Memos Fruit Stand - Pina loca with jicama, mangoes, and pineapple

Such a great day to have fresh fruit chopped up in front of you on a blistering hot Sunday! This…read morestand is located right in front of the bakery outlet off of Redwood and 4700s (I love that I sound like a Utahn now). I completely forgot to take a picture of the menu but their fruits are affordable, fresh, and oh so tasty! The norm is to add chili and lime to the fruits. They'll add chamoy upon request, but I'm not a fan of that savory sauce. The fruit cocktail has slices of coconut, mangoes, pineapple, cantaloupe, cucumbers, jicama, and of course, watermelon!

This isn't too much of a surprise, but 2 stars is what it gets…read more Went here for a fresh summer snack, and was disappointed. Bought the $10 bag for my kids and I, and it was pure disappointment. Jicama- the bag was 60% full of this fluffer. Cucumber- although not a fruit, it was nice to add, but again....cheap as hell! Had maybe 10 pieces in there which in price, total of $0.22. Mango- all the pieces of mango looked ripe, but was all sour as hell. Trash. Cantaloupe- this had maybe a few pieces in the bag, so I saved them for my kids to eat since that's all they enjoyed. Watermelon- was chilled, but it has been sitting in the lemon/lime juice for a bit. Good, but it was probably a day away from the juices being gooey. Coconut- the pieces that was put in the bag was cute, but the taste was just too old. Had one piece and it tasted like it was spoiled. All together, the Chile was the only constant. The bag is way overpriced, and doesn't live up to $10. With all the contents, it should've been a $6 bag max.

I've been dying to try these tacos since I've had them recommended to me by so many people and even…read morebeen told they are the best tacos in salt lake, and it's a street cart. They are putting the street in street taco that's for sure. We went right during sunset, and it was actually so gorgeous with the mountains. I got Al pastor tacos and my husband got Al pastor, carne asada, and tripa. The Al pastor was soooo good!!! My husband enjoyed the carne asada and also said the tripa was amazing and super crunchy. They have a cooler with toppings and you get to load up the tacos yourself. They also have a cooler with drinks, but they didn't have any Diet Coke. The guys working were super nice and quick. The people in front of us ordered burritos and they let you load them up before wrapping them. I'd love to come back for a burrito. Overall, it lived up to the hype! Worth the stop for sure and highly recommend during sunset.

Staff wasn't the friendliest but hey it's a hot day with a huge crowd so no big deal. The orders were limited to burrito and taco combos, that come with a canned soda, rice and beans. The taco combo comes with three. Went with the asada and boy were these mediocre. Cheapest cut of chewy meat drenched in oil to help enhance the flavor nestled inside of a store bought tortilla. Tiny tacos with subpar meat filled with the sort of gristle you won't enjoy. For $15 I felt ripped off. The burrito was mostly bright orange rice, not the usual light red rice an abuela makes, filled with half melted cheese, and what appears to be canned beans with a sprinkle of that ghastly meat. Not sure what the hype is about but this place is substandard at best. If you're hungry with no options it's better than nothing but really not worth your money at $5 a taco.

This place has so much to offer! We didn't realize how much or we would have gotten here earlier!…read more I have been wanting to check this place out since shortly after we moved to Utah. It looks like such a beautiful place to walk around and it's free! From tree carvings, wildflowers and historic tours. We came for the wonderful Sunday Farmer's Market and there were so many amazing vendors with so many yummy samples! My favorite was the Mediterranean Hummus vendor. So many selections to choose from! Because of the hummus purchase we had to book it out and get it home and chilled! They had fresh meat, eggs, breads, jellies, salsas, and of course tons of produce from different Utah produce farms. It's very busy and you may have to park in the neighborhood surrounding the farm on Sundays. It's quite popular!!!! I loved the old historic buildings some dating back to the early 1900's. There's plenty of animals to check out from horses, to cows, pigs, sheep, goats, roosters, peacocks and a sheep. There's a small country store onsite as well. They have tractor and wagon rides. Some of the most beautiful wood flowers growing, a small creek runs through the property and there are several trails which I look forward to exploring on our next trip. I'm also excited to watch a lesson on cow milking! It's truly a beautiful spot to visit, and if you are interested I'd suggest bringing a blanket and some lunch and sitting under the shady trees and enjoying the magnificent things this working farm has to offer.

The farmer's market here is a great alternative to the one downtown although still much smaller…read more The farm itself is always a fun treat to see the animals including cows, bunnies, chickens, peacocks, sheep, and a donkey. I love taking our dogs to see the "exotic" animals. Behind the activity barn is garden entirely worked on by volunteers in the Master Gardener program. If you ever see them working be sure to share your thanks! There's also a long path that loops the property once you cross the bridge, it follows the stream and then hangs left.
