Miran Farm - Lush!

Miran Farm

Miran Farm is an friendly, family-oriented farm dedicated to top notch horse care, learning, and…read morefun! I started riding lessons here in October 2009, and I'm happy to say I now own a Paint horse who was trained by Fareed Miran, which means I've got a smart, amazing, all-around do-it-all horse. Fareed works hard to ensure the horses, cattle, and property are taken care of, and depends on open and honest communication between the boarders and himself, so that everyone's expectations are clear. He strives for this to be a "no drama" barn. I've learned so much over the past 10 years being part of Miran Farm. About riding, certainly: barrel racing, pole bending, bareback, obstacle courses, team roping, working cows, and even enough English riding to get me through my riding adventures in Ireland! About equine behavior as well, through having the opportunity to ride different horses in lessons past, or working with Fareed directly in lessons with my own horse, or just "hanging with the herd" when I turn my boy out and observe their dynamics. But what I have learned about human behavior and interactions is especially invaluable, particularly from a business perspective, regarding the ingredients for and challenges of running a successful boarding facility. I've observed that the most appreciated boarders are the ones who: don't gossip or complain behind the scenes; give their horses adequate care and attention; respect everyone's safety, property, and space whether in the arenas or in the barn aisles; and communicate their concerns directly to Fareed so that the issue can be dealt with reasonably. Conversely, I've observed that the boarders who gossip, complain, ride unsafely, behave in underhanded ways (try to lure fellow boarders to other barns), and/or don't see to their horse's needs (keep up with farrier visits and veterinary care, pay their board on time) are the boarders that no one is to sorry to see go because they are poison to the barn environment. A "no drama" barn and people like this don't mix. I feel very blessed to be part of the Miran Farm family, and hope to be for many years to come.

He STOLE all of my property. I contacted legal advice and what he did was ILLegal and I should of had him arrested. He with held my property saying I owed him a months board which was false. It's right off of Rt. 50 where the two lanes merge to one. Barn Manger, Holly, lives right on the…read moreproperty so there is always someone there to watch the horses 24/7. Fields are incredibly spacious, open, and offer plenty of space for horses and ponies to run and graze. It is great for horses that need to release some of that pent up energy. However, there is also smaller fields available for horses that need to be turned out alone. Also, for ponies and horses that need it, there is "Fat Field" for equines that need restricted grazing. The main back field is a mixed herd. Ample shade is provided by a section of forest that the horses can go to. There is also a lake there. This is mainly a field boarding place so if you're looking for a large (we're talking HUGE) field for your horse, you need to check out this place. The people and atmosphere is nice and a really big plus. I have been to many barns in the area and have found this barn to be the friendliest and most inclusive. Everyone is welcomed, everyone is friendly towards one another, everyone is like family. There is little to no drama. There are no show-off know-it-all Dressage Queens. There are no flashy, snobby Hunter princesses. There are helpful equestrians of all disciplines (about equal numbers of Western and English riders) that truly love and care for all of the horses here. It's a diverse barn that has everyone from trail riders and gaited horse riders to Hunters and Jumpers and everyone in between. Everyone is welcome!! It's a diverse group! Lessons, leases, boarding, and showing are definitely affordable! Holly is a knowledgeable horsewoman and her students develop into well-rounded equestrians. She does not push you to show if you do not want to and teaches all ages and all levels. She works with you and breaks everything down for you so that you understand the "why's" of riding. She has a wide selection of ponies and horses for all abilities and offers flexible scheduling. She teaches both western and english lessons. If you are interested in showing, Holly runs a successful show team made up of both leasors and lesson students. It is a supportive, helpful group that makes showing a fun and low-stress experience for everyone. Some of the amenities include an outdoor ring, outdoor cemented wash stall, large fields, numerous small fields, trails, and ample space for tack storage! Join the CCF family! You won't regret it! They have a facebook page as their website. Search for "Croney's Corner Farm" to see pictures!

The whole neighborhood is frustrated with them and the horses getting loose from broken fences. If you love your horses I'd look around .
