I allotted plenty of time based on how long the trail ride was supposed to be. When we arrived, Kenny was nowhere to be found. We waited FORTY-FIVE MINUTES. We tried to kill time, wandering around the barn. I was appalled at the state of it - the interior and all the gear seemed extremely shabby, neglected and dirty. The horses were moderately cared for, but nowhere near as well as I've seen at other stables nearby. When they told us to choose a riding helmet, I wanted to die as I attempted to sift through the wall of spiderwebs... (see picture). When Kenny finally arrived, he gave a lame excuse that no one called to tell him we'd arrived; this in spite of the fact that we had a scheduled appointment time and several attempts to reach him - by both the staff and me - went straight to voicemail. Things finally turned around when I hopped on Sherman (my white horse w/ black spots). He was a greedy little thing and ate up all the grass but he was a great horse. Steven immediately put ppl on the horses and taught us while we were riding. He was a straight to it teacher and I liked that. He definitely knows what he's doing when it comes to animals.
