Before touring any daycare systems, I was very hesitant to take such a young infant to a school/daycare. I had toured other schools in the area and met with in-home nannies. It wasn't until I met with Ms. Zerghon for a tour that I finally found a place where I knew my baby would be safe. Zerghon met me with warm and open arms, explained the Montessori theory, and even allowed my daughter and me to stay for an hour after we toured as we can familiarize ourselves for a bit. Both of my children stayed with Zerhgon's daycare throughout the pandemic until they could enroll in a formal TK system, for a total of est 3 1/2 years. Ms. Zerghon is kind, warm, and nurturing, and has treated both of my daughters and the other children like family! Not only do I know that my children are treated like family and well fed with warm homemade meals, but they have also learned so much! Both of them, by age 3, could write their names, write their alphabet, and do basic arithmetic! They were over-qualified for TK, in my humble opinion. I cannot express the gratitude I have for the loving care and teachings Ms. Zerghon has bestowed on my children. She is one of the sweetest, brightest, most caring teachers out there and we need more of her in the world. My children are 5 and 6 now and still talk about their fond memories at Zerghon's Daycare. Please. If you are seeking daycare look no further than this gem. We agreed that my son would start right after his first birthday and I was very excited and hopeful that we would be a good fit. My son was born during a pandemic and has some anxiety being away from mom for too long because he's so used to being at home...but he generally does well. On his first day, he did relatively well and I got photos of him engaging with the other kids and napping. On his second day, after being there for an hour, I got a call to pick my son up because he was crying. The assistant said they checked him for fever and that he was fine but then went on to say that they just didn't think he was a good fit for the program. She then proceeded to say that my application was cancelled and wanted to know if I wanted my payment back in cash or money order. No plan to work with him to help him transition, no concern for if there was an underlying issue, no nothing. Just come get your baby and don't bring him back because he is crying. I'm just so disappointed, hurt and offended at the idea that a 12 month old baby gets kicked out of daycare on his second day for crying for an hr. Especially when Zerghon herself told me how other kids in the program had hard transitions and ended up working out over time! I mean, isn't that a typical process for babies? What makes my baby different? I can't help but think there is other motivating factors at play here. My baby fell asleep in the car while we were driving home by the way. He was crying because he was tired.

Jaime and her team are amazing they're caring, patient, and truly treat every child like family. In just six weeks, we've already noticed a big difference in our son. He's only a year and a half, and he's starting to put small words together! We can tell he's learning and growing every day because of the love and attention he gets here. We recently moved from the Peninsula and were nervous about finding a daycare we could really trust, but Mimi's Grasshopper has gone above and beyond. Emiliano loves it here, and so do we. Currently our youngest daughter attends and has been going there since she was 18 months old (she's now 4.5). Both of our girls love teacher Jamie and the rest of the MeeMee's staff so much! The children are so well taken care of and have so much fun when they are there. The house has a classroom with tons of toys and a large, beautiful backyard with a swing set/ play structure and tons of other activities to do outside. I love that they are learning through play. I am so appreciative of the staff at MeeMee's for loving my kids and taking such great care of them. It truly is a peace of mind knowing that your kids are safe and taken care of AND that they actually love going to preschool when mom and dad have to work. Prior to signing up Miss Tina and Miss Shirley greeted us and out little guy with open arms. Immediately we felt very comfortable with the people and the place. I could only describe it as a "mama's house" feeling. As the year progressed we noticed that the care providers we very active in the kids' care but did not hover. They allowed the kids to manage minor conflicts and then taught them discipline and courtesy so the conflicts wouldn't happen again. Miss Shirley was also well versed in the Benicia K and TK system so she went to workshops all the time to stay updated. She wanted to make sure the kids were prepared for their elementary school endeavors. And for the families they were even more welcoming, holding family events throughout the year to keep everyone involved. I have an older child who went to preschool elsewhere and families tended to keep to themselves at events with minor interaction and participation. At Tender Hearts, families participated in pot lucks and willingly made donations to help enhance the kids' experience. Their pre-care and after-care was just another huge bonus for working families! And now that my son is in TK, I saw that him and other Tender Hearts students were amongst the most cooperative and behaved kids the first days. I am very confident that the values he learned at Tender Hearts will continue to guide him through elementary school, which he is well prepared for!

