The best authentic taco shop around! The owners were so kind and welcoming. The restaurant has different specials every weekday & the food is super cheap

If I could rate this place a negative star, it surely would deserve it. Trust the negative reviews about their food and chicken. It is old, dry, and has a funking tasting. I believe giving a business the benefit of a doubt. I was wrong and mistaken. This was my first time here and last.

Pretty stripped down operation. Parking really sucks!

Come on guys! The only silverware available is a baby sized plastic fork? Why not just stock some sporks and rename the place Taco Belle? The food is actually pretty good! The value proposition a certainly quite reasonable! The available parking completely sucks! If I was in the area, I would probably come back again. But absolutely make sure I have my silverware with me. Working so hard to eat a decent meal with a little plastic fork is just stupid

2.2/5 trio of tacos I've tried these tacos several times...I've wanted to like them. I've tried to find the "good" in them. Unfortunately, the only thing that's been consistent about these tacos is that they are not good. The "coverup" here is a real thing. These tacos are covered with toppings; lettuce, tomatoes, onions-- sure, I COULD have ordered them without any of the toppings, but I take them as they come. Biting into these you will understand why the "coverup" exists.. all the proteins were extremely dry. The steak- rubbery; the grilled pork-like trying to swallow a rock. The shredded pork-bland and dry. All of these proteins were over cooked. Sadly, there is not much to enjoy here and certainly not a place worth enjoying your Taco Tuesday. maybe the other locations are better ‍ Just the everyday father giving you his perspective... what you do with it is completely up to you. Eat Well Friends. Cheers

After running errands around town so early in the morning, the kids and are were starving. I am so tired of the same old breakfast places. I have passed this place so many times and keep meaning to stop for some grub. When we entered, the staff said hello and was ready to take our order. To my surprise that had a breakfast menu. The kids and I each got the chorizo burrito with home fries for $4.99. It has chorizo, eggs, cheese, onions, and other goodies wrapped in a warm tortilla. It took no time at all for all three of our orders. The portion size was huge. I ate that thing at 10:30am and was not hungry until well after 6pm. I was so full I did not even finish my home fries. The kids each loved it and was unable to finish it. They ended up getting a lunch out of it too. It was a fantastic tasty, filling breakfast at an insane price. I am already making plans on going back for lunch.

Today is opening day, and I have been watching to see when that open sign would be glowing! Today was the day! This use to be Chick N Peas, and now I welcome Taco Son to town. They have been in Temple Terrace for awhile and I didn't know they had a location in St. Pete. Alas a local chain not national chain in Wesley Chapel. They have the typical tacos, burritos, chimichangas, quesadillas, tortas. They also have daily specials like today was a chicken special. Friday and Saturdays are inviting with a steak ranchero and fish tacos on Saturday. Today I picked the three taco shrimp with hard, soft and flour tortillas. The shrimp has a good flavor. I can't really nail down what I liked most. Usually it's the hard shell taco, but it wasn't this time. That was plain. Maybe the corn one. My hubby had the steak torta. The best part of it is the guacamole. The bread is just ok to me. The tamale was the one I liked the most. It was a good size too. I was surprised about that. It would probably be my go to and they have four flavors - Pineapple, pork, chicken and mole, and corn and cheese. The pineapple juice had too much pulp for me. The horchata had too much cinnamon. The service was great especially for the first day! They were very helpful! All in all, glad they are in town. I wish they had sopes, carne Asada, pina coladas(even non alcoholic), and huaraches on the menu. I also wish that there wasn't so many a la carte small items that are an extra charge here and there. That means I still have my number 1. This location, though is so close to home. I know we will be back for that reason and I'll get the fish tacos and steak ranchero.

I went here at 8:27pm on a Saturday. They close at 9pm....chairs were already on top of the tables and the cook staff were already cleaning & ready to leave. That should have been a sign for me to leave, however I was town for a family vacation to the amusement parks and my family and I were starving. My rating is based on the food taste. The service was decent, however I felt rushed to eat. I ordered a chicken chimichanga. It was super gross. The chicken was DRY and chopped in cubes and not shredded. The tortilla wasn't completely fried. The beans and rice were decent. The chips didn't taste fresh. I've had better chips from a bag. The salsa was delicious. I even tried to smother some on my chimichanga, but that didn't help so I threw it away. My son had a quesadilla. He said it was good. You can't go wrong with cheese and a tortilla. My boyfriend ordered 2 beef tacos. They were out of steak. He didn't like the taste. The meat was dry. Won't ever stop here again, at least not close to their closing time!!!! They even starting taking out the trash cans while we were eating!!! Being from Arizona and surrounded by Mexican food this didn't taste authentic! Prices were decent. .

