I brought my car in for oil chg and tire rotation 3 days ago. I asked them to check my transmission as it was acting funny. Dont think they checked it. When we left we got about a mile down the street and the car died, would not start. Goodrich sent a mechanic who jumped me a couple times to drive a little further but never got more than half a mile. He said the was going to the shop to get a batteray and replace the old one as that could be the problem. Needless to say it started up and we finished driving back to the shop. They charged me $274.00 for the new battery. 2 days later I brought it in to my dealer asking them to check my transmission as the car was still acting strange. They called me today to tell me the transmission was fine and a new alternator is what I needed. The one in the car was about dead, the new battery was keeping it alive. He said that was why it was acting funny because the dying alternator did not have enough power to run the care correctly. So my trip for an oil chg etc cost me $92.00, and the battery $274.00 at Goodyear. Had they checked the battery and alternator like say they do they would have found the problem. They always say the check everything...they said they reset the mileage for oil change on dash after I asked and they did not. How can I believe they do everything I brought the car in for? The cost an the dealer is anothe $327.00 for alternator & labor plus $247.00 for diagnostic fee. Looks like I am out $875.00. Maybe I did not need a new battery, it was their word.... I had stopped going to Goodyear in Kenner on 32nd St for a while and decided to go back a few months ago....but after this episode I WILL NEVER GO BACK! I will go to Firestone, they are closer to my house. So please people, make sure the diagnosis is correct on your vehicle from Goodyear if you go there for serivce...and ask all the questions you want to . The Mgr Ron has always worked with me the past years but now I am not sure it was not a ploy. read more

I had a 'tire" disaster early this week....so on almost riding on a rim I took it across the street to Goodyear...I needed new tires so that went okay....drove home..drove the next day and noted the TPSI screen blank.....took it back....the guy says oh its left rear sensor....replaces.still no PSI reading.....messes around with 3 other guys for 45 minutes.....and then says...." Well we don't know what is wrong so take it to Toyota" ......didn't charge for the sensor which was quoted as $169...and today I know why....because my whole system on the Camry is corrupted..now nothing reads....not just the PSI but every other metric is grayed out......so they screwed this up and that is why they didn't charge me.....(Lightbulb goes off!!) Took it to Toyota today and an hour later and $148 later it's all fixed....the whole system had to be initialized and recalibrated......so the moral of the story is ..next time I have a "tire disaster" I will tow my car to Ray Brandt before I let Goodyear lay a hand.. read more

Don't bring your car here. Brought it in for a misfire in my first cylinder so they claimed they were going to change all my sparks plugs and ignition coils because they said they couldn't tell which plugs were bad. Anyway, they charged me a ridiculous price but I needed my car back and they were the place open by me on the weekend. A few months later, I had the same issue as before and when I looked at the sparks plugs, they were rusted and so loose I could take them out with my hand. So they either didn't change my spark plugs at all or did a terrible job and didn't tighten them at all. Just a warning, unless you want terrible service and insanely high prices, don't take your car here. read more

This Goodyear location gets 2 thumbs up! I bypass several other locations and drive almost 30 minutes to get here. The customer service is top notch and I always feel welcomed. I usually make an appointment ahead of time and I'm always in and out. I had an issue once and informed that I was inconvenienced. They were quick to make it right (which I really appreciated). On my last oil change, they told me I needed new tires. I already knew that, but after talking to them, I realized just how serious it was. When selecting the tires, they helped me choose what made the most sense (as opposed to selling me the most expensive). Within 1.5 - 2 hours, they had the tires delivered and on my car. read more

NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. I should have trusted my gut since I usually take my car to the dealership, but I needed an oil change before a last-minute road trip and this was the only place near me with availability. I made an appointment for 4pm and the cashier was surprised that I was there because he thought they were done for the day? Umm, you close at 5pm, dude. Should have been my first sign that their lazy a**es wouldn't take care of my car. Well, 1 day and a 7 hour road trip later, I pull into my parents garage and we notice that the car is leaking oil HEAVILY. Merry Christmas to me! So now, I have to get my car towed to the dealership (which I SHOULD have done in the first place) and likely pay another $70-100 in the middle of a pandemic to put oil in my car. These are the kind of mistakes that happen when you trust your car with minimum wage workers that could care less if you blow your engine. This never would have been an issue if they thoroughly checked that the cap was secure. And I'm SURE Goodyear is going to fight me tooth and nail for a refund, when they should be overcompensating for trying to destroy my engine. If zero stars were available this would be the one place that deserves it! I went in to get my tire patched. It had a slow leak, no big deal, and to have my oil changed. I dropped my car off, they said give them an hour or so. I live close so my boyfriend picked me up and we went home for a bit to wait. I get a call from them 45 min later saying they couldn't change my oil because my oil cap was broke! Really!?! That's strange because I just checked my oil the day before and it was fine...ok obviously they broke and didn't want to admit it, whatever. So I go pick up my car, I get home and the same tire I asked them to patch was almost flat! I live 5 blocks from this place. I took it back and the guy said "oh you must have driven over a nail on the way home and punctured it again! They look at and tell me they can't patch it, it's too damaged and that I need a new tire! I asked them put on my old tire, if I did need a new one I was not buying one from them. I wanted to take it elsewhere for another opinion. Yes, they were mad that I chose not to spend any more money there but I already paid for a tire patch that never was, so no thank you! I have been to Unique Auto before and trusted them (even though it wasn't close to my hose) so, I stopped in they promptly fixed my tire and I was out of there in 15 minutes. I was referred by a friend during a low tire crisis. It took maybe 30 minutes total. While I waited I had some coffee and water and was supplied with excellent customer service. The building is extremely nice and updated. The staff was very kind, courteous, and quick. Then I found out they patched my tire for free! Thank you Mr. Ronald and Mr. Michael for great customer service and a great experience overall. Highly recommend! I'll be a returning customer for sure. read more

I will never refer anyone to this place. Came in at three o'clock to have my tires switched out and not only did they charge $35. It took them 3 HOURS to take a tire out of my trunk and put it on my car. Not to mention it took about 20 minutes before I was even acknowledged by staff. NEVER AGAIN! read more

This Goodyear location should get an award for having the most friendly staff ever. I've been to this location twice in the last 6-7 months and each time the gentlemen at the counter are extremely friendly, helpful and honest. The first time I went here was to have my tires inspected. I was experiencing some vibration despite having an alignment and rotation a few months earlier (elsewhere). I originally went to my dealership to have the tires looked at. They told me I needed new rear brakes, new calipers, and all new tires. It was going to be expensive. I wanted a second opinion so I went to Goodyear after calling around for tire prices. James priced my tires and told me of a sale they were having and a rebate offer. Sold. I brought my car in Mardi Gras weekend. I told James about the "diagnosis" from the dealership. He said he would have his master mechanic take a look at the breaks and calipers for me. In the time it took me to eat lunch, my new tires were on. I came back and James told me the calipers were fine and there was no need for new rear breaks. I had PLENTY of time before I would need new ones. He did say though that I had a bent rim on the front tire that was causing the vibration. He said they installed that one in the rear so I would feel less vibration, but to look into getting a new rim. He gave me the name of a place to check too so I wouldn't have to go back to the greedy dealership (this place didn't have it unfortunately). Fast forward about 6 months and I had a leaky tire. I went back to this Goodyear to have it checked out. It couldn't be patched due to my still bent rim. But they could replace it for $21 since I had road hazard protection. The gentleman working this day was Troy (I think that was his name). He was so very friendly. I told him my troubles finding a rim not at my dealership. He gave me the name of 2 places in Biloxi that would ship the rim right to this Goodyear and they would put the rim on for free. They weren't just nice to me. They were nice to every person that came in. Simply outstanding service. I don't dread having my car looked at anymore because of them. read more

Overpriced oil change. 60 dollars at Goodyear vs 19.95 at Firestone. They also said it would take 1.5 hour but they took 2.5 and they were not that busy. I can see the employees taking their time and working really slow. read more

The new location, right outside the Esplanade Mall, opened about a week or two ago. I was so excited to have Goodyear back so close to my home. I called to get a price on 4 new tires and was told they were to busy to accommodate my tire issues. Thankfully Sam's sells Goodyear tires as well, because they were great and so helpful. I will NEVER do business with Goodyear again! read more
