There wasn't any restaurants anymore, but staff said " we have food trucks" which is nice but the lines are long and they never move in the hot sun! We waited to get into the stadium to order food. I went to the Great Italian sausage stand, and I got the Italian sausage with peppers and onions. I asked for marinara they didn't have it. The bun was so hard, you barely could eat it and that was $17.12. Then, I ordered at the main concession stand the pepper poppers, blue moon beer and bag of peanuts that was $36.81. The poppers were good and I would have them again!! Later, I went back for another blue moon and soft service chocolate ice cream in a cone. Drum roll please... $26.17. Everyone asked me for a tip everywhere I went! It's earned not asked for. At these prices, I hope you pay your staff well!!! Maybe this is why I don't go to the ace's games, who can afford it. He also went above and beyond bringing water to refresh our dogs with drinking, but also to pour over our dogs to cool them down. He was amazing at making sure no dog suffered heat stroke. Alex is the reason we will bring our dog again. It means a lot to have someone care so much about each individual pup and ensure the health and safety of these dogs. I happened to be stopping by for the annual Labor Day tent sale, which is a great way to get some new ski/board gear for a huge discount. The selection was very good. I was able to grab two new pairs of skis this season for a great price, 50% off! Both the manager who helped me out and the salesperson were super helpful and courteous. The salesperson who helped me gave great advice. The manager even helped me out with a price adjustment on a pair I had previously purchased, but it ended up being on a better sale during the Labor Day event. One thing that I wish they would consider doing is offering a discount on services if you are buying both skis and bindings from BlueZone. Most shops offer free or heavily discounted mounts if you buy everything from them. BlueZone charges full price, although I bought two pairs of skis and bindings from them and had them mount both. Bummer! Overall, my experience was good. Many reviews mention issues with customer service, which wasn't my experience, but like anywhere in Tahoe, you have veteran-level full-time employees and seasonal employees who probably just don't care as much.

As for the jacket, I was able improve my focus on what color, style, and fit I was looking for. That will probably seal the deal at my next shopping appearance at here, there, or at REI.

First visit to Greater Nevada Field and wow, what an amazing experience! Came early and left after…read morefireworks, and the parking and traffic in and out were trouble-free. Great traffic control and good stadium layout. The stadium was large, but not too large, with great views, lots of different concessions, and fun shopping (Archie was in the team shop!)--all without massive crowds. And even though it had rained earlier, the seats were completely dry. As an added bonus, the bathroom was also nicer than I expected, with an attendant keeping everything super clean. Maybe because there were so many specialty options, the basic hotdogs here weren't quite as good as other places I've tried. And the Beloved's pretzel was good but the cheese dip was bland and too thin for it, although service was quick and efficient. Next time I'll try a brat or chorizo. Lines were very manageable. Best of all, strong hitters and great pitching led to an Aces victory in a very satisfying, fun-filled game against the River Cats (9 hits means a free Blaze pizza...don't forget to take a pic of the promo code)! Capped off by some really amazing fireworks, this was definitely a fun evening out that needs to be put on repeat!

What a Blast at the Reno Aces!…read more We were invited by some friends to go to a Reno Aces game, and what a blast we had! They had extra tickets, and we ended up with Floor 1 seats right behind home plate--talk about the best seats in the house! It was Family Day, so the hot dogs were only $1.50, and they were hot, fresh, and so good! The Aces were playing the El Paso Chihuahuas, and even though the Aces didn't get the win, it was still such a fun and exciting game. Where we were sitting, we were blessed to have Richard & Kathie, our wonderful hosts in our seating section. Richard was also working the area, keeping an eye on where the foul balls were landing and making sure everyone was having a great time. Throughout the game, there were always team members getting up on different stages during the little breaks, encouraging the crowd to cheer, sing, and dance. At one point, they played the Electric Slide, and of course, I had to get up and join in! Richard came over and danced the Electric Slide with me, and then he surprised me by giving me a game ball! What a special and unexpected moment! The crowd was cheering, and it made the whole experience even more memorable. The atmosphere was absolutely perfect--the energy, the crowd, the music, and all the fun between innings made for such a wonderful evening. We can't wait to go back to another Reno Aces game! It's definitely an experience we'll remember!

The good news is we finally made it to South Lake Tahoe. So, all is well. The pool is indoors. It looks dated as the whole resort does. But it's still nice. The water is cool, but not cold like it is at the lake. They had a lifeguard on duty while we were here. The outdoor space is really run down. Someone also needs to work on the landscape as it's over run by weeds. The room is dated. We do like it for the size and location. It doesn't have an odd smell to it. It doesn't smell old or stale so that is good. It is a very good size room. The 2 queen option was cheaper then the king do we got it. The downside of the room is they don't have a loveseat or couch to sit and watch tv. They do have a single desk chair. The gym is good, we didn't use it, but it is a good size and many pieces of equipment. They even have a recumbent bike which my husband loves. They have one restaurant on site. A diner of sorts that serves all day long. Including bottomless mimosas for brunch, happy hour tacos, and a special $19.99 or approximately priced prime rib dinners. We've eaten there. Nothing special, but works. For us location really matters. We want to be close to the Heavenly village and South of North.

