Ill start by saying the service itself was fine. Everyone was very nice. HOWEVER, my car started leaking oil immediately after because they somehow screwed up putting the oil cap back on correctly and I had 2 gaskets on there for whatever reason. I went to a different auto shop to get it fixed and cost me another $150 on top of what I paid for the oil change. Speaking that this is their day job, do better. I will be contacting them to try to get my money back and get them to pay for my other bill. read more

The inexperienced staff damaged my air filter box, which I now have to replace for $300. The oil filter was also leaking. I reported this to the shop and was advised to file a claim. I provided video evidence and a Take5 staff member even met with my mechanic to view the damage firsthand. The shop then denied my claim and stated that they noted the box was damaged when I arrived and disregarded the evidence showing the oil filter was improperly installed. I have never seen a situation handled in such an unethical way. I could not be more disappointed and recommend this establishment less. Take your vehicle to a trusted mechanic shop. read more

what a scam. I came by with a 50% coupon and got the full synthetic. they only took 20 percent off my total. when I asked, they said, alot of people have said that. then they couldn't get my air filter off and put straight water in my radiator. the water boiled off above the antifreeze and caused my car to overheat. my mechanic charged me 250 dollars to fix it. shady bunch of crooks. don't bring you vehicle here. let God and Karma deal with these swindlers. how do they get away with this mess? read more

I'd been using this business since it opened for all 3 of our vehicles, My wife went there this afternoon to get a simple oil change, I'd just replaced the coolant, Cab filter and air filter. They told her she need an additive to the oil because it was dark, REALLY!, She just ask for an oil changed no kidding the oil is dark, Also they tried to sell her an Air filter which like I said I just bought a new Cab & Air filter and installed it along with coolant. I will not be going back because this is not the first time they've tried to take advantage of my wife, They never tell me I need this stuff because I'm not gullible, They take advantage of Female customers and thats not the way to do business. This is my favorite oil change place! They are incredible to work with. I pulled in today and was met with an ice cold water for me and a juice box for my toddler. They fixed the sticker, turned off the oil light warning, checked everything, and topped off my fluid. The customer service is outstanding! They are always quick and efficient. I had an issue once--the day after I left, something was dragging. I don't know if it was the fault of the garage or me hitting something on my commute. I went back to Take 5, and they fixed what was dragging. They didn't argue fault, just jumped in and fixed the issue within 5 minutes. They told me if it came loose to come back and they'd fix it again. That level of service is why I continue coming back. read more

Exceptional Service! I recently moved to North Carolina, and consider myself lucky in that I found Take 5 on main street. I am not a trusting person, and finding a group of individuals like those at Take 5 has been a real joy. While everyone has been friendly all along, yesterday when I went in about Larry and Hunter were simply fantastic. Yes it was an oil change, and while quick and thorough, it was the attention to detail. I know nothing about cars other than people riding with me get annoyed when I make the "vroom vroom" noises.... They helped me understand what they needed to know, and what they saw as it related to my car's condition, and gave me some good advice for it's service long term. I forgot and next time I will ask them their thoughts on the "vroom vroom" sounds, so to the management of this establishment, thank you! I had visited Take 5 in High Point, NC, several times, and all went well until I took my truck in for a simple oil change on May 10, 2025. The truck is a 2001 Dodge Dakota Quadcab. The truck has never leaked a drop of oil since I bought it. I have several cars and don't always drive the truck. I used it for the first time since the oil change on May 15, 2025. To my surprise, I now have a nice oil stain in my driveway where the truck is parked. I will never again take my truck to Take 5 Oil Change in High Point, NC. I actually go out of my way to come to this Take 5 location in High Point as they are the most reliable one I've gone to. The staff is always professional and helpful. No one is rushing you even though you indeed are in a "fast" oil change business. There's some bit of wait if you are behind cars being worked on but they offer you free water as you wait. Once you are in, they ask you what you want and inform you of the different types of oil. Some motor oil is quite pricey but it pays for itself as some are long lasting, long mileage. They recommend you the best for your car and are not pushy in getting you to choose the most pricey one. The service itself is wonderful as they fully explain what they are doing and you can see their organized teamwork at hand. I usually hate to go and get my oil change, hence the reason I started going to take 5 so I didn't have to get out of my car, but the men here are incredible! They gave me 2 waters in the spam of the 5 minutes I was waiting. The actual oil change in itself took maybe 10 minutes tops and I was out of there. Can be busy on weekends, but the employees are super accommodating and quick. The only place I will go for my oil changes as a young female. Time is so precious for all of us, so I ventured into Take 5 with my F-150. I was greeted outside and given a bottle of water. I needed a quick change and new wipers. You don't get out of your car. I felt valued as a customer and then they hit me and tell me I get 25% off of everything because I am a veteran. This really brought the cost down (for those who are concerned with the higher published price). I appreciate a small business that not only values veterans but provides a substantial discount. I had an incredible experience at Take 5 Oil Change. It was a cold, Wednesday morning and there were no other customers. I was greeted immediately and was able to pull right in. The technicians all wore masks and there were about 5-6 people working on my car. This is a drivethru oil change so you stay in your car. There is always that pressure to choose the most expensive synthetic oil, but I just stick to my guns and stay with the middle of the road oil blend. I know they would prefer I spent $70 but I just don't see how my car merits that. The neat thing about this place is they top off all fluids and fill up your tires with air. They also mention that they do a transmission and safety check as well. Whatever that means. I do appreciate this and am willing to pay a little more to get all of these perks. They did ask to replace my cabin filter, but I declined. This is pretty standard at any place, and sometimes I move forward with the replacement but funds are tight right now. The staff were all very efficient and helpful. Overall the process took 5 - 10 minutes. I would definitely come here again. There are coupons on their website. I was able to use $5 off since I'm not a veteran, military personnel or first responder. They deserve more perks for sure! read more

