Fell victim to a screw and a nail in two different tires and went here for replacements. The employees were very nice and helpful. They didn't have my particular tire in stock, but they were able to get it from another store quickly and both times I was in and out in less than 2 hours. Very rude representative at the front desk. He made me repeat each sentence 3 -4 times while requesting a routine service. I told him I found it very offensive making a customer repeat several times. he responded, " I don't understand what you are saying, oh, if you don't like it, you can go elsewhere!" Okay, so I left without further engagement with this rudest representative and grabbed my phone called fire stone and OFFICIALLY filed a complain. I highly recommend this Firestone location. Me and my family own 4 cars and we get all of our work done here. Our branch (well I) has a van that needed service for some time. I suppose there is no incentive to bring work vehicles in for service, but for me it was if you want to live till the next pay period. My van had an egg that you could see in the tire. The treadwear was uneven, and the vehicle only had 35k miles. The problem didn't seem impossible. If you look at the pics, it needed: 1) a tire, and 2) an alignment. It seems that one or the other was easy, but getting a shop to do both was like walking and chewing gum at the same time. My boss said "you probably have to bring it to like a FIRESTONE". ...Well I'm glad I did. I took 15 minutes Thursday to stop by and ask if they had time to check it out. I'm sure I could have waited if they jumped on it, but I didn't have the time. (Rome wasn't built in a day!) Mitch took my info just like Caesar's Palace. I had a fleet company to deal with, but it was all handled. All I had to do was bring it by Saturday. I dropped it off, and picked it up. It couldn't have been any easier. Like any business, if you educate yourself and trust them to do the work you ask there's no problem. There was a lady that was mentioning how synthetic oil is a waste and you don't need to change your oil but every 15,000 miles -- "because Toyota said so!" I suppose they get lots of that. Fortunately they have employees that exercise the restraint I could not withhold. Specifically, I asked them to do "as much as they could". The battery, transmission fluid, new valve stems, etc. pretend this van has to drive to Cali through a desert . That's what driving south Louisiana in August is similar to. Even though I wished for a new set of tires (they honestly reported the actual tread depth) , and so I am still with 3 different brands on 1 van... But hey, as least I know they pass on a litmus test of honesty. So all I get is an alignment and a tire. With the amount of driving (700 miles/week) I need to make sure that transport is top notch. I sincerely Thank the guys at firestone for taking care of me. Specifically Mitch and hopefully my technician Jason. Time will tell. P.s.- I looked at that invoice posted by another user and it looked very reasonable for the professional shop setup they have. A battery from anywhere is $150 installed, and I would gladly give $15 for someone to buy and install a burnt out bulb for me. All of that other stuff looked like someone drove a salvage vehicle in there. I would have liked to see the invoice from the dealer. (Or it would have been brought to the dealer, right???) read more

Today I went in for an oil and battery check, and the experience was very relaxing. Yes, relaxing. They have wifi, free coffee, and a comfy seating area. I graded papers peacefully while waiting. I knew that something was up with my shocks, and my tires really needed to be replaced. The mechanic let me know that my brake fluid needed to be changed along with the tires, and my shock fluid is leaking. This was a confirmation of a few things I already suspected. I do a lot of long distance driving and maintenance is becoming a must. The prices were reasonable, and the technician didn't pressure me to fix anything on the spot. I decided to go ahead and get half the work done, but I will be back for the rest soon. read more

I have been in here several times for various tire and non-tire work on an older Prius and I have never felt like they were pushing me to get anything done that I didn't want at the time. Always friendly service, and clear breakdown of the whys and whens. There is often some special pricing deal going on for various tires or services. It was hard to find an honest place to service my car in the Nola area but I finally found it here. 10/10, would recommend to anyone. read more

I dropped my car for an appointment for 10am for flat repair. There were only 2 cars working at the time. I stopped by around 1pm to check on my car, but it was still parked at the same spot I earlier parked. I came back around 4pm and see my car is finally worked on which should only take 10 mins to patch my tire. It took 6 hours to patch a tire. Expect to drop off your car for the entire day just for a 10 minute job. read more

It takes too long for an oil change, they left the car with the oil light on, and clear luck of professionalism from the lady at the front desk. When asked, she confirmed adding me a discount. However, when I received the final invoice email, the discount wasn't there. I tried to give several tries to this shop, but they just keep providing poor results for the price that you pay. read more

Very rude and unprofessional management! I brought my truck at 8am with an appointment for an oil change. I called after lunch and the person on the phone said they had 2 people in front of me but my truck should be done by 2pm. I got dropped off there at 2 and my truck was still being worked on. I was annoyed and told the manager Michael Boudreaux it shouldn't take 6 hours when I had an appointment at 8am. He got a huge attitude with me and told me I was ruining his lunch. I grew up in Metairie and that kind of attitude is exactly what the area doesn't need. It makes a lot of sense why your location can't complete work in a timely manner with this guy managing it. read more

I had a vehicle emergency during Mardi Gras and my 2 usual mechanics were not available so I went to Firestone. I knew I would be paying higher prices than my usual places but I was hearing metal grinding on metal when I hit my brakes and I was a bit desperate and they were available. My review is a 3 star because I had an even split of pros and cons. The con- when they called me with the diagnostic results, I was given a laundry list of things to be fixed. If I had said yes to everything, I would have easily spent well over $2000 and I had made it clear that I just wanted the brake problem fixed so that's all I authorized. I'm sure the other work needs to be done eventually, but it wasn't urgent and I can get it done for less. I don't like it when salespeople are pushy but they did back off when I said, please just focus on what needs to be done today to get the car back on the road. The pros- they did squeeze me in during a busy day and they did fix the problem in a timely manner and they were very nice. read more

