Infinite, the store manager arrives finds out it's WAAAYY too MUCH OIL. Long horrible story short TWO HOURS LATER we get back to Valoline. I see Asst. Mgr. Shan and ask her if she hung up on me. "Yes, I sure did. I didn't mess up your car. You don't blame me." As I walked away, I told her she was very unprofessional. She began saying some kind of slang, "I build'em up and knock'em down baby" " I'm the real" so aggressive and demonstrative that the manager had to the step in front of her and calm her down. Earlier this week I made an appointment 5 days in advance with another, locally-owned, auto repair shop only to be disappointed. The other shop treated me as if I had dropped-in unannounced and wanted new tires the next day. I left and went to Merchant's. At Merchant's not only was I treated like a valuable customer, they were able to accommodate me without asking or appearing put-out. As a result they got my 1200.00 business! I have read other reviews that are negative and I am at a loss. I have never experienced the treatment described in those reviews. The only thing I can think of is I have done my research before I go, I know what I want, and I give them plenty of time to do their work - usually dropping off the car on Friday night and picking it up the next afternoon. I did have one unsettling experience when they were still on Parris Ave: while picking-up my car from a routine emissions inspection I was presented with a list of recommended service items totaling over a thousand dollars. I didn't take them up on this - I know what I need and when I need it and this felt a little like a scam. It may have been an honest attempt to drum-up business on things that were not 100% up to their designed abilities but, clearly did not require immediate attention.
