Short answer: don't go here if you've had good authentic Mexican food. I got the sopes. Supposed to have cheese. The sope it's self is ok. Carne is good. The sauce is supposed to be guacamole. But is too thin and tastes like cilantro. I also got carne asada fries which were really weird. They had nacho cheese, and maybe mozzarella cheese I'm not sure, the fries were alright. 2 stars for the carne and the portion size read more

This place sucks! I have to agree with the negative comments for this establishment. The positive reviews must be from friends or acquaintances. There is no ambiance, and of course, there are plenty of tables. No one eats there. I'm surprised that they're still in business. I will NEVER patronize this establishment. read more

If i could give this place 0 i would. I called in 4 different orders and they messed up our food. I'm lactose and they gave me a quesadilla with soooo much cheese. More cheese than anything else. I work 12hrs Saturday and only get 30mins for lunch. They wanted me to take the food back then they'd make the right thing. 1st and last time. read more

Do not, I repeat DO NOT, get the carne asada fries. I ordered on Door Dash and the menu said, French fries, steak, cheese, guacamole and sour cream. I got fries, nacho cheese and steak. When I called to figure out what happened, I was told I have to pay extra for the guacamole and sour cream. But since when does nacho cheese come on asada fries? Why include the extras in the description on the menu? $8+ wasted and they didn't even try to fix it. The only reason they're getting 3 stars is because their burritos are delicious. read more

Tacos were amazing! I had the Al pastor and carnitas taco plate. Great portion of rice and beans and meat. I always come here and its always good service but today it was not so good. They forgot to give me my food. I didn't realize until an hour later because I trusted them with my order. When I went back to get my food they didn't make it again instead I got the same cold food they FORGOT to give me and they also forgot my side of Guacamole. Very disappointed I hope they work on their service. read more

I love Tacos Los Compadres. We have been coming here for years. I always get chicken tacos. My husband orders buche or al pastor. They are always so tasty and full of flavor. I've also tried their rice and french fries. French fries are always nicely salted and crispy. read more

The service is fine. No complaints there. The prices didn't match what was posted. The food was okay, the salsa is good, beans were decent, it's just a quick grab and go kinda place, you can sit and eat but nothing special. Bathroom was dual gender, so the seat was up and toilet not flushed... I probably wouldn't revisit this place nothing special besides the green sauce. Lots of options in the area for similar food. Ambiance is somewhat rushed and loud. read more

Customer service...no bueno. They stared at our every move it seemed. We came in, first time not sure on what to order. Saw there was a burrito special on the window outside but when I asked about it, there was no explanation to what it was/came with/price. Had to repeat myself just to get a description out of the cashier. 2 burritos to go so we sat down at a booth and waited. There's a salsa bar which we thought was cool. The order didn't take long but when we got it, no salsa in bag so of course we go to the bar to get some and the cashier and cook eyeballed us the whole time. Didn't say a word though. The food: rice and beans are good and authentic. Way too much cheese. You'll be clogged up for days. One burrito was cold. The tortilla is very doughy. Won't be returning, especially since we didn't feel welcomed at all. They stared at us like they've never seen black people before. read more

Solid 3 stars. Not a big menu but pretty authentic and tasty. As others have mentioned, the sopes are dense and big, and the other food is just fine, too. The salsas are nothing spectacular but they do the job. We were just passing through on Christmas Day and saw they were open, so that's worth at least one star. If you're in the area check 'em out. read more

I asked the lady that took my order for an al pastor burrito, and al pastor for my ENTIRE order, and of course they gave me the wrong meat. They gave me an asada burrito. I was so dissatisfied with my burrito that I had to call the place and tell them that my order was wrong and she said that I asked for Asada when I clearly said PASTOR. It was so frustrating speaking to her on the phone and her repeatedly saying that I asked for Asada when I DID NOT. Aside of my food having the wrong meat, the meat was Chewy and Super oily without any seasoning. The only reason why I'm giving this place a 2 star and not a 1 star is because the inside of the place was clean. Also, The price$$$ of the food did not match how bad it tasted. read more

ok... to be fair Taquitos were good, though very very very small ... 3 tiny Taquitos. we also ordered the quesadilla combo, this was truly sad, the quesadilla had no tomato on the side, no sour cream, just was a plain old lonely quesadilla. my wife ordered the shrimp Diablo... shrimp was overcooked and the sauce was thin and lacking flavor. should have used a whole lot more garlic, finished it with a squeeze of lemon and butter... but that was not the case lol um... they need to step it up ... k"rico across the street is way.......... We came here the first time and very very disappointed. I was gonna give 2 stars but my husband is very generous so he gave the third star. We ordered menudo carne asada burrito and Jamaica drink. Menudo was horrible. I don't if they know how to make Menudo. My husband is Hispanic, but he ate two spoons and he threw the menudo in the thrash. The carne asada meat was finely chopped. The only item that earned my two stars was Jamaica drink. I would not ever come back here again until they learn how to make menudo. read more