Brian was my sales helper, he was funny in the way he spoke like those penguins from Madagascar. He even pointed it out. But he was very helpful with all of my questions and even help save me money. I went in without my fiance, which being a girl sales men feel like they can bully me into a sale. Brian did not! Even when I told him I need new wipers he picked out good midprice range ones. So all in all for 2 new tires, an alignment, a high mileage oil change and 2new wiper blades I spent $460. That's not a bad deal. And everyone working were in good moods and very attentive to everyone who walked in even when they couldn't be helped immediately. Good job firestone, I WILL be back. read more

I was recommended tire change By Toyota. Since, I had only 48 miles on my car I filed a claim with Bridgestone tire warranty department and they tald me they would pro rate my tire to the remainder of the warranty. Bridgestone set up appointment with this location. When I arrived at my appointed time, the server tald me appointment was set by me to replace tires not a warranty review or replacement. They offered me to purchase new tires and get a reemburstment from Bridgestone. They tald my only option was to buy new tires from them. I called Bridgestone about ten times and each time I would be referred to technical department and disconnect. Finally, i got tires from another Firestone location at 3500 s Carrolton at 25 percent discount. Very bad business when it comes to warranty. Bad bad bad business read more

I was so upset after my first experience that I didn't even bring my car in and decided to go to another place. Recently, because I bought my tires here, I had to come in again because one of my tires was suspiciously low all the time. Jack helped me and was extremely nice and patient with me. The service was also pretty quick. I am so happy it turned out to be a positive experience because they are located so close to my house and they have awesome coupons. I was able to replace my tire for $30 with a free tire rotation! I admit I scoffed a bit when I saw all the customer service recognition plaques on their wall, but i'm pretty sure Jack won all of those for them. Just don't mess it up, Firestone. read more

A five star experience for sure! Always wary of making that dreaded phone call to a business who's employees can't be bothered, i phoned this location for information on some services. I was pleasantly surprised to find on the other line a gentleman as helpful as Mike. His politeness and attention to detail won me over. When I brought my car in later that day I was greeted by Mike and treated as if Id been a customer there for years. Upon pick up, Jack was another pleasant surprise. He went over every detail and concern that I had. He made recommendations that were very on point and not up-sales at all. Great customer service, both honest and respectful. I'm done with firestone. I thought everything was fixed correctly; however, upon checking my trunk and back seat today, I found out I was wrong. Grease marks and stains all over the back seat. The trunk is almost completely disassembled. The carpeting and lining are all bent and out of place. Screws are missing, carpet is ripped....un-freaking-believable. Horrible, horrible job returning my vehicle back to me in appropriate condition. My trunk is area is now in need of repair. Ridiculous. Avoid firestone. I went in the other day for a standard oil change and a tire rotation. The manager Mike told me that I didn't need a tire rotation and that I need a brake fluid change instead. One I got it done I drove away thinking everything was golden. Within a few days I noticed that my brake light was on as if my parking brake was engaged. I parked my car for 2 days and went on a trip and when I returned I noticed some fluid by my back wheels. I opened the hood I looked at the brake fluid reservoir and I was just about empty. You could image that I was pissed as hell. I went back to Firestone and asked for Mike the manager, and told him that "you sold me the brake fluid change and that you will fix it" he said ok. It only took 15 minutes and he had 5 guys working on it. When it was completed all he said was "thank you." He didn't even apologize for almost killing me, didn't offer any compensation for my troubles. Not even a simple "sorry" I don't not recommend anyone going to Firestone on Clearview. They obviously don't car about there customers well being this place is a shit hole full of half rate ass workers who don't know what they are doing. Deals, promotions, and extra service are not shoved in your face but merely asked in an inquisitive manner relating to your current automotive needs. I stopped in on a Friday afternoon for a price on tires. I wasn't sure if I was going to buy all 4 or just replace the two that were in the most need of replacing. Don showed me the options and gave me my estimate, which was a really good price. After pondering my options, I went back Saturday morning and had them replace all four tires. Don remembered me from Friday, and remembered that I was wearing a Chicago a Cubs shirt. We then spent a few minutes talking baseball. I have been to this Firestone quite a few times in the past for 3 of my cars and for the most part, they are pretty consistent with everything. The manager Mike is always so nice when i call or come in with questions, and they don't ever try to up-sell me on things I don't need. One time in particular, I dropped my car off to them for a brake job. He called me an hour later and told me that my brakes, rotors, shoes and pads were all in great condition and that there was no reason to replace anything. I was floored. He just kept me from spending a minimum of $200 on something I didn't actually need. After that happened, I don't bring my car any where else. I know for a fact that many other repair shops wouldn't have told me that information and just did the work so they could make that money. Other than that, all of the service techs / mechanics that I have interacted with have all been very courteous and nice to me. Plus, this place being so centrally located is a huge plus. I would bet you can access this shop within 10 minutes from most, if not all, parts of Metairie. I wouldn't trust my car in just anyone's hands, and I trust these guys. Give them a shot. Update AGAIN! So I just noticed that I still have the old sticker from February 2014! They never put new one when I got my oil change and I am completely out of windshield liquid which they normally fill for me. In 14 years of owning my car I have never been out of this stuff so I don't know if they took out or since I was being a hard client they deliberately left out, which made me wonder, did they even do oil change at all???! Now I have to find time which don't have much of since dealing with a lot of medical issues, to bring to a friend mechanic to check and see if they did oil change!! OMG I hate these people!! I emailed corporate guy and he was suppose to send over to management. Going and going thru this over and over is really starting to affect my health! I am not suppose to be stressing over anything!!! But you know what God is on my side. I have taken pictures of every single thing just to make sure, just in case I need to hire an attorney! read more
