and have it towed back, then Cotton is for you.

I waited a while (a little over a month) to do this review because I didn't want to be as angry as I was a month ago when writing it. We have used this Speedee/Midas for about 8 years. They have always been amazing. They have fixed my car even when other shops couldn't. I have only ever talked highly of them to people and I even would recommend them all the time. It started many years ago with a mechanic named Chris there and he was amazing. Then, Nas came along and she was equally awesome. The owner/manager lady always made sure your car got fixed in a timely manner. She was great too. Not anymore!! My husband's car started acting up on the morning of 8/12/24. So, we had it towed to Speedee. Again... we passed like 15 repair shops from where we live to bring it there. That's how much we (used to) trust them. So, they call my husband later in the day and say "you need this, this, and this done. It will be $1236 plus tax." My husband said yes because he just wanted his car drivable and back on the road. He was desperate and vulnerable. He agreed. We went to pick up the car and we paid. They waited until AFTER the work was done to say "oh... you need a new engine." What?!?! Why didn't they say that from the start?! We paid all that money and they waited to tell us that!!!!!!! So crappy. We ended up junking the car for a measles $300 and having to get him a new car. We are out this $1349.71 all because they took advantage of him when he was vulnerable. The other people would have never done that! This place has lost my business forever and I have been telling everyone how much they ripped us off. What a scam! How dare you take advantage of vulnerable customers? You should have given full disclosure about the engine BEFORE telling us we needed the work done. I'm out all this money because you people are money hungry and greedy scam artists! 8 years of loyalty down the drain.