One of the best on the area for sure! Great pricing with big portions and always very friendly and fast!! The burritos are huge and delicious! Guacamole is always very good with homemade chips!

The staff is consistently quick, friendly, and on top of everything, which makes the whole experience easy and enjoyable. The menu is what you'd expect from a solid Mexican spot, familiar ingredients done well in a variety of ways. I always go with the #18 (1 burrito, 1 taco, rice, and beans), and it's the perfect portion. Every time, I leave completely stuffed. One of the highlights is when the mariachi band comes around. I once asked for "Rocky Top," and they absolutely nailed it, somehow blending that bluegrass vibe with a Latin twist. It was one of those moments that just makes the night more fun. The only downside, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is the restrooms. They don't quite match the cleanliness and attention you see in the rest of the restaurant and could definitely use more consistent upkeep. Overall, it's a great go-to spot with fast service, good food, and a fun atmosphere. I'll definitely keep coming back.

I'm not sure where in Mexico the food here is inspired from but when you ask for a chile relleno here just know that you will get a plate of queso with a small piece of a green chile in the center. We were so confused! And then he brought out an actual chile relleno (just one when both of us had ordered one ) and told us that was the poblano.. I'm also not sure if the was miscommunication with my enchilada , but I asked for a cheese enchilada and received a beef enchilada covered in queso which was gross , no enchilada sauce. My bfs enchilada had the sauce but no cheese... we had both ordered the combo and it didn't even come with rice and beans as a normal place would serve it. And to top things off, the salsa here had a taste of like dirty dishes, it sucked because the first time we came here I did like the salsa for being a bland one it was decent. But yea ... this place can do a lot better.

As usual chips and salsa was good and fresh, I ended up ordering the steak fajita to share with my daughter. It was a decent size portion that both of us easily enjoyed and finishing off. The wife and I shared the margarita flight. I personally loved the mango as it had a lite spice to it but the pineapple is my favorite. Now comes for the issue items, that large plate only come with 3 small tortillas that we killed off quickly then I get uncharged $2 for 3 more. Most places give you 5 to start of off and still don't charge for more. We also got a cup of white queso dip. $11.50 for a small cup? Up charge for extra sour cream? It's not the worst thing ever but if you're going to skimp on what should have been on the plate in the first place then you shouldn't up charge when customer asked for more. Other than that I may just come back for drinks and skip out on the food.

Honestly, hands down the worst attempt at Mexican food I've ever had. This place honestly is a disgrace to Mexican food. The salsa was pathetic, no flavor and tasted like plain tomatoes. The second "salsa" we were told is a house favorite. It was literally a cold tomatillo ranch, gross. I got 2 ground beef enchiladas with Tex mex and a chili relleno. The enchiladas were not good but were also not the worst thing ever. The chili relleno however, tasted like a frozen pack of TGI Fridays mozzarella sticks from the store. No joke, you could taste the freezer burn on them. The beans were watery and had no flavor. The rice, you could easily tell has been sitting in a fridge at least over night. It was dry, hard, and also had no flavor. It amazes me these restaurant owners want to have a successful business, but insist on cutting corners and not making fresh food. Your food sucks and I won't be back. I wouldn't even let my dogs eat this food. Harsh huh? Simple solution, make your own food. If you want a successful restaurant, make your own tortillas, cook your own beef, make your sauce fresh everyday, shred fresh cheese, STOP CUTTING CORNERS. Any person with a good palette can clearly tell everything has either been sitting in a freezer or a fridge over night. The ambiance is also quirky and I'm not sure what themes they're going with. Woods, bricks, dogs on the wall, 90's color schemes, it's just not it. It takes me 5 minutes to make great food at home, I'll never understand why restaurants can't do the same. This is the type of place you see on a Gordon Ramsay show that he tries to save. My taste buds will never forgive me for eating here, don't make the same mistake.
