I wish there was a lower star to choose from. They advertise on being able to offer fast service. Usually they are understaffed and it faster if you come back at a later date. They have three bays and usually 4 or 5 guys working. What's odd is several guys work on my car at the same time. So usual if three cars are being worked on all of the service guys work on all of them at the same time. I went buy Thursday the 30 April and they were understaffed. I went back Friday and they had nearly 20 service people there. I asked several times to check my tires. They did eventually. A lot of confusion. My main gripe was the oil change cost $183.00 Much more than before. I complained and it was reduced to $153.00. I need to find a more reasonable and organized place to have my truck serviced. read more

First, pay attentiion to these reviews. This is a very bad oil shop. This company has Kids running it. So if you have a problem with one of them it will not get resolved. Very rude. I waited 45min before anyone started on my car. When I asked Austin Tyler Hood, whatever his name is, about their procedure, he immediately has an attitude. THE MANAGER SAID CORPORATE TRAINS THEM TO POINT TO THEIR NAME AND SAY HERE IT IS IF YOU CAN'T SPELL IT RIGHT. After an 1hr waiting and other cars leaving, I was sent on my way without paperwork. Saturday crew was attentive and professional. Came for an oil change and inspection. Everytime I come here they try to upsell these outrageous flushes for over 200 dollars for a 5 min job. Well the employee said it would take 5 min. I just need an oil change!!! Paid for everything to find out there inspection computer was broken and had to have my inspection money refunded. Returned on Sunday for an inspection. I was informed it was fixed and directed me into the bay by a couple of young adults(only 2 on a Sunday). To sit and wait for 45 min. I was not informed I would be waiting that long. Inspection was finally completed and now they don't have ink for the printer and cannot print a legible pc of paper for my inspection. Waited an additional 20 min for them to shake up the ink in the printer because they don't have an ink refill on hand. Still didn't get it printed! Hour and a half for a 10 min job. Now I have to go somewhere else to get it printed! I will not be returning to this location! Frustrating experience to say the least. read more

Got here at 11:00 this morning got waved right in, Rony was very nice, polite, and a pleasure to do business with. Had no problems or issues... Rony got my state emissions test done in about 15 mins. They are all abotu plus selling, rather shameless about it. Took my year-old vehicle with 9,400 miles to them for an oil and filter change. TECH told me I needed a coolant flush and change, on a new car with 9400 miles. Also tried to steer me to replacing the air filter. If you go, don't buy anything else without a second opinion. read more

Seemed a little pricey for an oil change. I think it was around $150 for an outlander and not even with the more expensive oil. The staff however were all great. I came in literally 10-15 min before closing and no one had attitude about it. Very courteous and explained everything in much detail. Was not pushy. I think I got wipers in that $150 too. read more

It's a shame. I've been going to this same station for the past 3 years. So when it was time to get an oil change again I saw a sign that said "we accept competitor's coupons" Ok cool. I find one of the coupons for this store not even a competitors. The gentlemen says I see you had X done last time. Would you like the same? Yes sir please, I also have a coupon for $25 off from your website. He gives me a new price that is only $10 off the previous price before the coupon. I was confused and he attempted to explain it. At this point I'm frustrated because I was going to pay more here because they're always good to me. However I don't like pricing games. I said well nevermind I'm going to head down the road and get the cheaper option. Sorry but thank you. He said what if I can do the price at X? Now I'm incredibly angry and I know you don't care about 1 little customer but I'll never go back. I don't like pricing games. Coupons? Great! Make them make sense. If I don't like the price you shouldn't be able to just change it. The price should be the price. Not see if you can get every single dime somebody is willing to pay. Very inefficient. Why would you have only one or two people actually performing the oil changes (working on one car at a time) on a Saturday (the busiest day of the week for these sort of tasks)? If you are told that you have other vehicles waiting in queue in front of you, you're better off going elsewhere. read more

