I had two suits altered there. I use to be in the custom uniform business. I have witnessed thousands of alterations. The suits did not fit well and work was mediocre. I brought a bridesmaid dress here to be shortened (from full length to knee length). While it was inexpensive, it was not done straight and, in some spots, the lining was longer than the dress (see photos). After reading the positive reviews, I took a bridesmaids dress here for alterations (just needed shortening). The service was great and done in record time - I took it in on a Thursday and I think she had it done by Monday. Not needing an appointment is a plus... but twice I left work to bring in a dress, and was surprised to find the shop closed in the middle of a Tuesday (it was hard enough to find a time to get here during the limited business hours). I definitely suggest calling before you go to make sure it's open. read more

Shoddy work. I took two simple pieces to her to have changed on my army dress uniform; have some wrist braids switched (asked to do the same they were before, and make sure they were straight and not crooked), and to change out the band on a saucer-style cap. Both were horrible work. The wrist braids are wavy in appearance, and instead of stitching it within the detail of the braid, she took some thread and sewed it from within the braid to outside the edges and into the sleeve. It looks like it was done by hand (not machine) and I can get my fingers under parts of it! On the hat band, it wasn't done anything like the previous one and the material is already starting to separate. Again, done by hand, and looks completely unprofessional. I'm going to have to get all of this redone by an actual professional tailor, but I would rather do that than take it back to this hobby-like tailor for a second chance. I brought my dress to get hemmed at the bottom and not only was it extremely expensive, when I went to pick it up the dress was very wrinkly. When I'm already paying way more that I should be, I expect it to be done correctly. read more

I took my daughters prom dress to be altered and I can't believe how horrible it turned out. The hem is completely crooked and the top netting overlay that was cut is so jagged it is noticeable from faraway. She also added this black netting to the underneath of the dress that we did not ask for and have no clue why it was done. I don't understand how she is still in business. read more

The website doesn't necessarily say but they do alter suits. I'm thin so I feel like almost all my suits feel like they make me look like Steve Harvey. Needed it brought in on the sides and pants hemmed. Did a great job and was very knowledgeable when it came to any question I asked. Also, she tailored some of my shirts as well, so now they fit me perfectly. The only downside is the place is kinda small and the hours are tough to work around. read more

I had two bridesmaid dress that needed to be altered in a fairly short period of time. Expecting it was going to be an arm and a leg for both dresses, I was shocked when it totaled $42!! AND it was done in less than a week! The work was impeccable and I would most certainly return with my tailoring again to this location. I have taken mostly pants to Jaime and one bridesmaids dress and have had no issues. She's fairly quick, I just submitted 4 pairs of pants on Sat and she said she'll have it ready by Thursday. Awful tailor. I took my bridesmaid dress to her store and needed it hemmed and fixed in the bust area b/c I was falling out of the dress. She told me it would be $84 dollars. I went back a week later and tried on the dress. The hem was fine but the back of the dress was now puckering in the straps and my bra straps were completely visible. I asked her if she could fix the straps and said it was not like this before. She sewed the front too high so it was pulling on the fabric in back contributing to the problem. She was visibly annoyed and instead of cutting the stitching that she had done in the front, she ripped it apart right in front of me putting a little hole in the front of the dress! She said she couldn't fix the back. Save yourself time and money and go up the street to Chestnut Hill to Sue's Custom Tailoring. I went there in tears after this fun experience and they were able to fix the dress so the straps were not pulling after Jamie said there was nothing she could do and ripped the front. Bottom line: do not go here!! read more

Terrible work. I brought a dress there to have it hemmed approx 2 inches. When I first picked up the dress the front was considerably longer than the back of the dress and the liner of the dress hung down below the hem in the rear. Then when she "fixed it" the dress was too short to wear and the liner hung below the hem in the front. An expensive dress I can't even wear. read more

Took a bridesmaid dress in for alterations, she did a fantastic job. I will agree with another poster, down side are the hours and she doesn't have an answering machine telling you if she's closed - Wanted to see if she could do more work and drove over on my lunch break 1/7/15 about 12:20 this should be a normal business day according to her web site, but she was closed (not the first time this has happened), so be sure to call before hand!! read more
