The parking lot o my has 3-4 spots so be prepared to street park if needed. Once inside, there is seating for about 15 people, a TV that was showing soccer, A small refrigerator with pop and different sauces, and some awesome Mexican food! They have quite the array of options. Seven or eight types of meat to choose from and everything is very reasonably priced. I ended up having a taco sampler plate - basically ordering five or six different types of tacos to go. Everything is street style and comes on double corn tortillas topped with cilantro and a little bit of onion. They were both red and green sauces that were included, and both are really good. I think the litmus test for any place in the area is whether or not there are grandmothers in the back helping make the food. I think there were two in the back here, and it tasted like it! At the end of the day, nothing beats home cooking, and many of the Mexican spot in the area, this one included, it's like cooking for the family every day! Everything is made after you order, so calling ahead isn't a bad idea. My whole order cost like seven dollars and made me want to go spend another seven! You should definitely go check this place out, it won't be a hidden gem for long!

It's a classic taco truck with the addition of lots of snacks that can be purchased. A buddy and I stopped in for lunch and found it to be another great addition to the next level Mexican food that is available in the area. They have many of the standard options including tacos, tortillas, burritos and quesadillas. They have six different taco options with many of the standards including beef, chicken and pork, and the less common chicharones! The chicharones are a non-fried, pork rind. Definitely a different texture than you'll be used to, as it's predominately fat, but it's made in a delicious sauce that's got a little bit of kick to it, and complements any of the other tacos very well. I had five, but only ate the meat And my compatriot had three willst consuming the accompanying tortillas. The tortillas had a really nice crisp to them after being fried and gave the tacos just a little bit something extra. The different options for snacks included chips, some homemade dulces, cookies and plenty of other stuff you would normally tell your kid they can only have one set a great while. Some of it is Mexican, some of it's not, all of it is carbohydrate Layton! The food is not overly expensive, around $1.50 per taco, and they have lunch specials that are advertisedOutfront. All in all, it's another solid Mexican spot in a place that is increasingly becoming known for incredible authentic Mexican!

Some of the most outstanding tacos I've had, right up there with what you'd get in LA and Mexico. I got the asada and the chorizo. The salsa roja was a perfect balance of spice, acid, and a little garlic, and complimented the tacos very well. They also serve the tacos with a nice mix of grilled onions, pickled carrots, fresh radish and a serrano. My wife got the veggie burrito with salsa verde and absolutely loved it. I've driven by this place a lot of times, but never had the opportunity to stop in. Then one fateful afternoon with my best half was in the mood for sopes, I stopped in and things have never been the same! In talking with the gentleman at the front counter, it sounds like they've been here for the better part of a decade. It's located on the back half of the Chevron station on 16th Ave. and in the tradition of great gas station restaurants, they are serving up some amazing cuisine in a fairly grungy kitchen. That i'll translates into some of the better Mexican food I found in the area. And Papa loves his Mexican food! Perhaps the thing that sets them apart from any of the other delicious Mexican restaurants is the fact that they have a number of extra meat offerings for the tacos. The standard chicken, pork and beef offerings are available, however they have some additional ones including pork skin, stomach - sort of like tripe, as well as a couple renditions of beef and pork that I haven't seen. End of the day, everything was absolutely delicious. The sopes come 3 in order, are enough to feed two people pretty easily and are absolutely boss! The fixins tray includes the standard onions, cilantro and jalapeños as well as some really good salsa options. These guys are doing it absolutely awesomely! To boot, they serve breakfast and apparently make a really good breakfast burrito. Going to have to bring the better half and the kiddos by to make sure it's as good as everything else, though I expect it will be. This is a spot you should absolutely try, first because the food is delicious and second because it's in a gas station!
