Tacos Mendoza is a hidden gem! I've been there and both experiences have been great! My favorite meal so far was the surf n turf burrito. It was filled with perfectly cooked shrimp and other tasty ingredients. Plus, the owner is super friendly! She attends all her customers quickly and makes sure to get your order right. You can tell this is a family owned business and I love that! Come by and support your local San Rafael taco truck. You won't be disappointed!

Don't waste time anywhere else! GO HERE!

Their breakfast burrito is off the charts. Hours of ops are varied these strange days but can't beat the quality on this place.

We just got in before happy hour ended and it made our trip even better. We shared a salad and each ordered happy hour tacos. The flan we ordered for dessert was amazing. And I don't normally even like flan. It was the best I've ever had. Great place to try out!

Mexican Jarrito sodas are $5 each, a glass of Modelo beer is $7 and a small orange juice is $6. Prices, to us, are high. Yes, it is in California, but Mexican dishes are not that expensive to make. Eli was our server and he did a good job with us. The Conchinita Pibil Tacos plate ($21) is a Yucatán Peninsula dish of deeply flavorful pulled pork, marinated in citrus and achiote (those tiny red seeds common in the Americas) paste. Served with pickled onions on corn tortillas. They were OK. Huevos Rancheros ($19) were, as expected, fried eggs over corn tortillas and slathered with green and red sauces. Pretty good. Most expensive was the five Street Taco Plate ($48), an outrageous price for five street tacos. Of course, you could choose what protein you wanted in those five tacos, but... We will be back as son's family like it very much. We...not so much.

I wish I had more words to describe my experience here!…read more I've never been to this area before so I asked a friend who lives nearby for recommendations. Los Moles was one of the top recs and I can definitely see why. We found street parking a couple blocks away and enjoyed the weather walking to the restaurant; the parking meter was a few bucks for maximum two hours, not bad! The exterior of the restaurant is beautiful, music was playing, and the interior was just as beautiful and cozy. They offer the menu or a buffet style. The service was phenomenal right off the bat and continued throughout our meal. I ordered the Carne Asada Platillo Casero and my boyfriend got the Burrito Mojado with Carnitas. For drinks, we got a Tamarind Margarita and a Modelo Especial. Both of us were overwhelmed with how good our orders were - we finished every last bite on our plates! My plate included beans, rice, cotija cheese, nopales, onions, carne asada, and guacamole, and they gave me a steaming basket of two fresh made tortillas. It was the perfect amount of food and every last ingredient was enjoyable on its own, so combined it was even better. I kept repeating, "Wow, this is so good!" throughout the meal. I wish I had asked for an extra order of the nopales and onions to go because I enjoyed it so much. My margarita was probably the best margarita I've had, hands down. I don't usually drink so I couldn't finish the whole glass, but I easily could've had two if they were nonalcoholic! I highly recommend coming here and enjoying a meal. I'm so glad my friend told me about this place, I wouldn't even mind making the drive again to try more of the menu :)

We have been coming here off & on for about 10 years since we moved to Marin and I'm so glad we remembered this place as we were walking back from the porchfest in gerstle park. I had a shredded chicken burrito and took half of it home to my teen son. The flavors were all there and just incredibly tasty and not too salty like a lot of Mexican food can be. It was one of the best burritos I ever had and having lived in the city for 15 years before here we ate a lot of great Mexican food in the mission. My husband had the steak plate and loved it, with refried beans and salad. We had the sangria and I was nervous about it because I don't like very sweet drinks, but it was only mildly sweet and very refreshing after a long day at porch fest. I heard someone saying there was a new chef and that he was a bit overwhelmed by the unexpected crowd of the porchfest, but I must say he sure handled it well as did the entire friendly welcoming team of staff. My husband actually is there right now the next day, eating lunch on the patio and getting in order to go for our son (the same chicken burrito)! If you are craving Mexican food in Central MARIN, I highly recommend this gem - very family, friendly vibe of staff caring and upbeat. Food is delicious and the restaurant is very relaxing and spotless clean.

This is NOT some typical below par Mexican restaurant where all dishes taste the same, like is common at strip malls across the country. This is fresh and everything is delicious! Service has been friendly & fast , and drinks have always been delicious. My favorite time to go is during their Happy Hour, as they have various affordable cocktail options as well as small bites. Their taquitos are my personal favorite, are so good, and come with a nice green salsa and sour cream. My favorite drink has to be the Tamarindo margarita, which I always get with a Chamoy rim. I also love the environment and aesthetic of this establishment, as the low light & modern look, make this place look elegant & classy. This spot seems more of a tequila bar that serves food rather than a restaurant setting. For food, we ordered the fish tacos, shrimp ceviche and taquitos. Their fish tacos were good! That green salsa (avocado/chiles) that comes with it was very spicy. Shrimp ceviche on the other hand was whole pieces of cooked shrimp halved lengthwise with cut up avocado and cucumber. I have had better. The taquitos were okay, the exterior tortillas were a bit overcooked. Was impressed with the selection of tequilas however. Would recommend the anejo flight. I'm not a huge tequila expert, but discovered that I like El Tesoro Anejo, very smooth! Service was attentive and our server went out of his way to explain the difference between the various flights. I would come back to try the tequila again for sure!
