About 2 months later I did notice a small spot in the garage, so I took my truck to D & M for an assessment. They did the repair for a fraction of what con-artist-Modern Toyota was going to charge. I got my truck back the same day...D & M will get all my business going forward for both my vehicles. I only have good things to say about these guys and highly recommend. As a side note: beware of car dealerships when going in for anything simple because the repair advisors are usually on commission. I once took my truck to Vann York for an oil change and they said that I needed to have my control arms and steering rack replaced for $2000+ which I declined. So I got two opinions from independent repair shops (of which D&M was one), and was told control arms and rack were fine. Avoid car dealerships for any repairs as they see unsuspecting people to prey on. That said, D & M saved me lots of money!!

I'm quite disappointed to be writing this. We just moved to High Point, and were hopeful to find a…read morelocal shop we could trust. Came to Newton's because of the reviews. I sat with them while my car was getting worked on. I was a bit uncomfortable with them talking about bankruptcy while I was in their presence, but did my best to ignore, and not eavesdrop. They replaced a battery on my Honda CR-V, and asked me to return the next day for the tires. In replacing the battery, the Honda computer systems did not come back online. They told me they tried to fix them, but could not, and that it would be no problem for the dealership to do so. This knocked out everything from lane assist to cruise control. The next day a sensor went off 1 minute from leaving them- the technician had not filled the tires back up after putting them on. Then I get a text from them asking if a headlamp was in my car. Finally my "no problem" reset to the computer systems cost an additional $114 at the Honda dealership. Please be aware of this potential, if you are considering letting them change your battery. When I texted to let them know this had happened, their response was offensive to the point that I felt compelled to let others know of their customer service.

I still think you should have maintained a professional standpoint and returned the parts before a bad review like this forced you to. I brought my car to Norris Automotive because it was local and my vehicle had to be towed. From the very beginning, this turned into one of the most frustrating and dishonest service experiences I have ever had. I was told my car was flooded, needed a tune up and a new battery. The estimate was already steep at $600, but since the car was already there, I agreed, thinking at least the work would be done properly. Then I get the call that car is ready, the total is now $705. Annoying, but I stayed hopeful that the extra cost meant quality work. I was wrong. I pick up my car, pay the bill, and the receipt says I was charged for new spark plugs and a new battery. That's it?? When I get home, I pop the hood and to my surprise, the same corroded battery is still sitting there. On top of that, my engine cover is now cracked, something that was not damaged when I dropped the car off. I call immediately. Ryan puts me on hold and comes back with, "If you come back tomorrow, we will put the battery in." No explanation. No apology. No accountability for charging me for work that clearly was not done. At that moment, all trust was gone. I would not trust this shop to put air in my tires. I told them I wanted my battery money refunded. Ryan says I have to bring my card back in. On the drive over, I notice I was also charged an environmental and supply fee, something I would understand if they had actually replaced and disposed of a battery, but they did not. When I walk in, Ryan tries to play it casual and asks for my card. I ask him directly, "So I am paying $500 for four spark plugs?" He looks me dead in the eye and says yes, $110 for the spark plugs and $290 for labor. Oh, you mean the same labor that was supposed to include installing the battery they never installed. Absolutely unbelievable. I also ask about the environmental fee, he only offers half back.. Wtf? This place charged me for work that was not done, damaged my vehicle, raised the price after the fact, and offered no reasoning other than it was "an honest mistake". So you admit you have no quality control? If you value your money, your car, and your peace of mind, do not go here. Receipts of initial battery charge and refund attached. Stay clear.