I appreciate that you don't have to have an appointment if you're in desperate need of an oil change (like I was) and can go straight to this place without too much of a hassle. My dad would be disappointed in me if he knew I waited this long for an oil change haha, hence why I'm happy places like this exist for when you finally remember to service your car! They come to your car when you first pull up and ask what kind of service you are looking for and check all of the basic things under your hood to make sure everything is good to go. We waited a good amount of time until we were finally serviced (approx. 30-45 min). However when we finally pulled up, the girl was extremely nice and apologized for how long of a wait it was and offered us some complimentary bottles of water. They do a good job with communicating what they plan on doing to your car and ask you if you want the general - high end oil change. While changing your oil, they make sure to top off everything else and check your air in your tires as well. The only thing that I wasn't fond of was how long of a wait we had until we were serviced. However, you could tell they were making sure they were being efficient and working as fast as possible. I wouldn't recommend going around noon or closing time, as those are normally the busy hours for any business. *For COVID - The employees are wearing masks the entire time, so you have nothing to worry about. They make sure they are being polite and courteous with their customers with how they work around you because of the virus. This was the best experience I have ever had getting my oil change. As soon as I arrived someone came running out to give me a cold bottle of water and told me which bay to wait for. Even though I was 2nd in line the wait went very quickly. As I was waiting I was watching everyone work. They all worked so well together and everyone was moving so fast. I could tell they really enjoyed their job. This is so rare today! Once I got into the bay the sweetest young lady started helping me. I believe every single person working there came up to my window to check on me and ask if I needed anything. They topped off my windshield wiper fluid, offered to check my filters and even made sure I had air in my tires. At the end the manager came up and was so friendly. I departed after waiting over 30 minutes and having other customers motioned by your people to go in front of me. I went to Valvoline and it took less than 20 minutes with all bays occupied. I am not sure what the issue is, but it appears to be management. I visited this when it first opened and great service, but it is pitiful now. , and issues with your oil filters. My ford escape was leaking oil, so I took it to my mechanic and he indicated it was just a bad oil filter, then last week it happened with my son's Saturn... Same thing, bad oil filter. I happened upon this place as I was driving by. Long over due for an oil change, I figured I would see if they could ( as advertised ) change my oil in 10 minutes as I was in a bit of a hurry. I pull in and much to my surprise, I'm greeted with a bottle of cold water and a smile. He explained how it works as you stay in your car while they do the oil change. So after that, I pulled in to the bay and they went straight to work and I have to say, I've never been wow'd by a company in such a short amount of time. I truly was in and out in 10 minutes flat.
