I got two tacos de asada and one taco Al pastor. The asada was okay but the pastor was better!! The service was good and they were very friendly. The green salsa was really spicy watch out! Overall I recommend.

Cabeza! Yummy

Came here the other day because I am lazy to cook and "trying to save money for wedding" so tacos fit the bill! For $16 bucks (they accept card+cash), I got 4 tacos and 1 quesadilla. Compared to other taco places, the quantity of meat seemed to be a bit less than others, but I was happy with the food nonetheless. Cabeza really good!! nice and tender. prolly my fav in the area. Tastes like more than just meat lol Al pastor idk cuz my fiance ate it all. he said he didn't like it (he was just hungry) Pollo pretty standard, wouldn't get it again as nothing about it really stood out. Trying chicken is nice cuz sometimes you don't feel porky/beefy/want something lighter! Tripas i did ask for extra crispy, but maybe the chef forgot. but this was a little on the gamey side, but nothing incredibly offensive. i liked the flavor and though it wasn't as clean as other places, id still get it again. My fav is still a truck in the neighborhood (super clean), but this was way better than tacos pronto (crispy, but not flavored well and just felt like eating meat) Carne asada quesadilla normally i ask for light cheese, but forgot.. this was a bit on tbe oily side. size wasn't too huge, the carne asada was better than others, but it wasn't dry. My fav carne asada is in sd, so hard to compare lol but this was enjoyable maybe cuz the cheese. Service was friendly! came with grilled onions and dangerous habanero lol Sauces weren't bad. the avocado one isnt my fav, but the limey green one tickles my fancy more. the red sauce was smokey. They did add to the flavor of the tacos, but the meats themselves shined more than the sauces

Best OC taco truck hands down, a true hidden gem. Tacos El Catrin has been really consistent with their quality of food and service. My favorite is the Al pastor, Cabeza, carne asada, and tripa. The Al pastor taco is super flavorful, ask for a side of pineapple on the taco. A must get. The cabeza taco is tender and rich, melts right in your mouth. The carne asada taco is really beefy with a good bite to it. My favorite is the tripa taco. I always get the tripa here because not many places serve good tripa. Tip: Ask them to make the tripa extra crispy, you won't regret it. Tacos El Catrin is a true hidden gem. I've been trying to explore new taco spots, but I always come back to Tacos El Catrin. Bonus Tip: they do accept both cash and card, but cash is king(hint: cheaper).

We're from south LA And we drove to Santa Ana just to try the tacos! They were really tasty, meat was excellent cooked, I loved their al pastor y el de suadero!! Unfortunately they didn't have horchata fresa water! I have to come back to try it out! Service was amazing, and Fatima was very helpful!! Princes are very reasonable, plus the food quality! Their apple walnut dessert is also bomb!

Tripas, asada, pastor, and suadero tacos!

Don't let the small amount of yelp reviews fool you! This place can get pretty busy on a Friday night. Definitely underrated taco trunk!! I love the tripas and suadero here, if you've never had either of them I definitely recommend ordering suadero instead of asada and tripas if you want something crispy and full of texture. I also really like the al pastor because the meat is so soft and the pineapples are always a plus. Their salsas are yummy and I love the creamy green one I just wish they were spicier. The only reason I'm giving this trunk 4 stars instead of five is because I wish they had handmade tortillas. Strawberry horchata isn't too sweet Anne doesn't have a strong cinnamon flavor, heads up it's only available Friday and Saturday's. All in all this is one of my new favorite taco trucks and I'll be coming back a lot!!!!

It is next to a gas station. It looks like a pretty popular place during the lunch hour. It's a smaller place inside, but they do have an outdoor patio. We were able to find a small table, not too far from the front counter. Ordering at the front was easy. The staff was friendly and quick. We could see the cook grilling up the meats as we placed our order. There were at least five different salsas to choose from as well as cucumbers and a chili oil at the self-serve salsa bar. I noticed a customer in front of us ordered a kids plate which included two street tacos and rice and beans. That's what I ended up ordering with Carne Asada and chorizo. There were four or five proteins to choose from for the kids plate. I loved the grilled meats with the char flavor. It was delicious! Everything was well seasoned. I wish I would've ordered a third or maybe even a fourth taco because it was that good! I will definitely come back many times and it's going to be on our lunch rotation for sure.

Taco Gutierrez you have my whole heart!…read more After having moved to Santa Ana last year this has become my go-to spot for tacos close by. It's hard to find a good Taco Tuesday but they do a great job helping the community and keeping the prices $1.50 for basic meats like pollo, asada, and al pastor. I personally love my lengua and this truck has some of the best I've tried! It is a bit pricier but definitely worth it given the taste/quality. A couple things about the condiments--green sauce is spicier than you think, red one is more of a salsa and not that hot. Radishes are unfortunately not very crunchy/juicy at this location so I don't get it as often as I would at other taco spots. If you're ever in a rush, they do phone orders AND DoorDash. I've done all the methods and quality stays up there each time! However, if you do wanna enjoy your tacos right after they're prepared, you can always sit at their tables next to the truck. They have quite a bit of dining space and I've never seen it too crowded to the point of having difficulty finding a spot to sit. In terms of finding the truck, you just need to turn into S Hathaway St. Very close to the train tracks. I park in any free space they have there, since the businesses are usually closed after 5pm (which is when the truck opens).

This is the kind of place you rely on when you need something solid, fast, and satisfying. My usual order is the asada or cabeza tacos--and they don't hold back. The tacos are big, flavorful, and consistently good every time. Every now and then I switch it up with the chile relleno burrito, which is also worth it. Everything I've had here hits. The salsa selection is solid too. They don't have it laid out anymore, but you can just ask at the counter--and they'll take care of you. They've always been cool about giving extra when needed. They've also got a good variety of drinks to go with it. I usually take my food to-go, but the outdoor patio is there if you want to sit and eat.
