I've been shopping here both personally and for work for almost ten years - it's a great store run…read moreby the nicest people. I was so surprised to see the negative review! If you have any kitchen supply needs, please do go and see for yourself that everyone that works there is perfectly nice & professional. We (The PIggery) buy just about all of our paper goods there, and they have a full range of compostable "plastics" which is nice - instead of throwing eveyone's used cups in to the trash we can toss them right in to our Cayuga Compost bins. We've also made equipment purchses through them, and they are currently being our personal saviors by helping us with a nightmare kitchen hood situation. Prices are right, quality is great, staff are all super helpful - all around they are running a great business.

Figured I should respond, because someone at B&W thinks I work for their competition. I did…read morepurchase over $15,000 of kitchen equipment from their competition, but not from B&W because apparently $15,000 of purchases is just "harassment" from the customers. After I posted my review - which described my actual experience of being insulted by their staff, the owner contacted me to get my feedback. Yes, contacted me directly. Here is the message he sent me: Hello Trance A., I am a part-owner of B&W Supply Co, a business that you reviewed, and I was hoping to learn more about your experience with us. If we could go a little more in-depth in regards to your experience with us I'd greatly appreciate it. You can contact me through my email bwsupplyco@gmail.com as well as through yelp. Any more knowledge on the negative aspects of your experience would help us preventing them again for future customers. Thanks for your time, Hoyt D Benjamin Jr Later, I responded again, to describe my experiences, in an effort to help him clean up their act. However, when a staff member posts again on yelp, dismissing my criticism, it's clear that nothing has changed at B&W. Subsequently, I received this message from another person on yelp, thanking me for my review: "I received similar treatment. The owner acted as if she was going through multiple personalities in our brief conversation. So grateful I purchased my item prior to encountering her. I left stunned and smh..."

I had my husband with me, so I couldn't do the kind of walkthrough I wanted to do. But I made sure to check out their candle selection. I was really glad I did, they have every candle imaginable. Their prices were affordable. Definitely less expensive than ordering online. Plus it's nice to walk around and see all the options. They have an entire crystal and mineral section. I could have been in that store for hours. It had a family environment, parents shopping with their kids. If your kids are into metals, rocks, or crystals this spot is it. I wasn't looking but I'm sure they have D&D stuff and other fun gam I liked the store a lot. Some of these mystic shops have a witchy vibe, which isn't my thing. This place felt more wholesome. Something us old ancestral witches like. Lol I ended up buying several different types of candles, sage, and a Rose quartz for my meditation room. Next time, I go back. I will update with some pictures.

And if you're the owner of a metaphysical shop, do your research as to not sell goods that may be seen as disrespectful to large groups of people. Long version: Listen. You can get what you need most likely if you're spiritual from this shop, BUT-- there's a seeming lack of social responsibility that should concern my fellow respectful witches. They sell white sage and native/African cultural practice tools that are not appropriate for mass consumption. (Outside of people of those descents.) In their 7 day candle section there was an 'Indian power candle' referring to natives, along with the white smudge sticks and other tools of that nature. It is my understanding based upon the actual words of Native American people in the spiritual and witchcraft community that native sourced dream catchers and such ARE an appropriate thing to sell as long as actual Native Americans are the source of these goods and being compensated, but white sage is both unsustainable and not meant to be used outside of their closed practices. And using a native person as a mascot on your candle with the wrong terminology is beyond inappropriate.
