We usually order food from this spot whenever we go to Twisted Tiki which is in the same marketplace. Tacompadre has tacos, burritos, quesotacos, alambre, loaded fries or nachos, and a few other miscellaneous items. They also have a good selection of proteins including asada, pastor, birria, chicken, chorizo, suadero, and conchinita, as well as a veggie option. The same space is shared with Mongiello's Pizza and Wings, and we ordered items from both menus at once at the register. We ordered our food to go to take to TT, but there is also a common dining area in the center of the market. My girlfriend had three tacos plate ($11.99), two pastor and one veggie. It comes with rice and beans, and we ordered a side of chips ($1.99). They have a self-serve station with utensils and several large covered steel containers of different salsas with small cups to fill. Each of the tacos have two tortillas, and she thought they were good, but she didn't care for the rice or beans. The chips were fine, and the two salsas we tried were good. Our food from both menus was ready pretty quickly, and the staff member was friendly.

Amazing service and delicious food. Jeremy was a great person and I loved the pizza!! My sister loves her tacobirrias.

Al Pastor Burrito W/ Everything Rice, Beans, Cilantro, and Onion.

Been to this place a few times, and have not left disappointed. The speed of service was top tier, and the wait for a burrito was minimal, less than 5 minutes. The salsa bar was out of this world , be careful though. You will feel the burn! Fuego Must try their pineapple salsa Lots of seating and good vibes all throughout the dining area.

Our new favorite tacos! This place is definitely going to hit a Yelp top 20 spots list soon based on my experience! These are larger than street tacos and they Jam Pack with delicious tender flavorful meats. Great taco Tuesday deals as well but the price is good anytime of the week. Birria is so flavorful and moist and carne asada is grilled and juicy. Salsa bar is excellent. Everything in it was a big hit especially the green salsa, Pinneaple salsa, the grilled onions, and that super spicy salsa. The owner and staff are all amazing with customer service and makes you feel very welcome. I'm definitely adding this into my regular meal rotations!

Large portions and good bang for your buck. Tacompadre is located in downtown Santa Ana parking is structure which is free for one hour. Restaurant has table seatings and a arcade upstairs. I got the three taco plate with veggie chicken and asada. My fiance got the fajita style with asada and suadero. Service was a bit slow due to the large order they were making but were in no rush so wasn't a huge deal. They have many salsas and topping on the side. Asada was my favorite! Chicken was a bit dry, but the salsa helped. They also have pickled pineapples which is delicious. Overall solid taco place that will keep you full for a while.

The food is amazing. Pictures look accurate to what you receive. The service is great. They are patient with first timers to the establishment and the ambiance was just right. Being in a marketplace with two other eateries it really stands out. We got the queso tacos and the quesadilla both were excellent. Also do not forget to grab the cannolis! They also have halal options which is amazing and very inclusive for everyone to enjoy!

The food was a 10/10! We really enjoyed everything that we bought. Honestly great space as well it's a food hall with this being one of the 4 places to choose from. Upstairs is a totally fun vibe with an arcade and bar and nice patio seating outside. We sat on the second floor and enjoyed the dodger game. The service was great the manager was super nice. The parking lot is a bit small but there is a bigger parking lot a couple blocks away.

    French fry nachos!

My wife and I were in Santa Ana for a show at the Observatory when hunger struck so we decided to grab a bite before hand. Thanks to the help of Yelp, we made our way to Tacompadre! Now, originally we planned on getting some burgers in the same building, but thanks to some very compelling photos of nachos we decided this was the place to try. My wife ordered some nachos with el pastor while I ordered some french fry nachos with birria! Did we really order two nacho dishes? Yes, because one of them used tortilla chips as a base while the other used french fries and I will always, and I mean always, order a dish bashed around french fries. The food didn't take long to come out and when It was done, it was piping hot. I only tried a few bites of the regular nachos, but the el pastor tasted good as well as the chips, cheese, and veggies on top. Now it's time to talk about the real dish here, the French Fry nachos! The dish itself was bigger than I anticipated, covered in cheese, covered in tasty birria, and tasted great. Overall, Tacompadre was a solid place to grab some dinner before a show and one I'm glad I stopped at. On top of having some tacos, upstairs from this place is a bar with a ton of old arcade machines! So if you one dinner and some fun, head on over!

Tacompadre is one of a few food options in the McFadden Public Eatery - a trendy food hall with neon lights, seasonal decor, and lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Tacompadre primarily serves tacos and burritos, along with traditional sides, agua fresca, and a few dessert options. I got the 3 tacos plate with chicken, carne asada and al pastor. My favorite was the al pastor, which was nice and flavorful with a kick of spice. They left the salsas, onions, cilantro and other sides like grilled onions out so that you could add to your hearts desire! A nice surprise was the horchata, which was probably the best horchata id ever had. It had the perfect amount of sweetness and wasn't watered down like some horchatas you'll get in other places. Overall, solid pick for quick, tasty food

It's hard to find a good Taco Tuesday but they do a great job helping the community and keeping the prices $1.50 for basic meats like pollo, asada, and al pastor. I personally love my lengua and this truck has some of the best I've tried! It is a bit pricier but definitely worth it given the taste/quality. A couple things about the condiments--green sauce is spicier than you think, red one is more of a salsa and not that hot. Radishes are unfortunately not very crunchy/juicy at this location so I don't get it as often as I would at other taco spots. If you're ever in a rush, they do phone orders AND DoorDash. First off, I really love that they use charcoal to cook their meat. That smoky flavor is something you just can't replicate with other cooking methods, and it definitely stands out. They also give a generous amount of sides and avocado with every taco, which I really appreciated. I ordered the tripe, chorizo, and carne asada tacos. The carne asada was good--nice flavor overall, though it could use just a touch more salt. Still very enjoyable and easy to overlook. I'd give the asada a 8/10. The tripe taco was where I struggled a bit. I usually like tripe with a bit of bite and crunch, but this one was way too crunchy. At one point I genuinely wondered if I was going to crack a tooth . It also needed more salt.If they cooked this a little less honestly this would be much higher on my rating. I'd rate the tripe a 5.5/10. The chorizo was well cooked and flavorful. Like many places now, the seasoning was lighter so you can adjust it yourself, which I don't mind at all. I'd give the chorizo a 7/10. Overall, this is a decent taco truck with some solid flavors and good portions. Worth checking out, especially if you appreciate charcoal-grilled meat.
