Fudge Co took over the space that used to be another candy store. I think it's meant to be a treat…read moreshop, one way or another. I heard about the grand opening on social media, and was excited to check out a fudge place so close to home. Contrary to the name, I did not find a ton of fudge. There was a little, but I had hoped to be able to buy a big chunk of milk chocolate fudge. Instead, I settled for some caramels that were pretty good. In addition to the candies in the case, there are shelves of other candies, some vintage. There is also a shelf of locally made goodies. It has a fun feel to it, but definitely still working out the details of recently opening. The reason I rated only 3 stars was for the service. When I think of mom and pop shops like this, I think of the owner or someone close to the owner running the shop, greeting customers and making people feel welcome. When I visited, there was a teenager working who clearly didn't have any stake in the success of the business. She was unfriendly, disinterested and didn't engage in any type of dialogue. I get it, I was 16 once and didn't care much about my job...but if I was the owner of this shop, I'd want to know and be sure to have people working there that represent my brand in a different way. I believe that excellent customer service is what will set this place a part from any other shop. I hope to see it change so that it is successful.

Kimmie is as sweet as they come - she makes you feel like she's your long-lost aunt who welcomes you to her shop and can/will make any candy/chocolate concoction your heart desires, she really is "YOUR personal kandy maker". Upon entering her lovely shop, she has a table full of samples that she offers you to see what you like or gravitate to. I've had the privilege of tasting her salted caramels - they are to die for! A MUST have! My favorites so far: salted caramels, milk chocolate roasted almonds bark with buttery vanilla caramels, freeze-dried taffy (I had no idea till I tried hers that I liked freeze-dried taffy!). Recently, I requested her to make: Almond chocolate nougat and buttery vanilla caramel, and homemade marshmallows. It was so good! Kimmie is mostly an online business but she sometimes holds an open house so you can come and see her candy shop in person and try samples!

I honestly can't remember a visit when we weren't personally greeted by the owner or one of the managers. The service is always warm and welcoming, and the whole place has such a fun atmosphere. The hot chocolate is to die for, the frozen hot chocolate is amazing, and the Karamel Malone Krispies are so good that we send them to family every Christmas. Whenever anyone comes to visit us from out of town, this is one of the first places we take them. Wonderful chocolate, great service, and a true local gem. Absolutely a 10/10 recommendation!

There's a craft counter, a chocolate counter, and an ice cream counter, and no clear lines or what not. At first glance, it's not immediately obvious where to focus your attention, so I went with the ice cream for here and took the chocolates walking. The owner was out on the floor chatting with customers, which gave the place a welcoming and local feel. It was nice. A few times I hovered close to him and tried to find an opening to ask him some questions about the products, but he was busy with other guests. As for the history of the business, there are enough newspaper clippings and articles on the walls to keep anyone occupied while waiting. Most of the staff appeared to be high school- or younger college-aged employees handling the day-to-day operations. The ice cream isn't made in-house (it's Farr's brand), so this review is more about the experience than the product itself. The serving size was fair, and I opted for the spumoni. Yes, really, spumoni. Three other people in our group between their twenties and forties had never even heard of the flavor before. The ice cream is scooped from a mixed single barrel rather than barrel with separated sections, so the chocolate, pistachio, and cherry had blended together. It was kind of like putting different sodas into the same cup. While I enjoy ice cream and these flavors, others might not think the same. The standout items for me were the chocolates. The bourbon chocolate came with a huge flavor punch. It was rich, bold, and intense enough that I needed a break and a glass of water afterward. It's not for the faint of heart and you need to be serious about chocolates to have an appreciation for this one. The marzipan, on the other hand, was a perfect follow-up. Not to sweet, balanced, and a very nice almond flavor. It was delicious and served as a nice palate refresher after the bourbon's performance. Between the chocolates and the owner's visible presence this was an enjoyable stop. The chocolates were easily the stars of the visit and worth it if you're in the area.

It's night and day with service between the two states. They hit the mark on customer service here today. I also appreciate that they handed me the box! Normally they just put it on the counter and walk off. This week's cookie selection was killer, they always are. The cookie batter cheesecake was delicious! The chocolate cupcake cookie was my favorite! The chocolate frosting was so good and the cookie was so buttery soft. I loved the sprinkles in the Mother's frosted animal cracker cookie. It was fun and colorful! Whoever created the Oreo milkshake cookie did a banger job. That cookie tasted just like an Oreo milkshake. I hadn't had dinner yet so it was hard to only take a couple bites of each cookie and not demolish them all. I could have eaten all 4 and not feel any guilt for doing it. I'm happy that there was a Crumbl close to U of U and the hospital. I was able to get my weekly goodies and it really made my day after having a long visit at U of U. The white chocolate strawberry matcha tasted exactly like these strawberry ice cream pops I remember from summers as a kid. The sweetest flavor was the strawberry but it wasn't overpowering, I loved the combination of these flavors. Also, the matcha wasn't grassy which was perfect. The iced dark chocolate drink was AMAZING, by far my favorite. Again, I expected it to be really sweet like candy but it wasn't, it was a really rich chocolate flavor. Amazing. The small hot chocolate we got was also a rich chocolate flavor, it was the milk chocolate percentage so not as rich as the iced dark chocolate drink. But I equally liked it. The marshmallow was $1 for a big chunk on top of the lid which was good for dipping in but I wouldn't recommend it if you want it to dissolve in the drink. Finally, the cinnamon bun was really nice, they did not have a microwave to heat it which would've been my only critique but it still tasted very nice and fresh. Highly recommend! Next time I'll make sure to check out their drinks containing espresso. Service was super fast, we walked in during a huge rush and it only took a few minutes to get our order, and the seats were super comfy. Definitely seems like a nice spot to sit and study if it's not too busy in there.