I'm not usually one to leave a bad review and it takes a lot for me to write one....but it's been about 3 years of bad service to lead up to this point. The Take 5's in Fort Worth, TX are about as bad as they get. Ever year for the past few years I have had to make multiple trips to multiple locations for inspection due to their "machines being down" or their "inspector isn't on site and they aren't sure when they'd return". Every time I get an oil change, I've never paid the same price and always get told something different about what they are charging me for. They're always trying to get me to buy air filters when I change mine out myself and claim they're "dirty" even when I've changed them the week before I've taken my car in. I've always chalked it up to the fact that I'm a female, let's be honest. Today, I went in after having a failed inspection two weekends prior to have my car reinspected after fixing some parts and was told that I needed to wait for the cars in front of me to be completed before they could get to me (30 minutes after my scheduled appointment). After continuously giving them the benefit of the doubt again and again, I think today hit the nail in the coffin. August 14 2022: oil lamp light came on in my 2012 Mazda CX-9 August 15 2022: Husband took car to Take 5 #508: 8624 S. Hulen street. We were told that the oil pressure sensor was bad by service advisor: Derek. He stated that they would be able to change the sensor. I received a phone call approximately 2-3 hours later from Mr. Alexander stating that my car was no longer "driveable" because the engine block was cracked. Derek stated that the engine block cracked while the sensor was being placed. Derek stated that the engine block cracked because my car was leaking oil prior to us bringing it in to Take 5. My car was completely operational prior to my husband driving to Take 5. Derek stated that it was not Take 5's fault and I need to contact customer service. I called customer service and was directed to voice mail. I left several messages with no return call, emails or any type of response I spoke with their district manager: Mr. Hamilton on August the 16th and he stated that from his standpoint that my car had poor maintenance, was leaking oil which led to the engine block cracking. I told him that prior to changing the sensor, the mechanics did not alert us that the car was leaking oil which may result in the engine block cracking. Mr. Hamilton told me to say what I wanted, because he is denying the claim anyway. I spoke again with Mr. Hamilton on August 19th and he again reiterated that he was denying our claim. On July 30, 2022: I had my tires replaced at Firestone and had a service check at that time there were no mechanical issues, no evidence of an oil leak. I get my car serviced at Firestone and I spoke with their certified mechanics and showed them the pictures I had taken of the cracked block, the part used by Take 5 and the actual part printed up by Mazda and Firestone. From the certified mechanics professional opinion: Take 5 used a sensor that was not designed for my car resulting in the thread being stripped and the amount of torque used on the sensor caused the engine block to crack. A part that is not replaceable and means that my car needs a new engine placed. I have left several messages with Take 5 and still have not received a response regarding this situation. They are always very professional and helpful and so kind. Once it was even suggested that I go elsewhere to purchase a part for them to install due to my financial budget.... Horrible experience. Made me wait long time in the hot sun in the vehicle line, after I told them right away that I needed voluntary emissions test, which is a standard Texas procedure. When it was finally my turn they had refused me because I had Montana insurance, being from out of state. These unprofessional, clueless people are not even aware of basic TX testing procedures. I was connected to their rude, yelling, nasty, yelling at me, disrespectful "manager" who was talking over me on the phone, talking to me like to a 2nd class citizen (I know why), and lied to my face that TX-issued insurance was required for any emission testing. I had called TX Department of Safety, Inspection Division and spoke to multiple people there, and they all had confirmed that TX-issued insurance is not required for voluntary emission inspection / test (it's not the same procedure as mandatory state inspection), but this individual did not want to listen to me and denied me service anyway. I had no such problems with other places I had called, and had the test done, on 2 vehicles, the other places were either familiar with voluntary emissions inspection, or were willing to contact TX Department of Safety to confirm the insurance requirements. Dept of Safety suggested I file a formal complaint against them. This awful location had wasted a lot of my time, and had caused aggravation of my disabling health issue because of stress, I would not trust them with my vehicle for anything, plus they do not respect you or your time. read more

I have a company car and service it regularly. Today I was in the neighborhood and needed an oil change. I arrived 10 minutes early to get my car serviced. I stood at the counter with my paperwork out for 20 minutes. They pull my car on and still I wait. Finally the guy comes over and says he doesn't do lease plan cars. Seriously!?!? If he would have taken my information when I came on instead of jacking around straightening paperwork and talking to the guys on the shop, I could have went elsewhere. So frustrating. A representative came in and apologized for my long wait. They comped both services for my inconvenience. I was pretty stunned. Took my car to be inspected yesterday. It's a 2018 model with less than 20,000 miles. They informed me my windshield wipers would not pass inspection. They replaced them and I asked to see the old ones. No imperfections whatsoever. No tears nothing. They still looked brand new. Very skeptical business practices. Will NEVER return. read more

This place absolutely sucks. I came to this location often when it was Kwik Car but not so much now. Since they are literally in my neighborhood, I wanted to support them. The customer service is ridiculous. I could not even get air for a flat tire. 2 workers and a manager or owner just walking around me. One of them was just flat out flirting with a woman that had walked up. Ten minutes I sit here waiting and no one comes back to fill the tire. Hell the manager watched me leave.