The app was great to see pictures of what the kids were doing throughout the day and her food, naps, and nap time. A few things they could really improve on: Communication! There were a few times I had reached out regarding a billing issue and it always took a few days to get resolved. Also there was a miscommunication about my daughter's diaper bag not being brought into the daycare one time and them having no proper supplies for her, but her diaper bag was there the entire time and I had to call to make sure they were aware it was dropped off. For general questions I would email and not receive communication back or it would take days or even a phone call at certain points. Also- the app. It works great but sometimes the updates were slow. Also, expect to get the daily report hours after pick up. It's great to get the final report, but I wish it was sooner to see the nap time window and what they ate so the evening routine can be adjusted around what happened in the day. With all this being said, our first experience in daycare was a positive one. They helped myself and my husband feel comfortable dropping our daughter off and always did their best to accommodate our every need. We will miss KinderCare and would likely be staying in the program if we weren't relocating. Rose, Mary, Liz, and every other teacher my daughter interacted with- thank you for your work with her and making it such a great experience for us. Your work is not unnoticed!

She truly has become family over the years and always goes the extra mile for her "kids". It was really hard finding someone to trust with our tiny baby and I cannot express how happy we were to find Ms Bettye. During our 1st encounter it was like catching up with an old friend and I knew this is where we belonged. I am tearing up writing this because of the impact she has made on our family, its truly immeasurable. We also recommended her to our friends and family and had 3 kids join us and they all get that Nana BJ influence now as well! At drop off you can smell the homemade food cooking which was a huge bonus not having to worry about meals, she makes sure everyone is eating and eating well. The day is very structured and she really makes sure everyone is learning and having fun in a safe way. Now that my daughter is in big school, she is extremely advanced compared to her peers. The staff are warm and attentive to not just my son, but our whole family, including little sister who we can't wait to enroll as well. Administration is communicative, the curriculum is engaging, and it's just a warm and lovely place to be a part of. I also appreciate that they regularly have events open to the whole family so you feel like they are invested in knowing your whole family. The school is very diverse in both the children that attend and the staff as well, which is incredibly important to us. We are choosing to keep our son with Noah's Ark an additional year, rather than going to our local schools pre-K program because we have been so happy with it. 100% recommend to everyone.

When picking him up, I always observed him left by himself to play in a little corner while the other kids would gather together in a separate part of the classroom. One day, one of the teacher's aids called my son "abnormal" and suggested I have him checked out. At the time, I had an existing appointment for him to be seen for an autism diagnosis - which has since been confirmed. The main teacher also said that the preschool wasn't a good fit for him after I had asked about facilitated play to encourage more socialization. They were not willing to put in any extra effort for my child with special needs. Fast forward, I ended up taking him out of this preschool and brought him to Napa Junction Elementary preschool which was an integrated class for autistic and neurotypical kids. It was inclusive and the teachers and aids were excellent. It was truly a judgement free atmosphere and my son has been thriving ever since. Being a Christian school, I thought Noah's Arc would be more inclusive of kids with different needs and judgement free. This was not the case. I don't usually like to write bad reviews but hopefully it will help parents decide whether or not it is a "right fit" if their child is autistic.

My son is 3, and he has not had much experience around children this age. Walking in he was adamant about not going to preschool, however once there my shy son quickly began playing, he seemed very comfortable although not his usual talkative self (like I mentioned he is painfully shy) . I loved the different play areas, the fact that not only do they have a yard but also have an upstairs gym to play when the weather is not agreeable. I have driven by this church many times but never thought that there was a preschool there until I came upon a Craigslist ad. The Teacher, Mrs. Linda is very warm, easy to talk to and explain their program thoroughly, so much so that I had very few questions since all of them were answered. There seemed to be a lot of art work from the children, various projects and the main room seemed welcoming. Lots of toys, books, and things to keep children busy. I immediately took a liking to this place. She explained in detail day to day activities, and I kept thinking "Jr will be busy throughout the day here". Walking out of the first meeting I knew this was were we were enrolling our son, I am delighted that he will get to spend some time with Mrs. Linda, and can not wait to hear stories of his first experiences at preschool.