Centrally located taqueria just off Mission Blvd in Riverside. Currently going through a renovation or expansion inside the restaurant. It'll be nice to see when it's all done. Variety of tacos, burritos and tortas. Ordered the Fish, Steak and Shrimp tacos. Fish tacos only come deep fried, wish they'd offer grilled as well. Both Shrimp and Steak tacos were good. Salsa bar is free and enjoyed the taste and flavors. Prices are reasonable, cashier was friendly, place was clean and food was prepared quickly. read more

If I can give zero stars I would. I decided to give this place one last chance since they've messed up several times before. The young lady again lmaooo always her messed up my order again, ordered ceviche de pescado and I asked if it's in a cup or a tostada and she says it comes in a tostada so I agreed to it. She repeated it back to me. My friend goes picks up the Oder on our 30 min lunch break and it was NEVER added to my order after having a whole conversation about it lol. Again I'm an angry customer and at this point she's just doing things on purpose. Do better Latinos should respect one another. But I bet they have an excuse for everything. As it's a family business. Wasted time I can't get back. read more

1st thing girl taking orders was dumb AF asked atleast 3times if it was to go... she was not only stupid she was rude.. bad ambience. 2ndly food was not all that tacos were dry, so I put green salsa (my fav)but this particular one had no flavor.. babe orders 2 sopes so I ate one and the masa part of it was surprisingly good and so we're the carnitas but they needed something and I went for the red salsa witch was pretty good as well.. I have been going here for some time now. Since they've called Rubidoux their home actually. So I'm going to compare what their food used to be versus my recent visit a few days ago. Past: Torta absolutely delicious, sopes well dressed (even in To-go boxes,) huge burritos, great prices, food tasted like someone actually was proud to make and Tacos with meat freshly made. Present: Torta is soggy and look like it shrunk, sopes look like someone threw some sh** on there and called it a day. Some taco meat is looking dry and looks like it's been sitting. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito the other day and I got a tortilla full of watery beans and hardly no cheese! Overall, I'd like to see more care in how the cooks make and prepare the food. Possibly some more cheese on my B&C burrito. Tams across the street will serve me for now (for a few cents less) until you all can get it together. Two stars because I still enjoy the fish tacos and horchata. read more

Kinda blew me away. I really fell in love with this taqueria. I walked in not knowing anything about this place, so I ordered a couple tacos that are my assessment of an unknown taqueria: al pastor and cabeza. The al pastor is the best I've had in a long time, maybe ever ( and I was in Mexico City last summer); it was bright with freshness and flavor. Quality. The cabeza was good too; big, juicy, tender pieces of slow cooked meat. Even the tortillas that the meat was on was unusually hot and soft. There are only two types of salsa (verde, and habanero). Not that cool, but it's alright cause the meat is so good. But what they lack in salsa choice they make up for with the grilled jalapeños, pickled carrots, and fresh radishes. I know you're thinking "big deal, all taquerias have that stuff". True, but the pickled carrots with jalapeños were so fresh, crisp, and colorful. It was like they made it 10 minutes before I put it in my mouth. And the grilled jalapeños are not just simply grilled, they are also seasoned with some type of lemon garlic salt, and they were still warm. Plus, the jalapeños have just the right heat. sometimes jalapeños are too hot which distracts from enjoying the flavor of everything else, or sometimes they are too mild, which I might as well eat a bell pepper. These are just right. In fact, everything was just right. This spot would get 5 stars if they served complimentary tortilla chips and if they had a couple more fresh salsas in the salsa bar. But even without those two elements, they are a solid 4 star taqueria. read more

Little things make a big difference here; Marinated onions with oregano, roasted jalapeno peppers, with chili and salt, are nice touches. The best rice I've had in a while. Chicken tacos for $1.30.
