You have heard the saying.."All of my children have paws", well now that my two -two legged children have left the nest/den/cave...I now have five cats -plus one large dog(who sometimes thinks he is a cat). So, when "mama" needs to get away for a weekend....I call Tails to Scales for tender loving care! Cats really don't need a lot ...just food & a clean litter box to keep them totally happy. However, my canine loves -loves-loves the attention & care that Tails to Scales provides. By having Jenn come to my house to play with him & give him her undivided attention...and allowing him to "be a dog" cannot compare to any kennel that is in our area. She has taken in my mail, straightened my kitchen when I have left it in disarray on my way out of town...and left me notes on what she has done...and how the "babies" have behaved (or not). I would NEVER consider chosing any alternative to Tails To Scales. If she ever leaves the area..I will just have to NEVER plan a vacation again...lol. Jennifer from Tails To Scales has been a life saver. She cared for my sick 17 year old cat whenever we were out of town. Cybil wasn't the friendliest cat to strangers and required special medicine. Amazingly, she would let Jennifer give her the medicine when no one else could get near her. We've since had to put Cybil down and now have two new cats. Jennifer's been great with them too. She really cares about your pets and their well being. It gives me great peace of mind when I can't be home to know that she's watching them. My cats get stressed if they have to leave the house, so I love having the option to leave them at home. I also appreciate that she leaves a note each day she's at my house letting me know how things went. Jennifer is awesome! She really cares about your pets. Whenever we go out of town and can't take our dogs we use her to watch our pets. Our dogs absolutely love her! Anytime they hear her Blazer pull into our driveway they go crazy. Jennifer is personable, friendly and really cares about the dogs. She will take them for walks in any kind of weather. She truly is dedicated. Whenever possible she will take them for car rides, have them at her house to sleep, or play with other dogs that she may be taking care of at the time. When it isn't possible for her to have the dogs stay at her house she will check in on them late at night and then be over early in the morning to let them out. Tails to Scales is definitely the next best thing to having your animals with you when you go away. read more

We have hired Jennifer B. from Tails to Scales many times in the past few years to watch our pets while we are away or just to provide noon time walks when we are not able to get home. She always follows our directions explicitly and leaves a note as to what she did and how the dogs were doing. She even took extra special care of one of our dogs who was ill and had frequent seizures. We always have trusted her to give the best of care. She believes that dogs should get proper exercise and always takes plenty of time to accomplish this. We recommend her over taking our dogs to the kennel any time. Our dogs will agree with this. One of the things that I love about Jen is her diverse background. Can't find too many people that can care for exotics. With birds and reptiles they often can fall sick without giving notice, with Jen's experienc,e I felt safe leaving my animals in her hands. She also took two of my dogs into her house, they loved romping around with her critters! I have two small dogs that I could never imagine putting in a strange kennel when I have to leave town. That would be too much stress for them and guilt for me.