On top of that, they charge a $25 parking fee, an additional resort fee, and the casino slots felt extremely tight. To make matters worse, the elevator wasn't working, which made getting around the property even more frustrating. When you're already paying resort and parking fees, you expect better service, functioning facilities, and an overall experience that feels worth the money. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience here. Overall, very disappointing and not a place I would be in a hurry to return to.

It gives both the kids and the adults to come together for the adults to hang out and the kids to get their energy out. We still make it a habit to hang out afterwards for all parties. They serve alcohol at all times while they are open where my husband and our friend bought a glass of beer to drink during one of the classes for those rough mornings! The sportsdome is a nice alternative for sports from being outside offering a big field, practice field (both turf), basketball courts which can also serve as volleyball courts or even for use for soccer sprouts a time or 2. Sometimes the facility can be very busy as there can be different sports simultaneously happening at the same time in all areas, so parking may be limited, but the parking lot is large you should not have much trouble finding parking. Ladies Bathrooms are also clean. They offer ladies and men as well as family bathrooms located across from the basketball courts. I always see them being clean. All in all, the facility is pretty tidy and offer many trash cans so you can throw away your trash without having to walk far away.

First of all, the ice is great here and it's a great place to skate. If you aren't wanting to go to South Lake Tahoe, this is really your only other option. They hold many events here including the amateur hockey team games and the UNR team games, so the rink is well kept. The lessons have been decent quality. Most instructors are young ladies, likely high school students, but they do a good enough job for my 4 year old. You get a fair price for a few months of lessons and you get some free public skate passes included. This is a great perk if you can make their public skate work in your schedule. Most of the times are during the workday and school day, there are not many weekend sessions available. (See photo of January 2026 calendar). Not ideal for a working family. My biggest issue with Reno Ice and the reason for four stars is that the communication is not good. They rarely answer the phone when you call, and if they do, it's likely the employee won't know the answer to your questions. The skate lessons are very challenging and confusing to sign up for and no one is really able to help you or explain it to you. Most front desk attendants are young and they aren't able to help you much if it's outside the realm of handing you rental skates and checking you in. Additionally, we showed up for lessons one night and the rink was completely shut down due to a refrigerant leak. While I realize this is a major emergency, a quick email to families enrolled in lessons would have been great and saved us a drive from Carson City. Don't get me wrong, this is a great place to skate, but there is certainly room for improvement in some areas of running a business. Bundle up, bring the fam, and enjoy a skate session here!

First, his ski/snowboard rentals are waaay better priced than the other stores near the Heavenly arcade, and because you can walk the underground tunnel to the other side, it's an easy trek. to the gondolas once you have your equipment. Plus, you can come in after 2pm, the day before you actually go skiing, and rent and do all the admin ahead of time, so you can save a ton of time to ski the following day. I absolutely loved this! Second, he was incredibly informative about the various slope options throughout the city. He did say that Heavenly is a must-try for all newcomers, because that's the thing to do in South Lake Tahoe, but he did point out the many other places to go for a much better value that the premium charged at Heavenly. Third, his ski apparel and accessories, while limited, are of fantastic quality, and offer both high-end and value items. I picked up a Spyder layer, while the family picked up extra gloves. I have gone to countless stores and have been met with average service which didn't make the process easier. My girlfriend and I were in Tahoe passing through on our way to move her to a new state. We saw heavenly sports and thought we should check it out. Upon getting to the boot section we were met by the warmest smile by Bob. He started the encounter by having an extremely genuine conversation about getting to know us and asked all about my girlfriend's move. After talking for a long time he asked me about my skiing history and what I wanted to accomplish in the upcoming ski seasons. Having a long history of expertise he was able to bring out a couple options of boots he thought was perfect. I have fat/wide feet and a lot nerve about fit. Bob walked me through each boot and how they should fit. He also tried tricks to make the boots fit perfectly to me. I have never felt as accommodated In the process. He kept talking to us about life and genuinely cared, while being an expert in his job. He was such a kind funny and charming individual. My girlfriend and I walked out of the store feeling truly seen as people, customers, and skiers/snowboarders. Bob deserves all the praise in the world and a huge raise. If every store had more people like Bob the world would be such a better place. It's refreshing to know that the world has people like Bob in it.
