The food was flavorful, authentic, and really delicious. The atmosphere is calm, breezy, and enjoyable with both covered and uncovered outdoor seating at beautiful tables. That said... the bathroom needs immediate attention. It was rough, definitely had me a little worried, and I said a very serious prayer over my food before eating. Thankfully the food was GREAT and I didn't get sick, which is why I'm still giving a good review. But whoever is managing the place, please clean up the restroom situation. It makes a big difference.

So I know me…read moresome delicious Mexican authentic street tacos and I LOVE a hole in wall "dive" restaurant as much as anyone!! So don't mistake my review as being judgmental of the building (I actually think it's cute...and I've wanted to try this place before but my boyfriend is not an adventurous foodie...had to wait until I was in the area solo). Anyhow, now to get to the review....This place was average at best. The tacos had thin single layer of corn tortillas that fell apart when you went to pick them up. The meat selections were either too dry or too fatty and too greasy (the chicken was dry ...Pastor and the Carnitas was like chewing through fat). I did not like the lettuce or cheese on top. I prefer the more simple style of tacos with onion, cilantro, and maybe a little tomatoe. Prices were average for what you got. One person that worked there was very friendly and helpful, the other one was not very chatty and I detected a bit of a language barrier. The pastries did look quite delicious, but I did not sample any of those so I can't speak to their flavor or quality. Overall it was an average experience and I was hoping for a lot more. There are a lot of other taco places in the area that I will be trying next.

The food is allergy friendly which makes me happy so I can actually enjoy what I'm eating. I ordered the Quesabirria Combo and the presentation was beautiful. It came with some cut up limes and a nice avocado salsa with a little spicy kick. I don't like spicy so much, but it was really delicious so I just used a little on each taco. The corn tortilla's were delicious! They were really soft and the meat was flavorful, but cold. It comes with four and all four had cold meat. The Birria juice was flavorful, but almost cold. I think sometimes when you order from these food apps they have multiple orders to drop off. If they don't have a hot or cold bag to keep it at the temperature it should be, then unfortunately the customer's food suffers. So I'm going to blame it on the the delivery app and actually go to the restaurant in person. I will give them another try and hopefully I'm correct in my assumption. Also I called before I ordered to see if they used fresh seasoning's due to my food allergies. The guy who answered the phone was super sweet and friendly. That's one of the reasons I am going to give this restaurant one more try.

So TL:DR, I'm sold! I'm coming back and hoping it's consistent because this meal was delicious. Ordered tacos: steak, carnitas, and barbacoa. With rice and beans and washed it down with a large agua de Jamaica. Steak taco tasted like a real steak taco, and drenched with lime and salsa from their extremely convenient salsa bar, it was fantastic. The carnitas tacos was next, it was nice and tender, great taste, and again, drenched in lime and a mix of their green and red salsa it was very yummy. In between I had the rice and beans that were excellent imo. I'm Mexican and grew up eating beans 5-7 days week so i know a thing or two. The rice and beans were very close to home made. Very nostalgic. Finally I was expecting the barbacoa taco to be, not-so-good. I dunno know honestly I just expected them to not be perfect. Barbacoa was on-point! Great taste and not dry. Good potion of meat too, so I was able to eat some of the meat with rice and beans and that was amazing. Tortillas are made in-house and tasted great, I'm usually picky about this but these weren't too thick and tasted great. The agua de Jamaica was excellent. On the sweet side but not overly overly sweet. It was the perfect meal for that particular day, it hit the spot and didn't cost an arm and a leg. It's in a plaza, in a halfway sketchy neighborhood tbh but is worth going to and very close to 95. I will be going back and probably ordering the exact same order.

Therefore, I got myself 1 barbacoa taco as well as my usual chicken tostada (both come with a side of sliced cucumbers). My mom wanted to try a variety so she got the chicken quesadilla--a tad bit salty, along with a beef tostada, chicken Gordita and French fries. We were bummed they ran out of Horchata so we got the Agua de Jamaica instead which was great for such a sunny day. Our food was done within 20 minutes and they have tables/chairs right by the food truck if you want to eat there. Overall, great customer service and even better food quality!
