For this go around, my daughter and I ate strictly Nigiri. We had Citrus Soy Salmon, Garlic Ponzu Salmon, Smoked Salmon, Salmon Belly, Seared Tuna Crunch, Eel, Spicy Salmon, Shrimp, Yellowtail, & Umami Oil Salmon. This is definitely the route to go when doing the AYCE option to maximize the value! Food came out quickly and the staff were super nice and attentive. Fish was fresh and everything was so tasty! Loved the birthday singing and sign! The boys got free ice cream for their birthday celebration! Restaurant was busy but not too busy where you have to wait for a seat. Definitely a place to go to for some good sushi.

Service was quick, and they checked in often to take additional orders. I'd recommend ordering any baked or fried rolls early in the meal since those seemed to take the longest to come out. My favorite item was the special of the day: spicy garlic tuna carpaccio, served thinly sliced with crunchy garlic oil on top. The kids really enjoyed the udon, edamame, and California rolls, and there are plenty of options for picky eaters. Price-wise, I'd say it's in line with other sushi spots. Our total came to $230 for the five of us (three adults and two kids), which worked out to about $46 per person including drinks. If you come hungry and ready to make the most of the AYCE option, it's worth it. If you're a lighter eater or only stick to one or two types of sushi, they also have a regular menu with individually priced items.

Being in the moment and listening to the chefs explain each dish was so exciting. Everything is locally caught and some flavored to perfection. Even the sake, high recommended to pair with the Japanese lager. Everything was perfect ! I had mentioned I don't eat dairy so I got a different dessert than my boyfriend. It was the most delicious ending to an epic meal. I honestly can't wait to get back home and tell all my friends and family about it. The place was right next to a tree covered by tree branches it was truly a beautiful design. The server and chefs were so kind and well informed. Really tied in the experience.

We arrived at the location (tucked away) off the main road. Like a lot of the good things in Valle I suppose. We soon realized we were the only two dining with the chef this night. Which meant full attention full service just for the two of us. Talk about a treat. Our waiter mentioned how the omakase would work and soon started us with drinks and water. What came after was a dream, a full experience of tastes, and adventure, and exquisiteness. A really good selection of fish from the local Ensenada region. I was in awe every time a new dish come out. I lost count, and found myself trying to savor every moment every bite, and then having a moment of clarity and asking "what course are we on?" "how many are left?" I didn't worry to much as every single stage of omakase was magnificent, beautifully presented and something I highly suggest you do, if you have the opportunity to. If you get lucky and end of being the only customers for night, take advantage of it. As, opportunities like this, are rare. TOSHI is the best!
